I wanna get really drunk and tattoo a friend. When they ask me my credentials I'll say " Don't worry! I watched this eHow video on youtube, I got this!"
for the this outline, i would of used a RS5 < tht needle look to small, your r barely visible n look scratchy...a line is from point A to point B. duh!
i have four tattoos. one on my upper right arm same place as the guy in the video then two on the back of my forearms and one on my right shoulder blade. shoulder blade was the worse. forearms not bad even tho close to the bone.
@MrMofoc jesus christ thats so real, its straight assinine for someone watching an informational video to learn, to criticising the information given. dont watch it if you know everything!!!
Very good vid. It gives me more confidence to do better outlines. I have just begung tattooing and have a clinet who's skin has issuses with taking ink sometimes how can I fix that..? Thanks and thanks for sharing.
@shanedawsontv66 about a 3. If you have ever had a bad sun burn and someone slaps it, the stinging feeling you get is wat it feels like. thats about the best way to describe it i think
Every tattooist is different, almost all of tattooing is artist preferation, from the machinhes you use to the voltage you set your machine too. What may work for some artist may not work for others, so its hard to criticize this guy if what he is doing is working.
it dosent matter how long u been tattooing for u can tattoo for 50+ and still not know everything about tattooing theres always new techniques and ways to tattoo ive been tattooing for 4yrs now and still got along way to go
This guy has made a huge mistake.. The face of the snake(or any face face that matter) should be facing forwards.. that´s a basic rule... Unles the customer reqests otherwise..
good stuff, thanks for the help and don't worry about the haters. haters are gonna hate. I'm about to be apprenticed but i will still come back and look when i need help. Any type of artist never knows everything and always feels like they can improve their thechnique and skills
if your lines are shaky then your hand is unsteady, or you have your machine tuned wrong and the needle is bouncing around inside the tube, how many rubber bands do you use to secure your needle? i have a year of professional experiance and all of the first tats i did werent scratchy at all
Are there any techniques to be less shaky or for my lines come out less shaky? And what else can contribute to shaky lines besides my hand? And I think you're awesome dude honestly!...
@LorenzoEVE who told you that? cause all my boys and me run it when weput the tip in the ink just make sure you dont bottom out in the cap and if you watch videos of pros you can see the same thing.
That's a pretty good cover up. Excellent line work, I saw you working on this tattoo in another video as well, it turned out beautifully. Thanks for the advice
@whipout and LorenzoEvE Yes you run the machine when you dip in the ink cap, that's how you draw the ink into the tube. Just be careful because you don't want to touch the bottom or sides of the cap as you could bend the needle.
Why is he going over lines twice? Are you guys serious? How could people that don't know the basics be so quick to comment? It's called sculpting lines. A good tattoo usually has a variation of line widths. It's not a matter of using a 5 or an 8 needle. Go look up Guy Aitchison and ask him why he goes over lines twice. I hope you fools don't tattoo.
@MARMARR1 I agree. One must have natural artistic talent in the beginning then learn techniques. In order to trace properly, especially critical sections like eyes, one must be an artist who could draw the original and improve it in some cases if it's neccessary or if lines are blurry or have disappeared. A person who can't draw could never do as well. I've encountered many people who say "I can't draw, but I can airbrush or tattoo". Not like one who can do both. They're in the wrong profession
@MARMARR1 Not exactly. Just like comic inkers don't have to be great artists to be gret inkers although it is helpful. If a great artist draws the original, and you are a good inker, then all you need to do is trace the art, stencil it onto the skin, and ink the baby with a tattoo machine. Done deal.
I've given several freehand tats myself, no stencil at all. But then again, I am also an artist.
@architectus777 ....Too true i am ok at inking but cant draw to save my life, then again you can be a good artist but not necessarily be able to tattoo it on the skin..and i'm afraid being an artist is a gift
@Tat2b I watch these so i can learn, i have done three tattoes they turned out fine, And i learned mostly from youtube, and every video i watched had coments where people were saying the videos were bad. CUZ THEY GOT O SKILL
QUESTION: For line variation, is it better to start with a small liner and go back over later with a larger one? OR better to use a larger liner and fix the small spots with a small one later?
@zstahlg honestly, just use one needle and powerline. Do your line, i usualy use a 5 round, and then once you have the entire outline done, make another line right next to it with the same needle to thicken it up where you see fit. THeres no need to switch needles. :)
@beautifulburnett87 it's not my work on the vid..just querying ur statement because when i work i find it easier to go from the top left and work down so that im not wiping ink everywhere..ill try ur method next time see how that feels :)
