Simulation games, such as arma, is mainly used for tactics, techniques, squad procedures, offensive, defensives, patrolling operations and so on. Obviously, VBS2 is more simulation than arma 2. Oh, the reason why games like arma 2 isn't as high-rated and popular as BF/moh is cuz:

It's not an arcadegame. It's not trying to catch the mainstream. It's in the first place developed to be as realistic as a game possibly can be, second It's about fun and gameplay. MOH is all about fun and great gameplay.

When games become very realistic many tend to see them as boring. Most people do. Personally, I love arma 2 for It's authenticity and realism. It's a military sim.

Haha, no, they're not. The military doesn't use battlefield to demostrate proper military simulation. I do like moh, its a fun game, but its not realistic at all. If you get shot in the leg in arma 2, you'll have problem to run and aim, and your character will make weird noises because of the pain. If you're unlucky, you won't be able to walk at all, so you'll be have to crawl. Enemies can aim and shot you down 400m away. If you face them up close, it might take one second until you're dead. VBS2 is a tactical military simulation developed for the military at first, and arma 2 is based on that.

BF is an arcade game, not simulation.

I've never claimed that all games are 100%. It's obvious they are not. What I meant was that arma 2 is the most realistic experience you'll get through a game. It doesn't matter if MOH is based on a book. The GAMEPLAY isn't close to being realistic. MOH doesn't feature proper military tactics, the weapon handlings is not correct, the ballistics is not correct, nor is the animations, discharge effects, tracers etc. You can be healed after taking a few 7.62x39mm rounds.
