As in any kind of dance i've seen except tango ! Anyway, It's not so true in the céilí's, I think, there is more women in the classes.

It looks like you have a distinct lack of younger men, or for that matter, even older men.
Just like it is here in the states. :)
SOMETIMES there are enough men for it to be M/F all around, but usually not.
