I've been searching all over the internet for months on where I could download this song as to no avail. Does anyone know where to download this song or even the whole album? I had a cassette tape of this album and used to love blasting this in my car back in the day. I had no idea the singer is Asian and looks hot too!
What? Too good for #13? Can't upload the LP that boosted this record? Fuck you So So def. I sued your ass for stealing my beatz. UPLOAD WHAT I ASK OR IT WILL HAPPEN AGAIN!!! I GAVE YOU 6MONTHS!!.
NO ONE BEATS THIS RUKUS LIKE THE SO SO DEF MOFUCKAS.
@IlokanoPINOY I wouldn't call this freestyle. It's more booty bass. Katrina "six eight" and Corina "summertime summertime" I'd consider freestyle. Even Inoj "Time after time" is a bit on the freestyle side. Dana Harris, Lathun, and Ricky Bell... well, I guess they COULD crossover to freestyle. But if the freestyle community doesn't accept Ghosttown Dj's as freestyle, then this definitely isn't, even though I play it all together. Besides, ATL isn't that familiar with freestyle. Just bass mostly.
@ llokanoPINOY part 2: Rockell "in a dream", Angelina "release me remix", Lil Suzy "take me in your arms", Jocelyn Enriquez "a little bit of ecstacy", Lina Santiago "It feels so good", Corina "constant craving", Rockell "I fell in love", Buffy "Give me a reason"...etc Those are true freestyle sounds. What's funny is that in the latin community, they call it bass. These songs did not make it in Atlanta since there was no station to play it at the time. 95.5 The Beat eventually played SOME...
Classic ATL music! HOTlanta! Atlanta felt like a whole nother' planet from the rest of the world when I was growing up! This brings back so many fun and good memories!
@dipsettabird it's cause ATL bass was not very mainstream at the time. it was popular but still was kind of underground. the masses did not really catch onto it but the few who did loved it.
@inertiaBOSS thats mad crazy. i thought if was down souf R&B it should've took of . matter of fact the type of music is related to is dis n dat, 69 boyz luke sky walker & inoj
@RandomentalTV foreal..... i still have my so so def bass allstars cd. lol. makes a good workout cd. raheem the dream, kilo, ghost town djs....and more.
Man, I don't think I ever listened to this song on Vol. 2. I was in college too. I guess I missed out. The track on this jam is hot and is so indicative of how hot the 90's were in the "A".
Blazin' joint! The So So Def Bass All-Stars album, Volume 2, was released early summer '97. I remember it being the main CD I'd bump in my ride that summer. "Apple Pie" was one of 8 songs I was really feelin' on the album.
