  • Truthful music with no added frills, simply sublime. Folk these days dont know what beauty is!

  • Ah, '80s'' music -so deep, so soulful, so entertaining and so beautiful. The music of this past decade can't hold a candle to it. I was only nine when that decade ended but I have very fond memories of growing up in that decade and the music, fashions and everything else about it

  • It's gay? WTF are you talking about - where did you come up with the idea that this is a song about homosexuality.

  • so your gay?

  • Maybe baby.

  • It's definitely ot gay, but it's good that it speaks to your soul.

_P.S.- This is a song dedicated to the way music should be, or the oldies (of their time) they even have an ode to Marvin Gaye

  • I'm NOT gay. I'm a female mother of 4, and old enough to be most of you's granny.

    I love this song though.

  • This is classic!

  • c. 1983 Chrysalis Records. A division of A & M Records. And WEA International for the world outside of the United States. A Time Warner company. Used by permission. All rights reserved.

  • This one will always have a special place. I was so much wiser then--- I'm younger than that now.

  • Love this song and everything was true from me to her.

  • man '83 was so much fun. i was 17 and full of life. Now all these youngsters refer to me as old. They can suck my old balls. I enjoyed my life musically that's for sure. This stuff nowadays sucks really bad. I'm glad I can flash back and remember the early 80's. They're the best of times ever.

  • Ya,I guess they can suck my old balls too, that would make a total of 4 old balls, but then who's counting ,lol Lets here it for us geezers that don't dig the current stuff, cheers.

  • The younsters nowadays can suck on our Schweaty Balls. There are lots of great treats this time of year - Zucchini Bread, Fruitcake.. but the thing that I most like to bring out this time of year are my Balls.

  • Completely agree with you. I'm slightly younger by a couple years, but the music of the 80s will always remain awesome. The music of today is generally junk "performed" by hacks.

  • i completetly completely agree i ve been looking for this song for days my friend didn't even know i was looking for it she was just like hey wanna listen to this song i ws so happy always appreciate the past 70's and 80's forever

  • Here's another decision I've made: When the road calls me, I'm gonna listen to it. I spent the past year working behind the wheel, but still, I'd forgotten what driving was all about. From here on out, I'm gonna be one with the open road. It's gonna be me, my sweet ride—or whatever ride I have at the time—and a six-disc changer stocked with the best rock known to man. I'll find myself a nice, flat stretch of road with no traffic lights or cops, and I will fly.

  • talk about hacks half of them who sample this suck ass only 2 people who did a good job singing to this sample are PM Dawn and Nelly. as far as sikk the shocker and Z-ro horriable I like Silkk's stuff don't get me wrong but be there was garbage.

Lloyd also used this beat which I love and hate I love it because my boo thinks of me on that song and I hate because of Lil Wayne on it.

she plays that and then I play this for her

  • Łůīĝï™:Damn! This track is an awesome song when you're with your girl alone. You know?

This song comes up on 94.7 The Wave. Also a good weaking up song in the morning.

  • to me, it will always be a song sounded sung by someone much older. decent tune.

  • I always did like their guitar in this vid, lol

  • he's a good singer no doubt

and i love the sax solo

  • He's so Hot and I mean he's a Hottie!I love this song and I always have!

  • I have NO idea why GE Smith would even play with these scumbags, but he sure sure sounds like a guitar God.

  • Like God, GE acts in mysterious ways.

  • Who the hell is GE?

    And who are the "scumbags"?

  • top 5 song of all time

  • yeah real old i'm 25 moron

  • haha

  • Listen to the lyrics. This song isn't about loving a person, it's about acid.

  • If you don't like it, don't view it

  • Man...Good music is timeless!! WOW!!

  • hahaha l0ve da 80s!!! even th0ugh i waznt 0ne

  • sinned?

  • ya great song, but the guitarists knows he's suppossed to try to look like he's playing right?? Probably was like *this much is true hoo, oh shit on camera....just sing and strum guitar, it'll pan away.... this much is true hoo hoo* Mr. Sexy sax hips in back too

  • excellent work!

  • Great song

  • This song was incredibly powerful.

  • Hey,ya'll got any Slayer?

  • its such a classic

been hearing this tune forever and just found it :))

the place in the vid reminds me of somewhere from my dreams hah

  • Some of the best times the era of the mid to late 80's R&B. Smooth romantic sounds, infinitley better than today's R&B.

  • hes so cute <<<<<<<<<<<<<3333333333

  • Classy. Nobody wears a suit in their videos anymore.

  • i like the PM DAWN song too <33

  • Love this Tune .. + the sample version from PM Dawn ...

  • If you're looking for a better song, you will be looking for a long time!

  • Lloyd the r&b singer stole this tune

  • All I know is that when this song was played by the DJ you didn't want to be leaning against the wall !

  • i love this song! but there are parts in it that doesn't sound 2 good :(

  • the drummer cracks me up during the sax solo around 3:17 to 3:21 it looks like is he's singing and he is really into it.

  • LOL - I hadn't noticed that before! That's really funny -- and cute! :)

  • LOL.! ME 2

  • well said

  • This song lives forever and many artists have sampled it into their music. These guys have been blessed with blue-eyed soul like Hall and Oates and the Righteous Brothers. It really takes talent to reach out to all people in music.

  • Im falling for you Maja, i think of you all the time

    dont run away from me...

  • Back in the 80's, nothing contemporary

held my interest, but I always admired this number. It seemed very Bacharach

    influenced.

  • gay?? ...Who gives a shit.....

    That sax solo sucked..

But the song is fuckin great. geat composition.

Naver realized how good a song this was.

  • This is original music. no one tried to copy each other. 80's were the greatest

  • 60s-80s, most original decades....cause no one sampled anything

  • I seen Jay Z once at Teterboro airport. Was like 11pm or so, he walked into the terminal wearong sunglasses and crap like he was about to do a performance. Meanwhile there's noone around. lol Who's Paris Hilton and Jonas? Kid stuff, I guess.

  • So? you been living in a cave for 2 thousand years?

  • umm im smell a gay shure its not you

  • why are you hatin on the gays?

me thinks thou art clothset fear nazi

  • no, they are married with wives and kids...80s were a decades of gender benders so even straight guys look gay. Miss those times.

  • Ronald Reagan, the USSR, the Delorean, Top Gun, The Goonies, Cindy Lauper, flat top hair styles, The Golden Girls...

    lol

  • was good times, sorry u missed it, have fun with jay z

paris hilton and jonas brothers lucky u

  • You idiot, I was giving props in remembrance of the 80's.

I'm a cold war buff, hence the reference to Reagan and the USSR.

Back to the Future was a great movie, hence the Delorean reference ... cool car.

If I'm flipping through the channels, I'll still pause for Golden Girls and remeber my childhood...

The Goonies? I don't even need to speak on that. What can I say that would do justice...

"lol" ... it was a fond chuckle. I miss those days

    ::smiles::

  • Oh and by the way ... Jay Z is cool...

    Paris Hilton ... Jonas Brothers...

    Who the hell are they..?

I won't honor them with recognition.

Talk Kurt Cobain or Gwen Stefani and I'll accept your allusion to a later decade...

  • for the longest i thought tears for fears song this song

  • One of the classiest 80's love songs out there.

  • with a thrill in my hand and a pill on my tongue. classic, think i will eat a pill myself. thanks spandau ballet

  • pues a mi si me gusta mucho so?

  • I'd sing the chorus to my wife years ago.....she still hates it..........

  • This song is great and I agree it does sound perfect for quiet evenings...

  • This song was playing on my carstereo and some gutter bimbo got jealous so she slammed on her brakes and made me hit her. She was white trash!

  • lol! thats funny

  • One of the smoothest and sexiest songs of the 80s. Definitely gets you in the mood.

  • audio?

  • ... this is the sound of the shiznit

  • sound?

  • I wonder if it is?

  • i remember this song from sixteen candles :)

  • I never tire of hearing this song.

Yes,JFizoust, just because you are uniformed doesn't make this any less of a classic. Timeless, imo.

  • Nelly demo'd thi song "N Dey Say", which I like MUCH MUCH more. But just see'n what's up with this version. Check it out if you'd like.

  • Yeah, throwaway rehashes totally rule over classic songs that have stood the test of two and a half decades.

  • Stood the test? That's why I never even heard of this song or this group before in my life. Hmm, some legacy.

And at least listen to the song before popping off at the mouth.

I was trying to be nice, but theres always got to be at least one smart-ass.

  • One word:Classic!

  • So true Funny how it seems Always in time, but never in line for dreams Head over heels, when toe to toe This is the sound of my soul This is the sound I bought a ticket to the world But now Ive come back again Why do I find it hard to write the next line When I want the truth to be said I know this much is true With a thrill in my head an a pill on my tongue Dissolve the nerves that have just begun Listening to marvin all night long This is the sound of my soul
  • wow so good lookin....
