  • seems like way too much work... id rather have the ppl at brewtime do it lol

  • OK, ok so I'll tell you guys this one if you promise not to tell ANYONE! I use turbonado sugar mixed w/mollases cooked in a large non stick pan. Add water and cook to desired color. Pour onto a non-stick cookie sheet. You may need more than one. When it hardens break and re grind into powder. Before it hardens you can even add spice hints of your choice. Your friends will beg you to tell them your secret. Make them suffer a little before you do.

  • who ever invented beer i would like to meet

  • If you drink enough, I'll bet I can convince you you've met him already. ;)

  • @zerokiryucross the egyptians?

  • i love the 7 year old in the backround

  • We love her too. :)

  • ever thought of just priming the bottles insted? and its less of a risk for contamination. I use a little funnel and measuring spoons,500ml glass bottles prime each with 3/4 tea spoon cap n shake done.

  • Actually, no I haven't thought of that. Are you saying you just drop in the dry sugar and shake it in? Do you find you have any problems with aeration that way?

Seems like more work. We boil the priming sugar/water mixture, so we haven't had any infection issues (knock on wood!).

  • Yeah just dry sugar go aroung all the bottles with the funnel and measuring spoon (only takes 5 mins tops, fill the bottles with the wond (little bottler) cap then give them a shake, your done. no need to boil clean up pan and extra bucket. imo its faster/better less work.
