For anyone who owns the Pmdg 747-400 for fs2004 of fsx, i strongly recommend you purchasing the aoa training video. It tells you everything you need to know about the aircraft and also includes a 2+ hour video of a flight from KSFO - EDDF using the PMDG aircraft and going through important aspecs of the software and how to use it. It makes the FMC seem as easy as making ice... And autolands, localizer landings, emergency takeoff and landings are all included in this amazing product.
