Ah yes, the Choir of the West.Still one of the most beautiful Sounds I've ever heard from a choir. I heard them with Maurice Skones as director in a great cathedral in St Louis, Mo. They sang James Erbs 'Shennandoah'
and fully utilized the acoustic to a dazzling effect. I'll never forget that evening.The pristine singing tradition is obviously in the hands of a new master. Bravo!
One of my proudest achievements was to perform with great conductors at PLU like Dr. Nance, Dr. Sparks, and the late and beloved Dr. Holloway.
