If you do put tie dye in your microwave, you are not suppose to use your microwave again for heating up food for human consumption. I don't know about rit dye though.

Rit dye is HORRIBLE for tie dye. Procion MX is the only way to go.

Don't use RIT dye.  It will fade. Use Procion.
