  • I wish I sounded that good after "2 or 3 weeks"!!!

  • playing harp, 2 or 3 weeks now....lol

  • Hi, if you take out all of the 12ax7 preamp tubes and replace them with 12ay7 you should be all set.

  • hi tim got a deville getting too much feedback will this help, also i am in australia.

  • You bet man!!!

  • Wow, that is really good, I wasn't expecting that tone. And, by the way, do you fix up cars? ;) hahaha.

  • Thanks Zack, much appreciated. T.T.

  • nice sounds-

  • Tim: Do you ever gig with the Harp Commander in a loud setting (blues/rock) straight into the PA without using an amp as well?

I'm impressed with the sounds - and obviously the portability is GREAT. But if you have to drag around a stage amp too, the portability factor would be sort of negated, no?

  • Yes, It works great straight into a p.a. I was trying to show the versatility of the device, by using it to get nice breakup at low volume with a big amp.

  • Very nice sound! I really like your playing style. That is my kind of playing. I can't believe you can sit so close to the front of your amp with no feedback.

Let me ask you something. If you were using a fender champ with a boss-dd20 and a 1940s era Astatic brown biscuit how would you tweak things? I get all kinds of nasty squeaks and feedback. I have been playing a long time, but am slightly retarded when it comes to tweaking electrical gizmos.

  • Great playing there Tim! Going to see your band soon at the News Cafe!

  • hell yea

  • if you google, holmes engineering, you can find the info.

  • where can u buy one of these and how much does it cost?

  • Hi,

I have a fender bassman and a Harp commander 3 that I am trying to sort out. The amp needs some valves changing for lower ratings and I would like to get a good tone from the HC 3.

Could you tell me how you have connected the HC up to the power side of the amp to get the tone at lower volumes as I would really like to know how to use this great piece of technology.

    many thanks

  • oxharp, i am using a blues deville amp, it has inputs for effects that a bassman does'nt

  • sounds real good mi friend, did u say are plug in into the power section of the 4x10" amp?..via effect loop?thanks chili.

  • thanks chili, yes harp commander jr plugged into the power amp in of the blues deville
