HEY I LOVE THE INTRO, LOL. Looks like a cool set-up for the FPV. It's got good picture. How is the range on the FPV? How much did just the FPV set-up cost in US dollars (with out the DVD player or the plane)? Wow blue skys as far as the eye can see and I see your hands got cold too lol. What did you record the video on to? I did not see a recording device.

@gwsslowstick (transmitter/receiver,camera and cable) cost 110$ in sweden. cheaper from US

just plug and fly

but i wanted to record in good HD quality

so i striped a cheap used HD camera (aiptek z500)

mounted the lens from the fpv kit camera on the HD camera. connected the AV out to the transmitter

that way i can see through the HD camera live and record to the camera at the same time

so the recording device is in the camera on the plane

range about 500meter stock antenna

@emfu82 That is very cool. You have nice clear video and a means of recording now you just need to boost your signle for more range and maybe some video goggles and you would be set. Ok maybe an OSD also.

I'm going to look up that aiptek z500 camera. I want to see how big it is.

I didn't look too bad. How much of it did you do using FPV?

@protusx it´s my 3:e flight with FPV gear. so i only used the monitor about 30% of the flight.

It´s really hard to estimate distance through the camera.
