you have excellent technique, it kinda sounds like your rushing your double strokes. try and clean that up a lil bit, slow it down maybe? i dont know about you but i have to be able to play something slow before i can play it fast.
@MrHeavanell Or he played it too fast, or he was having an off day. I can recall during highschool, some band practices, everything was perfect. Some things were a bit off.
is it better to use snare marching sticks or quint mallets on this pad.. im asking because i just ordered and im trying to figure out if my mallets would work with them
@joedmagg Or even better, tenor sticks. It'd be best to practice with what you usually play, but if you use mallets, try some Tom Aungst Tenor Hybrid sticks or Promark System Blue sticks, because I doubt you would get any rebound from a mallet. Have fun. :)
I clicked on this video thinking it would be another 12 year old trying to play some drumline beat that they made up. I finished this video feeling like drumming society bent me over and spanked me. Good Day.
I liked it, I'm a tenor drummer myself actually in a DCA corps right now marching cymbals (still sweet) ... only thing i could say apart from the ticks (understandable cuz that's a hard piece) is dynamic contrast, liven it up i say! get some tap heights in there grace notes 9/3 stuff ... food for thought ... i still really liked it ... i second the nice flam drags lol
hey dude cool stuff! nice pad too!!!! Whats up with the like middle thing..i'm guessing thats for if you just want one spock and have it centered?? but anyways that was pretty cool :P

If you made a lick and even you play it dirty, then it's too hard.

i found that mike stevens tenor mallets rebound just the same because its a wooden mallet instead of aluminum
