Greco-Buddhism, sometimes spelt Graeco-Buddhism, refers to the cultural syncretism between Hellenistic culture and Buddhism, which developed between the 4th century BCE and the 5th century CE
I don't know about the last five, but as for the eightfold path - Buddhism morals arise out of the resolution to live in a planet filled with happy beings. Buddhism deals with the problem of the universality of human suffering, and so the imperative is 2 eradicate the suffering of all beings. THAT is where the Buddhist philosophy of ethics comes from, it's y Buddhism teaches non-violence. It's not a commandmend given by a supernatural foce, but an imperative born of insight and maturity.
