I have never known a JarHead that was more committed to being a JarHead/Leatherneck/ than my father. He was my father. I'm soooo very proud of him, and thank you to the Hybernian Nation for making it to Dad's funeral.

If I ever catch the person who invented the bagpipe there will be hell to pay. That basic monotone note is about as irritating as having a cockle burr in your shorts. Whew! What sort of a twisted mind would take a cows udder, stick a wooden flute in it and call it a musical instrument, and you can't tune it to any standard. And to top it off, get in a skirt to play it. Like it or not, that is just pretty darned bizzare. Then base an entire countries musical heritage on it. LOL
@SuperGabe55 The "kilt" is a which came first the chicken or the egg? If men, and I use the term loosely, were the first to wear this knee length garment it may have been a kilt. If women were the first, then it was a skirt. In virtually every country in the world the women wear it so the majority rules...it's a skirt. Sorry. It is considered cross dressing to everyone but the Scots. All kiddding aside when the bagpipes are played with one of the guard bands it makes for a great sound.
