Strange, when I play this from youtube it works correctly with no vocals on one channel. But when I download it to my computer the vocals are on both channels.

@terrisonb - maybe it is the software that modified it. On the VCD, there is only vocals on one channel.

They created it that way for karaoke so that when one hits the multiplex switch on the player,

it turns off the left voice channel and bounced the right channel on to the left.

The right is the music only channel.

I have downloaded several ORIGINAL FOOTAGE Karaoke from your, all the Karaoke function work, with the only exception of San Francisco, the vocal stays no matter what, any idea why? maybe you know how correct that?

@conniejjh - if you plug it into your stereo, you will notice that the voice is only

on the left channel and not the right channel. Then turn off that left channel

and it will just be music only.

Yes it is. For anyone who wonders: just separate the stereo channels. The left is a stereo channel. It is a mono karaoke track. The right stereo signal is the mono original. If you play the right signal in your headphones you can sing along easily. Record the vocal track and mix it with the left (karaoke) track. The advantage is that since the karaoke track follows the original, it will automatically be in tune and on rythm so you don't have to align the vocal track with the music afterwards.

I have a Pioneer 555 Karaoke player.

It has a multiplex switch.

When I turn it on, the voice goes away.

If I don't use the karaoke player,

I could do exactly what you describe by turning off the left channel that has the voice.
