i wish that when i was in my teens like 7 years ago that i had a best friend like you who had the same passions, because i love doing like drawing challenges and such... STILL DO TO THIS DAY! @bluel0v3 Sometimes I look up a bunch of different drawings so I know exactly what a certain thing looks like; in this case, I looked at a bunch of different teddy bears and used bits and pieces of each. But, I do come up with some completely on my own - once you have head and body shapes stored in your mind it gets a lot easier.
