Not because is in freaking japanesse and I can't get a word they say, but like seriously, doesn't the performance speak by itself, what's the need of having two morons "saying" what the performer is doing? Are we fucking blind? Can't we count the spins by ourselfs? Do we need these idiots talking shit in the background? The man is iceskating not building a rocket, what's to explain. Can't they just shut the fuck up and enjoy like we do?
He's 27, that's 2 years to old for the olimpics. Time takes its toll my friend, no matter how hard you train, you'll never have the flexibility and agility of a 15 year old ever again. That's life in this sport. If it makes you feel better at 27 he's got more money than you and I will probably see in our whole lifes. :)
Plushenko is 27 and on course for another Olympic title. Also, 15 for mens skating as opposed to ladies skating is not an age where a man hits his peak or can even be competitive.
Jeff's retirement came because of what he wanted in his personal life, not because of his age in that he couldn't do it.
@StewNWT I second this. Man I was distraught the day of his announcement. I was planning on going to the mens event in Vancouver to see him and then he went and retired on me. Poo. At least I have Jeremy Abbott now.
For me the quality of his skating surpasses even Patrick Chan. Jeff uses his whole body when he skates, it's a rare quality that reminds me of Oksana Baiul in her prime. There's just never an unappealing moment. One of the few skaters that manages to be so lyrical yet masculine at the same time.
totally amazing - he's been out of amateur skating for a year now, and he still outshone everyone. HIs presentation has grown even stronger. A joy to watch.
@Zuranthium so if ur saying he's gay, he's deffinately not openly gay. BUT HE IS SOOOOOO HOT

so sucks he retired, he could have won worlds with this program and him and Chan could both be on the podium at the Olympics

He retired?! NO WAY. Why? He looks very young to me.

@mcmlxvi Not really. Plushenko was 27 this Olympics and still almost won the gold. He's thinking about sticking around 4 more years!
It all depends on the individual athlete. You can't categorically make a statement like that.

He is really good but he always looks scared shitless in his programs.
How bout that sore loser Plushenko eh? And that fucking MORON Stojko who's damaged his former sport enough. Someone take him out.

Well, masculinity is a very subjective term, but I agree that Jeff is so beautiful on the ice. I really do miss him.

Jeff is a grand master of skating. This program is a joy to watch: music, choreo, and interpretation are all enthralling.
