Wow, that went off quickly! It takes me like 60 seconds for my thermal sensor to activate with a hair dryer.

I have that detector too. I wonder after you test by heat gun, is it still function - have you ever test that thing again?

i would be careful with the heat thing. the set heat will go off if u put to much heat on. thats what happend to me

well its a heat gun....lolz..and it gets very hot than a hair dryer..
Careful. You leave that heat gun there too long and you'll melt the fixed element, alarming the detector forever. You can tell when this happens because the white disc in the center falls to the floor.
