I wonder if this will ever be topped. I think Oksana Baiul was the best Olympic Gold before this but she absolutely takes the cake. Arakawa in 2006 was too safe, we needed a groundbreaker in 2010 and she delivered.

I remember reading earlier comments from some poster whining that she isn't advancing the sport- and this whiner is a skater as well. Some people need to stop acting like sore losers, and realize that they are bots and trolls who will never accept her dominance for a while. Let's see- consistent triple lutz-toe, TRUE edge on the lutz(not fake lutz- a flutz), speed, interpretation, charisma, the IT factor...the list goes on and on. Second rate skaters should not comment on this true champion.

skating a free skate perfectly is extremely difficult. plus this is one of the few times where yuna skates a free skate flawlessly. i think any skater that achives this kind of performance gets really emotional. especially in the olympics, the top sports competitions.

I'm not sure I've ever seen such a talented skater before. She has it all: grace, charisma & athletic ability. She is great in both the presentation & difficulty components. Truly amazing. Her only weak points are her spiral sequence which could use a little more stretch & the foot placement on her laybacks - should point that toe more. But these are minor, minor things - like dust spots on a brand new Ferrari. Just amazing. On so many different levels.
