  • La mia preferita....quanti ricordi raffiorano!!! grandi radiohead!!!

  • Yess, siamo pochi a parlare italiano qui...

  • The music that make you think,Radiohead is probally one of not many that is a good rolemodels for children and teens.

Cheers to Radiohead and continue your fabulous work.

  • love the bass line!

  • lol he said rubbish

  • Símplemente Radiohead, ¡increíbles!

  • butzdi, you're a dink.

  • The best band there is!

and they were discovered in israel which even makes it better.

I can't agree more - Radiohead ,simply Radiohead.

  • Discovered in Israel? They're from England.

  • Israel was the first to broadcast them in the radio intensively, and their first gig outside the UK was in israel.

  • That hardly means they were 'discovered' in Israel.

  • bang on m8 israel whayt would tom say about paestian

  • israel one step from nazi wake the f@uk up

  • I won't even answer that..that's too low.

anyway we're talking music! and not politycs. so get over yourself and concentrate about the important thing (like radiohead). if you want I'm there's allot of places on the net that will love to hear and agree/argue about what you think.

we are here for the music!!!

  • dont put the word isreal in ever message you right and it wont get political

  • Israel and Palestenians both have theyre bad sides, but i think Thom Yorke would pick the palestenians' side, just like me. The israeli's are just wrong there

  • You're all freaking morons.

  • la mejor canción de RADIOHEAD .. cuando la tocaron en Santiago no la podía creer.

    Sin duda son lo máximo

  • they way that every sound starts to fly and coverge with each other & from that curious sudden...start to create this beautiful atmosphere.

that´s why I just cant get tired of them

    Radiohead...simply, Radiohead.

  • mis respetos para esta banda

  • One thing I never understood is how in the mid to late 90's, the British music press was having these huge debates about "who's the best english band? oasis? or blur? oasis? blur?"....and i remember thinking "uhh....are you guys fucking deaf? you have this transcendental band up the road in Oxford that you guys are totally ignoring"

I think in retrospect it's because Radiohead isn't out of a British tradition, nor an American one...they come from NO TRADITION...that's what makes them brilliant

  • well said

  • fair enough but i reckon pablo honey and the bends had britpop roots. i think ok computer was when they started to break out from it

  • what's with the right hand lol

  • My favorite part of this song when it the storm passes at 2:18. Phil's drums and Colin's bass sound absolutely incredible....

  • q buena cancion ojala algun dia visiten Peru

  • Colin is totally an underrated bassist. He's much better than people tend to think.

  • Thom's a clever chap isn't he..... not saying the rest of the band aren't formidable, but for someone who really professes to know very little about what he does, and quote roughly: "I'm rubbish at finishing anything", happens to be able to hold and play a tambourine well enough to command timing attention from the greatest rock band alive! **cking genius in your face people!

  • I really dislike the album version, but when I hear this song live I just get blown away... Weird... Guess I'll just have to buy their live recordings :-)

  • I'm 31 seconds in and I already know what you're saying! that's snare!!!!! and that's the least of it to come!

  • Fucking genius!!!!!!! lets hope they come out with another album soon i can't get enough

  • this is the best live performance i've ever watched i pretty much watch it every day and im stoned right now so even better

  • pure deepness

  • nice drums

  • ive listened to radiohead for about a year and a half, and until about two weeks ago, i never really liked this song.

    now i think its amazing

    ...thats radiohead for you.

  • oh so god damn brilliant

  • FANTASTIC SONG!!!!

    Radiohead # 1

.....Were gonna crack your little souls........

  • This was my favorite song of the 2 days live in México,

    it was AMAZING ORGASMIC!!!!!

    Ill never forget that feeling

  • I really love seeing how into the music thom gets. he just closes his eyes and seems to go somewhere where only the music matters. and I love that little vocal outburst at 2:54, so random but so fitting. when they play live it never seems contrived, forced or over rehearsed, it's like the music just flows out of all five of them naturally. incredible band. they really are one of a kind. a once in a life time band.

  • well put

  • They are simply the best

  • Będę z nimi 25 sierpnia w Poznaniu!!! Już odliczam dni...

  • ive been listening alot of other music.. a little more shallow.. listening back this almost makes me cry xD Fokn briliant

  • radiohead is the BEST!

    *TheCommentThief strikes again*

  • o love this song my fiches

  • Thom's always singing with eyes WIDE shut ! and I love it !

  • wide shut?

  • just a bad play on words ! don't pay attention !

  • does anyone know what jonny is using to get that old school vibrato sound on the keyboard? like a warped track? they use it heaps, and i dont know if its the specific keyboard or its an effect or what!

  • nope wouldn't know, thats the beauty of johnny, he likes to experiment the hell out of things to come up with an amazing sound.

  • The instrument is called Ondes Martenot, have a look at wikipedia.

  • excellent song

  • It always saddens me when people say this album was anything less then excellent.

  • radiohead is the BEST!

  • Thom Yorke Inimitable!

AS.

  • Comment removed

  • el comentario mas estupido e incongruente en la historia de youtube....

  • They are wayyyy too good live!! I love these high quality vids, thanks.

  • Love that bass Colin!

  • Nah, ya pasó, como todo, me cansé de U2... Me quedo con Radiohead mil veces...

  • you're dying for it to break out into a rockbeat

    and it just never does

    genuis

  • esta musica relajaaaaaaaa

  • just so f^*king brilliant!! this song makes me follow white rabbits.

  • radiohead change my life...

  • RADIOHEAD LA MEJOR BANDA DEL MUNDO, sus pupilos son Coldplay.

  • si pero en el peor sentido de la musica

  • radiohead ist the best band ever!! thier music its pure genious

this song its one of the best I've heard in my life

I will to argentina to see them live in march!! cant wait!! hopefully they play this one

  • love this song, awesome album too

httt is still the best lol

  • agreed with everything you said

  • That head movement thing Tom does is kinda scary sometimes.

  • 100/5

  • One of my favorite Radiohead songs.

  • perfect

  • endubadubly

  • 10 out of 5

  • RH, I feel ya buddy! It's like he's battling the noise, pleading for it to quite down and then he finally asks nicely and it "quiets down" fucking beautiful.

    Be constructive!

  • Oh my great lord. This is the best song they've done. It feels like I'm kinda dying every time I hear it. The 2x10" Amnesiac lp is so cool.

  • This song is just ethereal. The first time I heard "wont you quiet down" my jaw hit the fucking floor. There is something about that part that is unlike any other song in the world.

  • This song is utter genius quality of contemporary times in the levels of Beethoven

  • faut pas poussé non plus

  • this song is my favourite radiohead track now....so jazzy, loose drumming, what a bassline....and the singing...so beautifully restrained. i agree that this is one of most underrated songs ever

  • yeah, but one of the greatest ever

  • woaaa i know but then everytime you listen to it your always intrested i fuckinh love it ahhhhhhhhhh

  • what i find so amazing about radiohead is the amazing song construction. for instance, this song and i might be wrong have a constrained feeling to them. The listener feels as if the song will all of the sudden explode into an amazing climax... but it never happens. The song is constraint but in an almost beautiful way. There is amazing tension in the song as if the song is trying to escape and let loose and the music is holding it back. and in my opinion the song is better this way.

  • it probably has to do with the way they randomly threw certain songs together..like the talking heads.

  • Man, you really did put words into it! Great :)

  • Comment removed

  • great alson when they playing LIVE

  • What an eerie fucking groove...

  • I love this song.

  • one of the most underrated songs of all time??

  • its definately up there, its definately better than most of their singles and popular songs

  • the thing i love about radiohead is that their sound is something that can't really be defined because each member consistently throws something new your way. also, each song is its on journey, and after about the 8th listen of each song, it suddenly dawns on the listeners: "wow. this song is amazing." there is not one radiohead song i didn't have this experience with.

  • Phil rocks

  • What guitar effect does Ed use at 4:10 ?

  • There's no telling. His pedalboard is huge. But it sounds like something that's rolling off the entire bottom end and maybe with some additive synth stuff going on in there too.

  • I guess it's a sort of stupid question to ask what effect Radiohead uses for their guitar I kinda just half wanted to see what someone would say

  • People ask me why I think Phil Selway is an astounding gifted drummer...

...it's not because of the fucking orgasm of energy he injects into the music from 2:09 through 2:12...

...it's actually because he's so thoughtful and unconcerned about masturbating all over songs, that he RESTRAINS himself up until then to let the tension build high enough so when the wave finally breaks at 2:18 after his explosion, you're hypnotized.

SUCH thoughtful planners, all 5 of these guys.

  • yeah that's one of my favourite parts of dollars and cents. Phil's calm after the storm moment. completely hypnotizing.

  • "Mistwaters - People ask me why I think Phil Selway is an astounding gifted drummer..."

anyone who asks that clearly isn't a musician.

    he's amazing, and INCREDIBLY underrated.

  • Totally agree. He is as precise as a metronome!

    brizz

  • Yeah I know man. He doesn't try to be showy or anything extra. He has the greatest beats.

  • RE: thedoors436 (11 hours ago) Show Hide

"Yeah I know man. He doesn't try to be showy or anything extra. He has the greatest beats."

he understands that subtlety can be more powerful than "caveman" pounding, and his clock is fucking ROCK SOLID.

  • That bass line reminds me of some incubus song

  • It amazes me how dead on Ed's voice is... He is a very over looked member of this band

  • Yeah,I totally agree .I wonder how his solo album would sound .

  • Someone should really put this fantastic show up on youtube in widescreen with high quality audio now ;)

  • i love Radiohead songs man, the music is amazing...the lyric makes me think and the entire song makes my brain tick. whenever i listen to them i feel like i got something back in return...it was worth every beat and vibration on my eardrums.

its pure art and music and it is something that most artist nowadays cant accomplish.

  • Radiohead > U2/Coldplay

  • the intro is so good, soo gooood

  • Brilliant!

  • This song encapsulates paranoia!

  • god i wish i could live in this song

  • I fucking love that bass line.

  • might as well work as an eerie soundtrack to a thriller movie.

  • that what they mean when they talk about ,.god?

  • Music teachers should play this song to kids just starting to write songs who think it's all about how many chords you cram into a composition.

Here you have a single minor/major oscillation that forms the entire song's core, and yet with the right ornamentation, it's more devastating emotionally than Rush piling 438 chord changes into some prog rock disaster.

Art isn't about how many colors you use, it's about how tactfully you use the colors you've selected for the portrait.

  • amen my friend

  • exactly...

You have a bands like rush, metallica.

If you've heard the song One by metallica it starts with this nice almost clasical guitar bit and then bam the fucking solo come in a ruins everything!

  • Brilliantly written statement. Excellent observation. So true!

  • insert simulntaneous clapping here.

  • so well said man, I wish more had the sense you do

  • Simply beautiful. Love the major/minor back-n-forths.

  • there's just something about this song. it sounds like nothing I've ever heard... even from radiohead. it's so unique. I love it to bits.

  • i know man, it's my favorite song

  • One of the reasons Amnesiac is the best RH album.

  • One of Radiohead's most undrerrated songs, IMO.

One of the best on Amnesiac

  • i probably wouldnt talk to my mom for atleast a year unless i needed something from her. She kept you from seeing god. In her defense though mothers dont want there kids smoking pot. when your 22 they dont care though.

  • this song is better live, radiohead is G()D

  • Hail.

  • 2:25-2:32 FTW.

  • what about it?

  • dude fuck being 17, i had radiohead tickets in my fucking hand on the night that my bitch mother decides to ground me up the ass. Like non escapable grounding. Not only that but I later learn from my friends that they played this song(my favorite song of all time), which i was saying "shit I hope they play this song", and they play a badass paranoid android. FUCK IT!

  • wtf should of jumped out the window!

  • why would you not just leave your house and go?

  • ok let me put it this way haha, nonescapable grounding as in how much grounding a "reefer madness" mother gives to her kid when she finds out he's been smoking weed for the past year in her backyard almost everyday hahaha. Yah it sucked that it was A FEW DAYS BEFORE THE CONCERT. haha i didn't care about any of the crap she gave me, I JUST WANTED MY RADIOHEAD! I will be going to therapy for many years for the blow she has dealt me haha, jk jk. I just moved out of her house and that's whats up.

  • you didn't answer my question dude.. if i had that opportunity i wouldnt give 2 shits. There's nothing she could have done about it sides from ground you more. I saw them twice on this tour- in frisco and SB, and they were both incredible shows. Your loss for not wanting it enough.

  • no you don't understand... she took EVERYTHING in my room away from me, including my guitar case which i keep all my music stuff in, locked that is. She did this before I could even know that she did so. She took my guitar case which had my guitar and ticket in and she brought it to one her friends houses'. And I don't live with her anymore as i said. Dude, believe me man if I had any chance to steal that ticket back I would have wholeheartedly gone and risked whatever bullshit i got from her.

  • not wanting it enough? Dude, I was literally breaking down mentally when i found out that i didn't have the ticket anymore. That concert was my chance away from reality and to see these gods of music in person.

  • TuMira is right, you should have gone for it

  • I wanted to see Radiohead live in concert...but then I got high....

  • That bass line and the eerie guitar riff.. I LOVE this song! This and pyramid song are my favs.

  • I saw them perform this live at the Hollywood Bowl this summer. It was insane and awesome!! But instead of dollars and cents, it sounds like he's saying "We're the daughters of sins" lol.

  • is this on canal plus?

  • One of the most bizarre songs from Amnesiac... I'm glad they did it live

  • Bizarre.... Ive never heard that term used to describe Radiohead but I like it.

  • fuckin sick drums at 2:07

    phil selway ftw

  • is it just me or does it sound like thom's singing something other than the album lyrics in the part where its just bass. sounds like hes singing "its all over the streets at night" or something.

  • Yeah, I hear it as well, it starts at 3:01 for anyone who wants to check.

Well dollars and cents (cents at least) can be found laying around the streets at night..

  • yeah I get "it's all over the streets at night" too. I don't think there's any definite lyrics for this song. even when you look them up something always seems wrong. easily my favourite radiohead song. it's just so "out there".

  • Does anyone know how I can download the mp3's on the link in the description? When I click on a song, all it does it take me to some small player and play the song

  • right click, "save link as"

  • Beautiful noise. & I mean that in a very very good way!

  • Rama Shankar!!!

  • One of my favorite off of Amnesiac.

  • Radiohead are perfect...

  • Thom doesen't seem to hold notes for this nowadays as long as he does here. He's possessed.

  • As far as "Dollars & Cents" LIVE is concerned, Phil Selway seems to have a lot more fun playing the drums. All those fill- ins and off-kiltered rhythms...why the hell doesn't he put that much effort on the studio version of this song?

  • I know right..

  • pretty sure it might have been a loop

  • That's what i was thinking.

  • Good job!
