No, that isn't true. Riccardo and Joanne were in 5th place at the Blackpool Open Professionals Latin. Max and Yulia were in the semi-finals.

I love that they have 2 top pros commentating on this competition, Bryan Watson and Karen something they said a former partner; anyhow, Bryan's commentary helps me understand Y my favorites may not be the top in the competition.

i guess the idsf panel of judges should change the way they judge the couples...it should be the style that should have the higher percentage in judging...because these dances is a form of entertainment...dat's all...

style is definitely a big factor, but technique is equally important.

it is entertainment but don't forget this is danceSPORT... as a sport technique means a lot more. Dancesport can probably be compared to gymnastics and figureskating in terms of art+ entertainment+athleticism

right..well i don't know what competition you're looking at..the top two pair's in this competition are without any doubt Cocchi and Wilkinson, and Konsdal and Franova, the others might have more showmanship but are technical just not as good

All of these dancers have amazing technique with maybe Analeesa Difillipo being the exception. The difference between 1,2, and 3 is not technique, its style and the presentation of the partnership.

Not true. Max and Yulia did not take part in Blackpool 2006 Amateur. They took part in Blackpool 2006 Professional which is higher than Blackpool Amateur. Riccardo and Joanne took part in Blackpool 2006 Amateur.

max and yulia would riccardo/joanne out of the water? Ermmm...I really doubt. Riccardo/joanne were in the finals of Blackpool 2006 and Max/Yulia were no where near them. Sorry....Max is not in Riccardo's league. Yulia is fabulous though so I'd agree that much.

Well, Yulia is now partners with Riccardo, so the partnership is excellent. I think also in terms of height and body type, Yulia is more suited for Riccardo.

Riccardo and Joanne were in the finals of the Blackpool 2006 Amateur Level. Max and Yulia were top 10 in Blackpool 2006 Professional Level. Riccardo then went on to proffesional level in 2007.
