  • I think it would take huge solar panels to heat the water, too big to fit on or around a regular size house

  • could you design a solar thermal unit to run a house - ? thats what im kinda searching for

  • Nice bit of engineering guy, very nice work,

    Thom.

  • smart motherfucker!!!!!!! well done brother!

  • Can you add an oil pump in the block?

Seems to have several friction surfaces

    that need lubrication.

Its a great design. Looks viable for

    automotive & marine use.

  • really cool man, really cool, but I, being 15 years old, couldn't help but notice it sounds a bit like fapping :L

  • actually the sound your hearing is the resonance of the one piece cranshaft and the gears. nothing to worry about:)

  • very very cool.... i would like to learn to build one of this......

  • Absolutely Awesome, Great Job!!!!

  • Absolutely Awesome. Great Job!!!

  • So, the moving blocks on the end, they are the actuators for the valves right? I'm trying to figure this out just by looking at it, lol.

  • I would like to buy one please.

  • The spitting sounds this thing produces makes me want to start laughing for some reason.

  • Thats HOTTTT

  • actually it's the gear that reverses , and attached to it is a MXL type pulley ( a sort of timing pulley) not seen in the video because it was not yet constructed. So the pulley can be used to power something else like a drive shatf.

  • Thats awesome man

  • homemade ?? really ???

  • Do you plan to sell copies of the plans?

  • I love it...hooked up to the coffee pot

  • cool thats awesome !

  • Honestly - that is a seriously good job, looks superb.

  • Very well balanced!

  • If you make another one of these please make a youtube video series of the process.

  • What drove the decision to puth the flywheel offset?

  • @BlakeMason2 The flywheel is offset because the crankshaft has four supports; can't put it in the middle.

  • very nice

  • anyone see the coffee maker

  • Can you please provide me the plans

  • not from this solar system....

  • at 1:21 it cries one single emo tear

  • Cool!

  • You oughtta send me that autocad file!

  • very fine engine and vid,,,, thanks

  • Can this move a generaror maybe 0.5 or 1 Kw ?

  • won't the parts rust from the steam and water

  • Reminds me of my days as a Machinist's Mate in the Navy. Use to work in steam propulsion too.

  • That's awesome, need lot of precission to build something like this. All the timings need to be just right. Did you design it in some kind of sim program first or just trial and error?

  • Yes the whole engine was designed by autocad; but a lot of trials and errors had to be solved. It's the third generation of this kind; A new v-12 is in fabrication, same principle, but twice the number of pistons.

  • AWESOME!!! It's so smooth and quiet!!

    Thanks for the video.

  • Great work! Be careful with that plastic tubing. It won't hold much pressure when it's hot.

  • its like the ends are jumping up and down lol

  • mann how do you do it?! i could only repair some pcs but wat you do here is an ART

  • Somehow, this reminds me of a ship diesel engine. Seems perfect for a ship.

  • That is very nicely designed! Great work.

  • excellent Yanou

    Good job !!!

  • sell it!

  • No sorry this one was given as a gift to my father.

  • Nice work, now let's stop the engine and brew yourself a cup of coffee to threat yourself =]

  • wow, that's pretty much perfectly balaced too!

  • I prefer middle east steam.

  • That is one of the most amazing and beautiful steam engines i have ever seen. it makes me think of how steam engines would have worked if the heydey of steam projected into the 1950s and 1960s. I wish I could buy it :3

  • work of art! I too thought your use of the coffee maker was grand

  • Nice work!

  • I giggled at the coffee maker.

  • how did u make this v6?

  • i want one!

  • he might of not made it

  • It would be cool if you could also incorporate a condenser that pumped the water back into the boiler!

  • @vanepico

    YES YOU MUST DO THAT!

  • Very nice. Clever. Well done.

  • very nice design indeed!

  • Excellent machine design and workmanship...!!

  • Put it into cars lol)

  • cool values operating system.

  • Well done, kudo's!

  • Brilliant! An espresso drinking engine.

  • Nice!!!

  • Spectacular!
