@curtismoff lol dont be hard on him man 2v motors dont breathe well from the factory compared to our 4v heads, stock cams are relatively FI friendly, not to mention i see 14lbs boost with my 2.8 pulley. thats 5 psi over his setup.
How much boost are you running and how many miles did you have on the car when it was installed? I have an 04 GT and I am looking to go S/C and i'm trying to figure how much everything is gonna cost and I am just figuring out whether I would need a new clutch soon after the blower. I got under 32k on my car right now and currently the clutch is still good.
Ironically i had about 32 or 33K miles on my car when i s/c it if i remember correctly. I'm still on stock clutch, trans and rearend. No problems yet, and clutch clamps the power through with no problem. Got over 46K on the clock now. Oh and i'm running 9pounds of boost.
be careful with supercharging the gt on a stock trans, non built motor. My friend first locked his tranny up, and when the tranny was fixed he threw a rod.. car is now back to stock.. just understand what you are getting into. his gt was an 03, and he had just injectors, procharger at 10 psi, and some suspension work and i guess a tune and other supporting mods.. just make sure you know what you are getting into. he had about 30k of abuse with the charger before it blew up.
i have a 99 gt with a vortech v2 that pushes 10psi at redline becouse the centrifical chargers set to hit max boost at redline but i had the stock clutch replaced in mine and not even 15k miles later it was out.... the stock clutch is kinda week so i upgraded to a centerforce clutch and havent had any problems
(no whine from centrificals though its more of a whistle)
ps. also have bbk shorties, o/r bbk xpipe, flowmasters, 42lb injectors, 4.11 gears,

If your going to put the Kenne Bell 2.6L S/C I would recomend a SPEC Stage 3 Clutch. Kenne Bell Tells you EVERYTHING you really need to know and what you need to have to get the best performance out of it.

Stock 3.27 rearend gear. Kenne bell has a ton of low end torque you hardly need any rearend gear at all. Believe me, you would make your dad very happy with a kenne bell for his cobra!
stock t3650 5spd with triax shortthrow shifter and royal purple tranny fluid. Stock clutch to. No problems with over three years with the kenne bell on.
