Applying petroleum jelly on your lips before you go to bed and brushing it off using a toothbrush the next morning works wonders. actually if you just apply a lottttt of the petroleum jelly to the lips when you're about to go to sleep, they'll wake up much less chapped & smooth because the jelly aims to heal any damages. brushing your lips would just make it worse.

this makes no sense... brushing your lips is to exfoliate them and keep them soft but thats when your brushing your teeth and with the same toothpaste you do so to your lips especially in the morning before applying your lip gloss. An added benefit is it actually kills germs as well... putting petroleum jelly simply makes it gross.

FUCKIN crazy thing to do!!! her lips looked like they were burning!!! their color turned red and looked kinda bruised.

applying a good amount of petroleum jelly over night will do the job..and washing the face in the morning with warm water and soap/face wash will make the dead skin wear off on its own with just a wet finger rub.i've been doing this my whole life and it works like a charm.

you can use aquaphor lip repair too, my lips were severely chapped to the point were the skin was cracked pretty bad. it healed it up in about a week. THIS STUFF IS MAGIC

Lip balm is my worst enemy. It really does glue all ur dead skin cells together so if u wanna look like ur lips are cracking so bad they are about to fall off ur face then in my case go right on ahead, Im STILL in search of a lip balm that doesnt dry them out even worse than they already are.

@KarmasLove i had that problrm as well and then i did some research and found that if you take a shot glass fill it half way with granulated sugar and put just a capfull of olive oil in it then scrub you lips with that then use burts bees beeswax lip balm under a moisturizing gloss your lips will stay moisturized for much longer:D

@vgamedude12 Make a paste using olive oil and sugar instead of the petrolium jelly, still using the toothbrush method. Just put some olive oil back on your lips once you've rinsed them off. They feel soooooo nice after :)
