  • National Socialism "works" by exterminating human beings. And national socialism "worked" only with the aid of monopoly capitalism. And according to your reasoning of human extermination, how can you judge whether a system such as capitalism fails? If you accept the logic of National Socialism you must accept the destructive implications of capitalism, the two are quite compatible.

  • @filmsnoirs You are confusing national socialism --Nazism-- with Socialism and Marxism.

  • Marx is right that Capitalism is fucked, but wrong that the solution is Communism. Inequality is an inherent fact of nature and our evolution that should be embraced, and if you want an economic revolution for a fair society, the only way is National Socialism. Things suck because we are carrying the dead weight of the third world, both in our homelands and abroad. White countries for white people that deliver a decent standard of living and write off the rest of the world.

  • @justjokingjacks shocking and distasteful prejudice.

  • @filmsnoirs Reality is harsh. Inequality is part of nature. I don't care if it's shocking or distasteful or prejudiced; only if it's true to reality and works. Both Communism and Capitalism have failed on their own merits. National Socialism was a glorious success until the combined might of the US, UK, and USSR annihilated it and crushed the German nation into the dust and split it in two for nearly half a century. It didn't fail of its own accord.

  • @justjokingjacks That comment was without a doubt, one of the most ignorant and uneducated comments I have ever bothered responding to.

  • Ron Paul 2012 and no socialists please.

  • @999Exploring don't worry, no socialists in this film. Only communists

  • Marx's theory of the economic crisis

    /watch?v=-e8rt8RGjCM

  • Anyone know of a place to get this? download torrent? rent/purchase?

  • @ThomasXp ica.org.uk

  • @Rupertchaucer If I live in canada?

  • @ThomasXp Check your local university's movie theatre. Apparently it will be playing at UBC tomorrow.

  • @RichardissoGreat To bad I live no were near there. :/

  • @ThomasXp I wasn't suggestiong you trek to UBC, I was suggesting that you check with your local university, I was using UBC as an example of university that is screening it.

  • @RichardissoGreat Oh my bad, Yea Im understand what you mean.

  • @ThomasXp No worries, I hope you find it! It looks like it could be pretty good.

  • Plus Neo and Morpheus are not Marxists. If there is a Marxist in that trilogy it is Smith in Reloaded and Revolutions. Just pay attention to the words he uses "A NEW MAN. Like you apparently free." "We are not here because we are free. We are here because we are NOT FREE." "It is INEVITABLE."

  • As long as private individuals can engage in free exchanges of capital capitalism will always exist. It is only the traditional mechanisms that we use to distribute capital have (traditional banks) have outlived their usefulness. We have a better understanding of human psychology and we have better mechanisms for distributing capital. Look at what Kiva.org has done using online social networks. There we have the new model for wealth distribution, connecting people on a peer-to-peer basis.

  • @RaySquirrel yea, a social networks of beggars, thats the future.

  • @IneptWasSpirit First, they are not beggars, they are entrepreneurs who payback loans with interest. Second, where else do you expect them to get capital? A faceless corporate or state bureaucracy?

  • @RaySquirrel as a bit marxist I expect too much, I expect them to stand up for themselves.

  • @RaySquirrel Are you hypothesizing such a peer-to-peer system is to occur in the future or are you suggesting that such a system be enforced ?

Also what do you mean by capital ? Could you define it for me, to be clear ?

  • capitalism is about individualism, communism was about the health of a society as a whole.... remember the saying? United we stand, divided we fall? Individualism is causing us to differrentiate ourselves from others.... individualism is capitalism and it won't work for long....

  • its just fucked up theres no english subs out for this movie, Im a communist and i can say this to all german and french comrades get internationall, learn english! Wankers.

    //Sweden

  • @his11rjo this is a film produced in Germany for the French/German market - maybe France and Germany and Sweden and the rest of the world should just stop speaking their native languages and adopt English? Apart from arrogant and stupid, your views are culturally imperialist

  • could someone give me a link to this movie, please ?

  • @GEODJO96 ica.org.uk

  • fuck you fucking communists it has been proven through history that it is not your government is dysfunctional

  • @MrDjskeelo yes. capitalism didnt have role to play in the failures of previous communist states??...... and who failed the most? wanna count deaths?

  • @MrDjskeelo

    You are a blind mellon:

Capitalism and Comunism are ways of organizing economic output. But the power of both systems can corrupt good govermernt.

What we are all doing here now is not trying to bring back the past but trying to find a way forward.

There can be no Socialism without a pure and functional democratic system.

There can be no equality and freedom without an end to class and the hoarding of wealth and resources.

    That is the starting point

  • @MrDjskeelo l2 speak first bro, then argue about politics...

  • looks cool. where could I watch this?

  • @KomaTV ica.org.uk

  • @TheRacistsMustDie Did you get a response from medea?

  • @noprofitmaximierung Yeah, I'll send you the message.

  • @TheRacistsMustDie Could you sent me a link?

  • Russian version pls!!!

  • @MrDonneiDarko wrong. Communism is the definition of *nothing*. That's the film's argument

  • Communism is the definition of failure

  • I want to watch the rest of it

  • Englishhhhhh version please!

  • stalin as morpheus lol

  • @thealbanianbastard lol. Trotsky

  • I wish them all to spend at least a couple of days in USSR, where I've spent my childhood. I'm sure they would change their minds

  • @pavelserdyuk you do reakize that the ussr was hammered into the ground mostly by stalin and that most socialists/communists view stalin as a dick. I mean it's pretty clear that at when looking at stalinist policy karl marx would be the first to try to lead a revolution against stalin. Also it is really debateable whether the usssr was really communistic or just state run capitalism. the ussr practiced alot of unmarxist things. socialism in one country is an example along with no liberties.

  • @DrBandrew Oh buddy... at last somebody sane around!!! Sadly, I have to disagree with you in the fact that most of those who call themselves 'communists' see Stalin as a dick. To the point that before the collapse of the Soviet Union, a lot of Communist Parties around the world have turned back to be openly stalinists (my apreciation is that stalinists policies continued before stalin until the crash&burn of the USSR, regardless of Khrushev and his denunciation of the personality cult and bla)

  • @DrBandrew

even to the point that today's communist party of russia, the only "leftist" party tolerated by the 'New Oligarchy', is one of those openly stalinists (This tolerance, I think, speaks by itself...). In their parallel realitiy, they blame Khrushev and the 'revisionists' that followed him, for his denial and denunciation of stalin. Sadly, stalinism provided the capitalism apologists (profesional or not) with the ideal atrocious image to which attach the label 'Communism'.

  • @pavelserdyuk

Try read something written by Trotsky. I guess you already know this, but he was the main critic of stalinism and his policies... and that costed him his life. But he wasn't critic in the simplistic, interested way, that western world was and is. The point that stalinism (and occident was very pleased to have something as atrocious as stalinism to attach the label communism to it) was bad, doesn't make capitalism good.

  • @levogiro Try reading something written by Stalin. I guess you already know this, but He was the main Critic of Trotskyism and his policies..let along Lenin's political Wife.

I <3 when people tell me to read things and that somehow ill have an epistemological break and side with them.

  • @cultofdagon But does being a communist mean you can take what you like and ignore what you don't like from communism? What difference does "love" mean?

  • Any news on Marx Reloaded in English?

  • genius, Better than Booker T Washington. Karl Marx was a serious dood

  • 2:50 Or just one ticket to North Korea or Cuba, the only communist countries left cuz China and Vietnam are more capitalist that USA. You western communists are so cute, you lived in capitalism and democracy saying that communism and all of its leaders (Stalin, Mao, Ho) are good but you are completly blind to the bad things of it: totalitarianism, genocides, deportations, etnocides, gulag slavery, anti-religious massacres, lack of freedom and human rights

  • @siralucard19 Who's saying that Stalin, Mao and Ho are good? Being a communist does not necessarily entail a love of historical figures popularly associated with communism.

  • @cultofdagon

... in fact that is more akin to religious mode of thought ... the very same that socialists and communists want to bury in the past.

  • @cultofdagon

Quite the contrary... not only doesnt necessarily entails it... that personality cult is to deny what is at the backbone of being a socialist!... The workers having the historical task of bringing an end to the regime of the capital's mode of production.

  • @siralucard19 Actually North Korea isn't a communist nation, it's Juche (or at least tries to be), any reference to communism or Marxist-Leninism has been completely removed from the constitution.

  • @siralucard19

Nobody is reivindicating NK or Cuba (being a socialist/communist, I strongly desagree with Cuban policy, in the sense that they are killing the revolution in the same sense that soviet union did, and a lot of that has to do with all the critics you could name about cuba... to a marxist, NK is strangelly hilarious, pathetic and atrocious, all at the same time). What you're criticizing is the ideal evil image communism has... image owed to stalin, mao, etc... all stalinists.

  • @siralucard19

You should study the beggining of russian revolution, and what happened in the 30's with stalin and so on... even if you disagree with what the russian revolution was on its beginings, you have to agree that there was a major turn... one to hell in my opinion, and in all senses, mainly two, and not totally independent... the humanitarian. What is there to say? and the political: the isolation of the revolution and it's declining due to a increasingly fossilizing bureaucracy.

  • @levogiro there was no revolution, even Lenin himself said that it was "the October revolt", 10 years later it was called a revolution. When the Socialist Revolutionaries won the elections with 40% votes while the Bolsheviks got only 24% Lenin didn't listen to the democratic elections and disolvet the constituent assembly, becuase he didn't want to loose and to share power, this caused the Civil war between Red army(bolsheviks) and White army(tsarists, liberals, anti-bolshevik socialists)

  • @siralucard19 Your leaving out the Black Flags, Green flags, Yellow Flags etc etc...there were so many different factions within the Civil war it wasn't even funny.

  • @medeafilmberlin: Any information on when the English version (or an English subtitle) will be released? I'm very interested in this movie as a Leninist Trotskyist, and my level of French comprehension is somewhere between basic and medium, so I can't understand every idea in the French version of the movie and I have to wait for the English version... Any rumors or promises about its release date, or the situation is still the same as 4 months ago?

  • @siralucard19 funny you mention N Korea, I understand the film is going to be shown at DMZ Docs Korea soon

  • Comment removed

  • @siralucard19 True. It is not possible to argue that each individual should sacrifice for the whole of society, and yet expect each individual to know what "society's good" consists of, without having a dictator to tell them.

  • @stri2003 What makes you think the documentary has actually made a profit? Very few do. And if you think that it should be given away for free then the people who made it would have to give their labour for free, they would not be paid, which is exploitation. As for the speakers, Zizek, Antonio Negri, Alberto Toscano and Nina Power are not "reformists", you might read their books before spouting ignorant nonsense

  • I just hope it is not another documentary promoting social democracy. The speakers as far as i know are NOT orthodox marxists but reformists who believe "in capitalism with a human face". By the way the documentary should be free for all to see and not sold as a commodity for profit.

  • @Fleshmob are you a student? If so ask your professors to order it, I heard it's going to be made available to colleges and libraries.

  • Anyone have english subtitles? Pleasssse!

  • I have the movie, but does anyone have english subtitles?

  • a specter is haunting the world...

  • @medeafilmberlin will there be an English screening of the film in Berlin for us "ex-pats"?? There are many of us here

  • still brilliant and still waiting for the English..

  • PLEASE CONTACT ME AS SOON AS YOU HAVE AN ENGLISH VERSION. THANK YOU!

  • Hope it comes with a REASONABLE - FEASIBLE proposal...

  • I want to watch this so badly!

    No subtitles, sadly! :(

  • 2011 - Corruption of the world, unite!!! xD

  • Looks very good. How do I access it? Will there be US screenings soon?

  • An important new contribution...we are indeed in deep shit. The system will not restart. What is the big alternative?

  • can't wait to see it. In english!

  • @streetteamnfc propaganda for what? So I guess you aren't familiar with the concept of television. It's that square thing that pumps out adverts all day

  • i am sorry ... but you can't make these people sound epic.

  • ¿Podremos ver pronto el documental Marx Reloaded en español?

  • Zizek is a jerk. The trouble with Marxism is the same as the trouble with capitalism - people are basically tossers, so instead of social change they end up giving us mass murder.

  • @badnewswade PROPAGANDA

  • @streetteamnfc Yes komrade! The success of the USSR shows us the Kapitalist propaganda for what it is!!!

  • @badnewswade ???

  • @badnewswade Lol so true ... although I would say some influential people are tossers .. those people do not have the same tools of control today ... the internet is a game changer .... obviously they will now be looking for a way to shut it off .. including sending us back to the industrial age with some kind of black swan event

  • Zizek is sich a wise man!

  • "Can I have 2 red pills please?"

    Hell yeah

  • ich kapiers nich so ganz!? macht dieser film werbung für den kommunismus!? WTF!?

  • neoliberalism is just a rubbish

  • @medeafilmberlin I so am look it forward to this film coming new. We have come to the previsioning but we cannot get a word of it. (We went to the porn-graphic place). But can when we see a Engleski version with substitle please ? Dank u

  • We want the English version NOW or else we will all come to the Berlin producers and EXPROPRIATE THEM!!

  • There is so little information about this film's release date, I do not understand what the producers are doing with it.

  • Give us English version faster !

  • @medeafilmberlin WHEN are you going to make the English version?

  • This is going to be hilarious

  • when will there be an english translation of this documentary? we are so excited to watch it here in Manila, Philippines.

  • @cherri84 12th May, Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz in Berlin you can see the full documentary. (Next to Slavoj Žižeks „The Limits of Hegel: Rabble, War, Sex and Marriage” at Roter Salon)

  • @medeafilmberlin seems like this page is stuck and not registering any new hits. Odd

  • is there no french version? or french subtitles?

  • @andrecarvalho87 the documentary was broadcasted in French and German and an English version is coming (soon).

  • @medeafilmberlin How is the english version coming along?

  • @medeafilmberlin Is there a mailing list for where & when the film is shown? If not in which ways can you pay? @MrDonnelDarko Fallout 3 right?

  • Comment removed

  • Some of the shots are from Zagreb hahah, I can't belive. I recognized some people. Can't wait this to be translated into the imperialistc language that we all understand

  • @Mytrash69 no, sorry!

  • Fuck Trotsky.

  • @marcelthemaoist What? It should have been Mao instead?

  • Finally saw the film on arte tv and LOVED it!! This is the standard for films about Marx: informed, contemporary and relevant

  • oh, dear. Why doesn't siralucard19 et al take their pathetic morality fables to another forum? This thread had evolved into a really intelligent discussion until the familiar bunch of number crunchers turned up. "Communism killed 10 times more than Hitler so that makes it 10 times worse" etc. Jesus what a crock of shit. What the fuck has the Maoist "Genocide" got to do with the theory of surplus value? Go and talk shit on another forum can't you?

  • @jemmaleeds1 Hmm.. i agree. I'm not an expert in philosophy, but common sense should prevail when discussing Marx. I'm not a philosophy boffin but it seems Marx's greatest intellectual contribution was not to philosophy, but to economics. And to politics I suppose.

  • @jemmaleeds1 The US fought against dictators and communism as well in other wars like the Vietnam war, although they obviously committed war crimes, without no doubt.

As well it is very interesting that you never heard NO OUTCRY whatsover when communist countries

    - occupied and/or started war with other countries

    - implemented a terror-based system in ALL communist countries

    - sent tanks whenever people stood up for FREEDOM in communist countries

Where was the outcry of the left there??

  • enin:under capitalismwe have the state in the proper sense of the word, that is, a specialmachine for the suppression of one class byanother, and, what is more,of the majority bythe minority.Naturally,to be successful, such an undertaking as the systematicsuppression ofthe exploited majority by the exploiting minority calls for the utmost ferocity and savagery in the matter of suppressing, it calls for seas of blood, through whichmankind is actually wading its way in slavery, serfdom and wage labor

  • Please provide an English translation of the documentary.

  • @Cindy091896 we are working on an english version. we will all inform you when it's finished!

  • @medeafilmberlin

    Can't wait.

  • @medeafilmberlin I don't get it. This sample is either spoken in English or with English subtitles. So this is not an excerpt from the French or German version but basically a trailer for the upcoming English version?

  • @medeafilmberlin EDIT: oh yes. The German and French version were fully dubbed in respective languages. So this means that by English version you mean English-dubbed version. Personally I prefer original sound everywhere + subs but TV in my country also makes Czech dubbing for nearly everything.

  • @medeafilmberlin is there an English premiere planned soon? My friends and I want to know if the film is going to have an English version with subtitles, since the dubbed versions are not so great

  • @wheeljack69 not always rich and greedy people. Just some people glad to find the ennemy that some others want to create for them.

  • How capitalism has conquered the world is 10 times more violent than was the desperate & terrible resistance of the USSR. But now we must simply be aware of these realities and find peaceful means for a more sustainable, more democratic world.

  • @Greenbat85 Dream on, sucker. People are scum, get used to it!

  • @badnewswade haha the eternal "change yourself before changing the world" YES! Well I just noticed people slowly evolved, but EVOLVED !! Most important thing is surely to build memories so we can't make the same failures each time (and every memories! Not communism memory only !!). I guess at least we could not get this stupid crisis in 2008 if we thought so ... And I wanted to say something too: people aren't scum, they rather become this way (genetical theory is a nazi theory !!).

  • @Greenbat85 Oh yeah? Then how come the sure fire way that all politicians use to give themselves a boost in the polls is to have a go at the poor, the sick, the disabled and the generally vulnerable in society? People are fucking evil, man. Remember that the Nazis were voted in democratically!

  • yes he was elected for some reasons (killing of red german revolution tried in 1919, economic crisis spread from USA in 30's, and because we condemned german economy after WW1 as we are doing in Greece now). It's an economic system that has to be changed. But I do not believe in radical violent changes. I noticed that the most durable changes are when it come by reforms and collective decisions (away from ideologies). In pratice neither communism or capitalism gave democracy but fragments of it

  • Now it's true people can be idiots (a lot of people) but isn't also the fault of intelligent people?Needs just more education at the begining.Once again, this economic system teaches consumtion's duty, not really political consciousness. I know there're a lot of corruption in this world so we have to think about what can be sell or not (can people's health be sold? can water be etc...) And then we have to get back the speak to make understand that we can't sell or build life.

  • @Greenbat85 I mean BUY not build (sorry) ;)

  • @Greenbat85 I agree with that, and there are places that contradict my bleak assessment. But even the most enlightened Scandiwegian socialist paradises aren't afraid to pull the race card when things get tough - and the Left don't impress me much on that score either.

It is a terrible thing to give up, but I have given up on humanity as a Cause. I hope other people don't, because then we're fucked, but I myself lack the energy to fight for such resentful, mean-spirited, miserable creatures.

  • @badnewswade yes I understand.Pessimism is normal in such histories.I guess it's even one begining for change because it would be strange to feel well in every chaotic news;) The must is probably to not be completely parano and not too much naive. Kind of balance I look for.Balance looks for me as a better vision that perfection. So I try to show how the first liberals spoke about richs (actually some of them would be called stalinists :xd) and how true republicans should unite (left or right)

  • great film, a lot more subtle than 90% of the comments here

  • After Marx, Marx Reloaded... The third installment is obvious >.>

  • ah I wanna see thisss lol

  • "Marxist thinking" is what Marx wrote, unless you hold seances where his ghost dictates to you what really went through his mind. I've read lots of what Marx wrote and found it appalling, both on a theoretical level and in its practical implications. I think it has had a baleful influence not only on the course of history but on scholarship as well. Why do his idiot apologists always immediately leap to unfounded assumptions and obscurantism?

  • Marxism is dead and will remain dead. People saw the cost of communism: 70 years of autocracy, equality but also tyrany and 100.000.000 million people dead and after that it felled and capitalism camed back again and teh remaining communist countries becamed capitalist. If Marx knew what will his pholosophy do to the world he woulded burned all of his work and hang himself saying: Long live the people, ling live capitalism, long live God.

  • @siralucard19 100 million? The only way you can get this number is by blaming communism for the deaths suffered during the world wars, where they were invaded. Also, have you tried running the numbers of deaths caused by capitalism? It's not pretty. Even a small country like Belgium murdered over 10 millions in the name of capitalism.

  • @GoldRainGirl finally someone who knows to answer the idiotic "communism killed 100 million people" argument. thinking of the fact that 100.000 people die right now everyday because of hunger - in a capitalistic world it is an affront to accuse socialism of being brutal!

  • @GoldRainGirl 15 million to be exact, so that proves my point. If a small country like that killed that much in just 23 imagine what happened in USSR, China, Cambodia and Eastern Europe during 40 - 70 years of communism. Plus Colonial Imperialism killed it 100 million to but in 500 years not 80!!!

  • @GoldRainGirl World War II (1939 – 1945) 62.500.000 – 79.298.000

    Maoist Genocide (1949 – 1976) 50.000.000 – 75.000.000

    European Colonization in Africa and Asia (1758 – 1970) 50.000.000 – 60.000.000

    Nazi Genocide (1933 – 1945) 45.000.000

    Great Chinease Famine (1958 – 1961) 34.000.000 – 46.000.000

    Soviet Genocide (1917 – 1985) 30.000.000 – 60.000.000

    Stalinist Genocide (1928 – 1953) 20.000.000 – 40.000.000

    Holodomor (1932 – 1933) 10.000.000

    War Communism (1917 – 1924) 10.000.000

  • @siralucard19 War communism? Shared blame with the whites. Hell, the whites were killing russian jews for sport in Byelorussia. No serious academic uses the 10 million figure for the 1932 famine. The soviet era dead can only be that high if you blame the Soviet Union for the people Hitler massacred.

  • @GoldRainGirl Djugasvili already finished his Holocaust when Hitler camed to power in 1933. DUring the '30 Djugasvili was a bloodier tyrant then Hitler, millions died, Hitlers true murders and genocides happend only during the second world war

  • @siralucard19

Cool numbers, bro! Come back when you have some data on if Communism fails or not.

  • @alienisuntverus Why don't you try to visit USSR or Yugoslavia? Oh because their communist regimes had fallen :P Anymore Soviet republics and Iron Curtain Countires? NO! So, did communism failed or not?

  • @siralucard19

The USSR fell because they lost a war. Not because communism was a faulty system.

  • @alienisuntverus What war? The war with the people? It had failed, the people didn't want it anymore, if it was not a faulty system then why people under it hate it and their capitalist neighbours have to problem, infact they had enough and plenty? Communism was a joke and was screwed by Kremlin: Djugasvili made it tyranical, Krushcev made it softer, Brejnev toughed it again then Gorbachev made it softer again and each time it was changin so did the eurostates had to change to

  • Try socialism, but it has lost its true meaning and its put in the same pot with the autocratic communist system

  • @alienisuntverus You're from USA you don't know a thing about communism and living under it. You never had communism
