This was one of those songs I would wait and hope to hear on the radio, and then I'd be transfixed whenever it came on. What a voice...I still get a head-to-toe chill when she goes for that high head-voice note at the end.

a K tel records memory. I loved the 80's, such much music but all different styles. and radio was at it's peak. Hot Hits, lots of reverb. The DJ's all sounded like they were in a big tank somewhere. at least I believed that back then..

You're right, brenaeanerb, the '80s were a bloody great period, especially if you like women with great, gutsy voices such as Martha Davis, who I've adored since I was in my 20s, But also think, for starters, about Chrissie Hynde, Johnette Napolitano, Pat Benatar, Annie Lennox ...
