Maybe many UFOs are from here and have always been here. With how self-absorbed all of us are, it's not far-fetched to think that maybe there is a much wider world even in our immediate surroundings that we haven't become fully aware of yet. If so, it could be because we are so often dismissing strange things as absolute non-sense, military, or from outer space. Why not from part of our world?
