  • Thanks for low carb snaks.

  • @sweet161402 No problem, I am glad to share. Easy low carb were one of the tings my daughter wanted to know when she first started, and I knew she wasn't alone.

  • what does (IF) stand for? Sorry if it's silly question but I'm not sure

  • @frankiebrain From the video description (click Show More), (IF = Induction Friendly)

  • I made the micro ones yesterday and they were amazing! I used cheddar cheese and they came out like the ones in your vid. I put a couple back in for an extra minute and they came out completely "crackerized" (I just invented a new word...lol). Anyhow, they were exactly like chips and tasted amazing. I also made one on the stove top and then added toppings and placed under the broiler for a couple of minutes. Excellent!! Love your recipes...keep up the good work!

  • @nbkcq28 Thanks for your kind words. I am glad you liked them. This was one of the dead simple recipes that got me through the early months of being on Atkins.

  • Great idea!!

  • @swolepenguin Thanks for your comments and for watching!

  • for some strange reason everytime I cook things with cheese espeacialy if I cook a pizza in the oven my smoke alarm goes off but it happens alot when I bake a pizza im afraid if I cook cheese on the stove top it will some how set the smoke decter off,,the pizza in the oven when I open the door theres NO SMOKE,,but it still sets off the smoke decter,,,I dont know why,,,there is no smoke decter in the kitchen where the oven is,,I guess smoke decters are extra senstive

  • okay so i made more i can't stop

  • @AnjiDeeB It's like Lay's - you can't eat just one? :-)

  • just made these, sooo good. kinda scared me when they started to brown so i pulled first batch out. eh so i tried again and let them brown to perfection. omg taste and testure reminds me of a cheese cracker. thanks

  • thats giving me the munchies

  • nice thing...............

  • i did this with provolone cheese on my stove and it tasted SOOO good. it tasted like cheezits but SO much better. thanks (:

  • These are so good.I made, and love, the microwave version.I used to bake them in the oven. The microwave works so much better. It also is a quick clean up.Thanks!

  • @Terrymora I make these all the time. I prefer the stove top method, but the microwave one is definitely easiest to make. Thanks for watching!

  • Will this work with any cheese? Feta?

  • @darcy031685 Most cheeses it will work with like cheddar and swiss. Some cheeses like bleu cheese would not melt appropriately.

  • Haha. That looks SO taastyyyyy! There was this time before I switched my eating habits...and I had this insatiable craving for all things fat. Obviously I wasn't getting enough fat. (No, I wasn't dieting or anything, b/c I don't diet). Anyways, now that I've switched the way I eat (for digestive reasons) I now know why I was so craving fats. lol. hehe. People gasped at the fact I was able to eat a package of bacon...well that's easy to explain now. Haha. :P

  • Cheese taco shells?!?!?!?!?! That's awesome!

  • @PoshPatootie I make taco's too out of the same method. That is a good tip about the enchiladas. It does sound tasty.

  • thank you for all your delicious recipes. but you never say how many carbs are in each recipe. if you could add that next time that would be awsome.and if you mention on all recipes if they are safe for induction faze. thank you. keep up the good work

  • @campfireangle At the end of each recipe AND in the video desciption, I post the carbs. You may have to expand the video description to see all ingredients and the nutrition info. For example this one has:

    "Nutrition Info: (2 crisps)

    171 Calories, 11g Fat, 2g Carbs, 15g Protein"

    in the video description.

For Induction Friendly recipes, all you have to do is look at the title. If it has (IF) in title, it is Induction Friendly. That is explained in the video description as well.

  • How long do you let it cook?

  • @atlmycity2 Roughly 2-3 minutes...

  • wow..we are going to try this. thank you for these vids..they are a huge help!

  • would a silicone pan work instead of the paper if you don't have the paper?

  • @yeshualovesu2 I think so, but I honestly have yet to buy any silicone pans yet.

  • would a silicone pan work?

  • Thaaaaaaaaanks heaps!!!!!!!!!

  • @strawberrylaralara No problem!

  • @strawberrylaralara Hey I tried this out and my veggies were yummy!

  • I made this so often, it is very good. My favourite is Leerdammer cheese with chili and thyme.

  • @HelenaVenom I have to admit I am pretty tame with my cheese choices. Occassionally, I'll try some locally produced gourmet goat and cow cheeses, but most of the time my cheeses are pretty standard cheeses from Kraft or Schullsberg. I'll have to try Chili and Thyme some time.

  • @bowulf Maybe Leerdammer cheese is not a standard cheese in the US, but in my country it is. ;) Have a nice sunday.

  • @HelenaVenom Very true... I hope you have a great Sunday too.

  • I have been on a shake diet here in australia which is low carb and low calorie etc, but limits fat and protein more than atkins. Just looking at a lot of your recipes they are very high fat, ie double cream, lots of cheese, lots of butter... doesn't fat always turn into fat in the body? Didn't the old atkins diet get a bad reputation for too much fat?

  • @justnatural Why would equate dietary fat to equal body fat? Does dietary carbs equal body carbs? The fact is the body breaks down the fat into its components essential fatty acids, which are thereby used in the body for essential functions and energy. In the absence of insulin, they even CAN'T be converted to body fat as the metabolic pathway is gone.

As for the bad rep, bad science and misconceptions abounds. Atkins actually improves heart risk factors. Check out my misconception series.

  • @bowulf Well I tried the Dukan diet for a while (very popular diet in europe) and in his book he says to try avoid fatty meats etc because fat can only turn into fat in the body?? As fo the bad rap etc, I had thought that their was a new Atkins diet bought out allowing more foods due to concern about saturated fats in over consumption of things like bacon, eggs, cream etc, Am i incorrect in this?

  • @justnatural Sorry then Dukan is wrong. Fat turns into energy every day in my body.

The new Atkins Diet book v2010 has the same basic rules for Induction that it always had with exception of changing in how it measured vegetables. Now it measures by their carb intake rather than a volume measurement. The amount of carbs and fat Calories are the same.

It also features many scientific studies proving sat fats are not dangerous, so in actuality it is promoting them in the absence of sugar.

  • @justnatural Check out my high fat vs. high protein video for a longer explanation why this is. For those just starting the Diet, the ideal percentages of Fat Calories to Protein to Carbs is 65-30-5.

  • simple and yummy too thanks

  • @loribelt24 I agree and such an easy nacho chip or taco shell replacement.

  • sorry accidentally deleted my comment!

  • @MsNC815 No problem...

  • Comment removed

  • @MsNC815 That is one way to lose weight. :-) Usually in my kitchen, the cook (myself) gets serves himself first - like the royal taste tester. However, the person who decides if a recipe is "video worthy" is my wife.

  • Looking handsome there!

  • @Jackitreborn Actually I think my hair is getting way too long. Even with a wife as a hair stylist, finding time to get trimmed is hard. I appreciate the sentiment. :-)
