Who cares if we use the stupid metric system or not? I think it's cool that we have our own system. It's like knowing a language that nobody else can speak, and most of us know the metric system anyway, but we use ours at home. I totally disagree with Atom, but the song is cool though :)

obviously you dont understand the advantages of it and are just use to a system that uses random numbers and overcomplicates things. tell me how many feet, or inches, are in a mile without looking it up. metric system you can easily calculate something like that quickly without looking it up.

Alot of countries have things that are exclusive to them and even though they aren't the standard for the world they keep them intact to preserve their culture, it gives us a special thing. I like that, because here in the USA we don't have many things that we can call our own cuz we export all of our culture.

I don't think measurements are about culture. Because culture is about music, cinema, literature and other kinds of art. When you measure something, it's about science, technology and things like that. Not about art.

the SI system encompasses metric, Talenya, you don't know what you're talking about. It also encompasses voltage, amps, etc.
