  • Hmmm.... this goes to show how misinformed mainstream nutritionists and dietitians are...

  • yes, you don't need to only eat fruit in the morning....but its really good for you to do so. It helps with digestion, fresh raw fruit is very water rich and therefore hydrating. and the reason for eating fruit alone is because fruit on its own digests very well and quickly and gives alot of energy, but when fruit it mixed with fat or protein, digestion is slowed and the fruit starts to ferment in your stomach which can make you feel sick or tired.

  • Yeah use caution if you use this book like she says. You might actually live a long, healthy, happy life. Oh yeah, a vegan diet makes a political, environmental, and compassionate statement. A vegan diet IS for everyone. *Whoosh - the sound of the whole point of the book going over her head. Jeez.

  • This woman is so ignorant. She stated that the author was a former model, in a way to make the author sound dumb. How come she didn't state that Kim got her masters in Science? Secondly, the book isn't so much about losing weight, its about being HEALTHY and as a result losing weight. Meat isn't the same, it's full of chemicals now. The book doesn't say eat only fruit in the morning, it says to start off with fruit and then eat after 30 minutes. Trust me I could go on.

  • I just wanted to hear her say bitch

  • ummm this girls not dumb.

eating all the food groups is something everyone needs to do.

you people saying blah blah blah I'll only eat fruits and avoid cards is dumb.

that's a myth. carbs is actually good for you of course in moderation.

it gives you energy and is in fact the second biggest food group you should be eating.

    moderation is key!

she tells the truth from what the book says there is no variety which the body needs to get vitamins and minerals and to be healthy! :)

  • @MrsZefron778 carbs dont give you energy calories do. What do you think a calorie is? it is how much energy a food has. If carbs were so important then why since this fad has started america has gotten fatter. Keep in mind the same people that promote this eating also say that froot loops and pop tarts are good for you too. With a low carb high fat diet you eat until you are full and lose weight, while eating delicious food like eggs, bacon, sausage, steak, chicken, fish, shrimp and dairies.pwnd

  • @XtraZMezmerize ARE YOU RETARDED?

calories don;t give you energy.. calories is a MEASURE of energy like a unit!

it is the amount of heat released when a food is burned.

SO you need carbs cause for one it's what the body uses first in order to have energy yes protein gives you a bit of energy but not as efficient as carbs they are complex and take longer for the body to break down. when your body needs energy it looks for carbs first because of how efficient they are ! it also protects your

  • @XtraZMezmerize muscles dummy. of course too much carbs is bad for you but so is too much ANYTHING. carbs is also in your vegan diet cause veggies have carbs in them. ALSO amaerica's just fat cause we eat too much it has nothing to do with carbs mostly it has to do with calories over how much you should be having a day and MODERATION if you dont have moderation in your food anythings bad! even fruits and veggies! ALSO you know your suppose to only be eating two servings of meat a day? what you

  • @XtraZMezmerize sorry on being so mean lmfao. got alittle carried away.

  • @MrsZefron778 it otay :) i just wnted you to know the truth not the lies that the fda wants us to think is right

  • They don't demand you eat nothing but fruit for breakfast, and nothing but veggies for lunch. They say to try it and if it's not for you, then it's not. You'd think a nutritionist wouldn't be so judgemental of a vegan diet. You should be proud there's a book out there that is trying to get everyone off of bad carbs, and white sugar, and dairy and meat and cigarettes and alcohol.

  • 1:30 WHY the fucking hell she says its good to eat all kinds of food during the whole day? i don´t think ill run out of proteins or fat at midday if i just eat fruits and vegs or something else! i guess i´d do very well if i eat four or five days a week fruits only!

(2 weeks with fruits only and i felt better than ever, than my father came home from travelling and startet cooking that smelled too good, so my stomach urged me to eat that crap :( I need some time for my self again)

  • dear god, watch out for the language! Yeah right, irrelevant

This lady is full of crap

  • lol youre an idiot. do you know how the human body works?

you must have won that doctors suit in a raffle, go learn then make a youtube video. you reckon your so good, youve only had not even 7000 views over nearly 2 years. conclusive evidence youre a troll and you should get back under your bridge

  • It's not militant at all, look at what is going on with the world. If people can't take action for themselves, this is the perfect book to wake them right up.

  • its not just meat its white flour surgar and simple carbs.

  • you are so wrong!!! sure some one paid you for this!! stupid woman!!!

  • Did the dairy industry pay you to say that Christine?

  • This women is so full of crap! This book is wondeful, it opened my eyes to what the meat and dairy and egg industry were really doing, i had no idea! And btw, everyone can be vegan if they really want to, her "you don't have to stop eating those foods to be healthy" and a big huge LIE, how can you consume food full of crap that the companies "create" to look like food but its actually imitation food like substance will not make you healthy, its just about not wanting you to feel uncomfortable

  • wow, christine! i'm glad you warned us about all of the filthy words in the book. it's nice to know that the mistreatment of farm animals doesn't bother you, yet foul language does.

  • Comment removed

  • i dont know where this lady got the idea that they were being "militant" or the authors saying u should restrict ur morning diet to only fruits......and i honestly dont even believe she read the whole book.

  • @ChicGenique agree with you there! They don't just eat fruit for breakfast, they had oatmeal, bagels, tofu scrabbed egg..She so did not read it! And it not just for weighloss,it's to be healthy! I agree with you!

  • @navygf86 thank you hun....as long as somebody does ^_^

  • @ChicGenique

defo love,it's about health and eatting for your body so it works right! so whereever you go,you'll always have a someone who will agree with you!

  • @ChicGenique yep remember you will always find someone who will agree!

  • some of my girlfriends lost weight reading this book, I am skeptical for me cause I am not that great with willpower. Militant scares me. but I really want to try going vegan.

  • Yeah I can't just eat fruit in the morning and vegetables in the afternoon, but overall thanks to the book I have been eating a lot healthier and although it's hard to completely avoid animal products since my family eats and drinks animal products, I try my best to avoid it (more for the sake of the animals than my waist line). They have the right idea I think, I just wouldn't follow it 100%

  • Who sponsors this woman? the meat industry?

  • actioly you're right but diary food is unhealthy and a vegan diet is healthier (if you know what to eat), i used to be fat now im skinny and healthy, meat eaters promote meat intake with books and diets (atkins 4 exmpl), and there are no critics...so please (WTH) let them do their stuff .____.

  • I don't agree. I think they were trying to use humor to make people pay attention to get people to listen to a very serious topic that most people won't stomach. Watch their videos. They actually are more about animals than weight.

  • i agree with you if you're talking about organic meat. grass-fed is awesome.

  • dear jmknap - I'm so sorry to hear that you had such a bad time. Honestly, I loved this book, and have lived by it for a long time. It is fairly hardcore though, and as making any big change in your life will bring up all your emotional junk, I wonder if this was just too much for you - the book would never advocate bulimia!! I hope you have found something that works for you now, just like this worked with me and makes me feel great.

  • well they dont say in the book you only have to eat fruit for breakfast/ they said you can eat other things as well there also is a 7 or 14 day plan and breakfast includes other things than fruit !! So this woman is simply bul********g !

  • I do agree with you to a certain extent but there are certain ways of eating that make it very, very difficult to gain weight and very easy to lose weight. For instance, if you eat a diet that is made up of mostly raw fruits and vegetables with some raw nuts, seeds, and plant oils, you're definitely going to lose weight. It's not necessarily easy all of the time, but I once lost 10 lbs in one week just by eating raw vegan food. I NEVER felt like I was starving either.

  • I started eating healthy food over a month ago and I think it was one of the best decisions of my life, I feel great, I have more energy, I have lost weight. I look for easy to make vegetarian recipes on the internet and they taste a lot better than I thought they would. I encourage everybody to try eating healthier food and see for themselves what is so great about a vegan or vegetarian diet.

  • how can this diet not be for everyone? we are all humans and we have the same needs nutritionally...eating meat and dairy is unhealthy PERIOD

  • @viveleraw okay that's dumb your body needs certain fats in meat to help it function. :\

i agree with you on dairy it's not a necessity but it gives you vitamins and nutrients

  • As for the fruit, they advise that you eat fruit is best eaten in the morning and that it is best eaten alone as it ferments in the stomach if it is eaten with other things.

They advise waiting half an hour before eating anything else, which gives the fruit time to move through your digestive system.

  • The book is quite decepetive. It has less to do with losing weight and is more about following a healthy diet.

However, that doesn't mean it isn't very informative. I tried a vegetarian diet after reading this and found that I really did feel healthier. I had more energy, my skin and hair was healthier and I lost weight.

I'm going to ease into a vegan diet. If I don't feel healthy then I will stop it. Basically, people should try it for themselves and form their own opinions.

  • I really loved the book, and I feel much healthier now! I used to eat healthily before, but when I cut down on dairy I felt so much better! I love this.

  • you said that your skin and hair was healthier, im not sure if this was related but i think around the same time my friend went vegeterean, she got a lot of acne. now she was a teen so maybe its understandeable but what made me think there was a connection was that my teacher had said something about them being linked. do u kno anything about this?

  • Hmm. I'm wondering if your friend also upped her water intake as I've heard that can cause breakouts, and I'm not sure if the same rules apply with regards to diets, but I've heard that it can be the body's way of flushing out all the toxins and bad stuff. It generally settles down within the month (usually taking about two weeks).

I suffered small breakouts within that time period but I became a vegetarian into my twenties so I don't know how it works according to age.

  • They do not only advocate that. They have a whole cookbook out as well. When I read salad, I am intelligent enough to make mine with protein rich foods like Kale and tempeh. Our trouble out west is we get too much animal protein. This makes our blood very acidic causing calcium to be sucked out of our bones.

  • I just want to point out that in the book it says to eat fruit first thing in the morning, wait a half an hour then eat a meal. The fruit is only an appetizer to breakfast.

  • Humans are addicted to sugars and fats since it was not guaranteed when we would be able to find our next meal, our body rewarded us with these mechinisms though evolution so we could live. It's a bit of a problem when it's available as it is now though.

  • As I have said on other videos, beware of sugar addition. I certainly would be very wary of having a fruit only meal. You will find it will give you a "sugar high" some 45 minutes later followed by the inevitable dump. Then your body responds by demanding more high sugar food, fruit with VEGANS. This becomes a vicious cycle and is called "sugar addition".

    Hope helps.

  • I'm impressed, Christine Market actually read the book. :)

  • I think her review is very balanced and informed. You may not agree with her but I think she is being fair and honest in her review.

  • dumb bitch. you're giving us texans a bad rep.

  • I am going to be about the 12th person to say this. She doesn't seem like she read the book! Haha.

I think they promoted fruits, vegetables, grains, legumes, beans, nuts, seeds, etc and explained in great detail why processed foods are making us sick and overweight. Fruit in the morning was mostly a strong suggestion; if you read Fit for Life, you'll see they aren't the only ones suggesting it.

And for anyone saying they aren't credible, one of the authors has a degree in holistic nutrition!

  • hahaha this lady definitely didn't read the book

i don't understand how more nutritionists and dieticians aren't hardcore pro-vegan... I'm going to be one of the few

  • Who cares about profanity. Skinny bitch is an amazing book. It's not just about losing weight. If you really want to change your life, you'll do what this book says.

  • She made it sound like it was a violent horror movie haha. And you're right, it's not about losing weight! That bothered me.

  • she hasnt read the book!!!!

it stresses the importance of having enough calories.

And the menu sample at the back doesnt just say "fruit for breakfast".

  • Skinny Bitch is great and it's not a diet it's a way of life.

  • i agree

  • dude you totaly did not read the book!

  • you didn't read the book for sure!

you probably just heard about it and made this video.

by the way, that's a lot of research involved on the development of the book.

i don't like you, at all.

  • You didn't read the book!

  • You didn't read the book very well. They talk about learning to eat when you're hungry and pay attention - stopping when you're full. You're not going to get obese eating the foods they talk about when you're hungry and stopping when you're full.

I would hope that people who are turned off by profanity wouldn't buy a book with a curse word IN THE TITLE.

  • It is a great way to eat...do your homework.

  • You clearly didn't READ the book.....

  • Actually, there isnt. Just ask me =)
