I already expected this will happen when the Galaxy S was launched a year ago but there was no lawsuit coming from Apple afterwards and i came into conclusion that maybe because Samsung is providing Apple the A4 chips for their products and Apple really doesnt care about that (Apple is one of the company with the biggest number of lawsuit of Pattern). And now they are issuing the lawsuit after the launch of Galaxy S II and Galaxy Tab 10.1 out of of sudden.WHY?

It is not just about design copycats, Samsung has been targeting the exact same market as Apple does. Series 9 of their netbooks? That's purposely made for head to head with Macbook Air. They also have Galaxy S music player, targeting ipod touch market. Samsung has been doing their business on the same direction as Apple, and they are going to continue doing that, whether you like it or not. They were copying Sony, now they are copying Apple, and who knows who else in the future.

Apple designed the A4 and A5, samsung is simply the manufacturer. While a severing of relations with Samsung would hurt Apple, it wouldn't be crippling. And simply helping Apple doesn't allow them to walk over patents (not saying they did, but the point is the same).

@Moutassim Samsung was contract bound to design for Apple but cannot use it for their own since Apple patent it. Also, The deal with Apple is a HUGE CASH COW for Samsung. Many other competitor are just lining up to milk Apple. They could cut the deal but that'll be economically stupid.
