Sounds like a typical 90-2000s version with the grunge and angry screaming, the mellow part sounds dead and without melody, but nevertheless I give them much credit, they did a great job. It takes courage and stamina to even make an attempt at this peice and they carried the tune on to a new generation.

The key is the minimalist approach taken by musicians who blended extremely well together and created the sense of mystery. THAT was the key. These guys MASSACRE true art. Robby did the same volume of drugs as Jim and it shows in his judgement performing like this.

Jim was the poetic, soulful inspiration of the doors. Therefore what the Doors were that we all love so much died with him.

The only way they could of paid homage to the original formula was to chill the build up where it seemed that even Robby was annoyed. The song sounds "heavier" when the space and dynamics are in check. But thats not possible if the rest of the band is overkilling that sense of space, that the original song had.

Great rendition although woodstock 99 had nothing on the original Woodstock. You can tell that just by watching the crowd. the end of the 90's was nothing to celebrate. but what happened in the late 60's carried on throughout most of the 70's then everything went to hell after that.

But I don't even think the original doors played woodstock in 69. Most of the bands that we look back on that you would expect to see at woodstock werrent even there.
