YES, I did in Seattle (well, actually Tacoma)! It was one of their best tours. I was obsessed with them since Pyromania. They were at their peak...I actually got to meet Phil and Joe afterwards at the bar in their hotel. Nice guys to their fans, especially Phil and Rick A. Unfortunately at that time, Steve was looking pretty unhealthy. Those guys kicked ass back then!!! I miss the "young" Def Leppard. I suppose I am getting old too though! ha ha!
WOW...From the front row to the rafters, I don't think there's a single person sitting down. Listen to that... Magic? History in the making? Sheer brilliance?
I think that is pretty cool of Viv. I don't think he gets enough credit. I loved him in Whitesnake and I think he is a great guitarist. Not to mention he is adorable. Phil is an awesome guitar player.
Phil plays his and Pete's parts and Viv plays Steve's parts because Viv has stated that out of respect for Steve and the fact that the riffs and solos are so perfect already from Steve that he plays them note for note, where as he may take some liberties on stuff he did!
Phil does Phil and Viv plays Steve because Viv has stated that out of respect for Steve and the fact that the riffs and solos are so perfect already from Steve that he plays them note for note, where as he may take some liberties on stuff he did!
DEF LEPPARD wouldn't be the same without the death of Steve they wouldn't have everybody saying things like "what integrity those guys have for still soldering on through the loss of the Thunder God's lost arm and Steve's death
but they would be much better because they wouldn't have Viv.
Ok now question when Steve died did Phil take his spot and make Viv play his old parts or did Viv just take Steve's parts?
i had thought that phil took steve's parts and viv took phil's parts. But I never really thought long and hard about it... Good question. I've noticed on a few songs that I've seen on here live that phil is playing steve's parts. But in other spots viv is playing steve's parts.. So, i guess it depends.
the crowds aren't so into the music and the bands anymore. The WHOLE arena isn't on its feet, well unless you go to a Lep concert in the motorcity! D-troit City!!
Joe is not a great singer, but god damn he's one of the best rock frontmen in the biz. Not many guys can get a crowd going like that, and he can still do it.
Def Leppard is the best band ever. They may not be quite the same without Steve but their still going and I wish them the best of luck in everything. Their awesome
This looks to me like THE ACTUAL gig covered on their In The Round video

Did Viv take Steve's parts or Did Phil take Steve's and Viv plays Phil's old parts?

You know what, that's a really good question, I never thought of it that way because it most certainly seems like it now... does anybody know???

As far as I know, Phil is doing the Phil (and Pete?) bits, and Viv is doing the Viv/Steve stuff.
