  • Hamurabi dating is a fake. It is post Moses. The difference with the Hebrew is the distinct lack of head bashing dieties battling for supremity - which is the antithesis of the Hebrew.

    DON'T BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU BELIEVE.

  • @ELVISCHALLENGE Thanks for noting this. I'll look into recent articles to verify the dating. If true, that seems to be another blow to Torah "borrowing" theories. Peace be with you.

  • Wonderful video! Good job!

  • MavericK,

    Thank You.

    Peace to you!

  • every think about this video is good ,I like it .. but don't forget that Abraham came from the greatest nation and city Babylon & Assyrian ..which his sons will be Assyrian & Babylonian not Jew/Israeli ...

  • romeoume,

Thanks for your comment. Some would also say that Abraham is the Father of not only the circumcision but also the uncircumcision.

    Peace.

  • ...

The result of God hardening pharaoh's heart? God killed an innocent newborn. VERY humane! Because God had Moses relay his message to pharaoh for him tells me that the God of the Bible is a coward.

Then after instructing Moses to do his dirty work for him, he seems to threaten to kill Moses because his son wasn't circumcised. Which begs the question if God hates foreskins so much, why did he create penises complete with them attached?

So, can to tell me how this passage is humane?

  • mlr2112,

You are free to continue in your incorrect interpretations, but if and when you are interested in more scholarly and acurrate teaching regarding Torah, then you will find your answers by studing those Jewish Sages who have discussed these passages over and over again.

Anyone who is quick to call the Lord a coward is obviously not interested in serious conversation.

    You think God is inhumane.

Trust me, God is more merciful than you or I could understand.

  • So, let me ask you a question. Where did the Ark of the Covenant come from?

  • According to Torah, The Lord gave Moses the directions on how to build the Ark of the Covenant.

  • I posted an argument earlier, but I don't think it posted. So, I will repost.

There is no incorrect interpretation here. God hardened pharaoh's heart because he wanted to kill his firstborn son, as a matter of fact, an entire nation's firstborns, to quench his blood thirst. Also, the Jewish sages you speak of lifted if not all, then a significant portion of their culture from the Egyptians.

  • mlr2112,

Here is a site with good Jewish teaching on the topic of Pharoah's heart:

    h t t p : / / w w w . aish . c o m / torahportion /moray / Pharaohs_Heart. a s p

Study this and you will see that your interpretation is wrong.

    Peace.

  • Again, which pharaoh are we talking about here? And why would God punish an the newborns and parents of an entire nation because of one person?

  • I'll let you study that website above. Your questions are answered on that site.

Regarding the video, the Lord gave the Torah to Moses. That is the answer.

I'm pretty tolerant of going off topic but I'm going to have to remind you to stay on the topic of this video.

  • Explain to me how th following from Exodus is humane:

In Exodus 4:21 - 4:26, God tells Moses to tell pharaoh (it would nice if to know which pharaoh!), that he's going to kill his firstborn if he doesn't let Moses and the Israelites go. But God is going to harden Pharoah's heart, anyway, so it doesn't matter whether or not he'd let Moses go or not.

Very nice, guy that Yahweh is! It sounds to me that he is the type that loves to rip the wings off of butterflies and watch them suffer....

  • mlr2112,

You obviously have no knowledge of the Lord of the Torah, or you would realize that your interpretation is incorrect, or should I say, the interpretation which others have told you. An old argruement which makes me *snore*.

  • By the way, *humane* laws of the Torah? Have you even read the Torah?? I've met satanists of higher humane calibre! Give me a freaking break, dude.

  • mlr2112,

The answer to this question is Yes. I have read the Torah and I continue to. It is the most humane book I have ever read.

  • Speaking of Moses, you might want to read up on King Sargon of Akkad, Mises of Egypt, Manou of India, and Minos of Crete. And while you're at it, you might want to ask why this hero of the Bible is sometimes depicted with horns on his head.

  • I'll look into these things.

  • *snore* Could you make this anymore inane and boring?

This response to ridiot did absolutely nothing to refute him. If anything, all you did was crystallize his argument.

You're being controlled and lied to. Wake up.

  • mlr2112,

Thanks for your comment. I'm flattered, but I would appreciate your specific points in regard to this video. This way you could actually try to convince me of your truth, but as it stands, your comment is unoriginal and lacks any sort of substance whatsoever.

  • So, God revealed himself to not only 1, but 5 pagan societies/royalties long before Moses? Not only did he reveal these rules to pagan emperor *before* he revealed them to Moses, but he did it 1,000-2,000 years prior. Furthermore, the Code of Ur-Nammu is the oldest known tablet regarding law. And guess what? It was gasp...pagan!

Like I said, you're only crystallizing ridiOt's argument.

  • mlr2112,

The point of the Torah was an afirmation and Covenant with Israel, not "who was the first to have laws."

Of course some laws are similar because they are known intrinsically by all of humanity.

Ridi0t's argument simply asks a question, which I answer.

Yes. Moses did recieve the Torah from the Lord.

  • I love that the REAL wacknut Xtians think that they're jews too. I like Catholocism better.

  • NuclearRadio,

Fyi, I was confirmed a Catholic myself, and I certainly don't consider myself Jewish, but I support the Jews and I support Israel.

  • 'the cry rose up to God' after 400 years of crying. makes me think, God must be very noise resistant

  • Arin322, Wow, your witty. Peace to you!

  • So your saying that because your book says its the original (even though it was authored after way, way after the fact) that b/c your Abraham-theo-centric and they include some history in their book that thats enough to prove that all of that history is correct? Despite the fact Ur-Nammu being inpired through the ruler of Ur by the henotheist God Nanna... Dude your going to half to make a better video than that wishful thinking.

  • SIP100, Time of authorship is debatable and oral tradition is not taken into consideration. My video simply states that these truths are universal and originated from the Hebrews prior to Mt. Sini. All people share a common ancestor therefore, they also share common oral traditions. These oral traditions branched off and were changed over time, but the Hebrew tradition remained the purest. My simple answer: Yes, Moses received the Ten Commandments from God.

  • I think the point Ridiot was making is that the bible... ALL of the bible was taken from other "pagan" religions throughout the middle-east in order to stop tribal warfare and to try and unite the people under one rule... None of the bible is true and none of it should be taken as literal.

  • Grosz, please address the points made in this video. I will leave your comment up for now, but be aware that I do not allow others to use this channel to make general statements not addressing specifically the video content. Regarding your comment, your free to believe as you wish. Peace to you.

  • Great video. Many have attempted to discredit the Creator with inspiring His will to be written down for mankind to follow and have attempted to call His people copycats of the pagans. Even the demons know the will of the Creator but they refuse to follow it.

  • Thank you. Shalom.

  • Great vid man,I totally agree.Thank you!

  • Thank you. I appreciate your comment. Especially since you appear to be well read. Peace to you! I'm currently reviewing your vids.

  • Review away my friend,Peace to you and yours.

  • I love the exchange of ideas here. Truthceeker however did not argue his point at all. The FACT is that the two tablets were found brfore moses got the 10 commandments. Gee....i wonder where he got the ideas...I wish christians would start thinking rationally...

  • I think you missed the point. I can only assume by your reference to "Two Tablets," that you are referring to the Pillar of Hammurabi? Measure for Measure is part of God's nature and therefore predates all known laws. And I do not call myself a Christian, but you may call me what you please. And...thanks for the comment.

  • I would have to agree. The Laws of YHWH (613 Commandments) have been in existance since the Begining. Mosheh, was not only taught the 10 Commandments but the whole body of Laws found in the Torah. (He studied under Jethro; this is foun in Exodus) The information is found in the Holy Scriptures. If one would study thoroughly.

  • Here is a bit of sciptural proof - Gen 26:5 "Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and Kept my charge, my COMMANDMENTS, my STATUTES, and my LAWS".

This occured many years before Mosheh came on the scene.

There is even more proof found in scripture (to much to be written here).

This is coming from a True Hebrew Israelite.

    Shalom

  • This was incredibly well presented and articulate and accurate. Continue to prompt sincere and truthful thought and investigation in these matters

  • Very well done artistically. of course, your argument wouldnt stand in court. all you are arguing for is universal law (innate to humankind). no god hypothesis necessary.

  • The question of G-D as necessary isn't the right question ridiot..it is inherent to all ancient people that there is and was something or someone higher than themsleves and beyond themselves. Clarity by the torah simply brought to light the personage of that identity. There is no hypothesis, there is simply what is..which you fail by your own bias to clearly see

  • Artistic. Thanks for the comment. In regard to my observations standing in court, are you refering to the same courts which acquitted O.J. Simpson? Because if my arguments are that faulty, perhaps they stand a chance in our legal system. :-) Thanks again for the comment.

  • i was speaking hypothetically, not about the american judicial system. stop dodging the issue and face it. we dont need a sky-god to be nice to each other.

  • I'm not avoiding the question, merely answering it. Your question was very simple and straigt forward. Did Moses recieve the 10 commandments from God? My answer: Yes he did. I wasn't going to bring it up but your question presupposes the existance of God, so maybe your asking the wrong questions?

  • truth is no more subjective to individual interpretation than individual courts or juries. The prudence of relevant judicial review is questionable therefore my friend, you need to assess the truthon other pillars. Your arguments are clever but in the end are empty of true foundational principles of absolute

  • I read ridiot that your getting more maniacal with your addressments to Yahweh...

You are the guru of your own mind and opinions but for you to respond with such malfeasance is truly revulsive...

Wake up and smell your own arrogance burning...

  • what is the difference between His G-D Hypothesis or your lack of G-D hypothesis? If your statement is correct then you have no more right than truthceeker im making your case of "No G-D" You are starting to demonstrate failed logic ridiot
