  • i always throught that vickyann was a young lady

    then again

    i was wrong

    plus

    SHE WON A VIPER!

  • the best friends recommend the best youtube videos.

  • I bet Vickyann thought she overbid when Bob said $89,000...then the realization set in when he said 739. I thought it was false advertising and it was gonna end in a Rick Roll, but much to my delight, it was my all time fave DSW!!

  • @PhoenixGoddess1983 I would like to add, that this is now my 2nd favorite. My new fave is the Showcase war from 75, where they both were in DSW range. The 1st lady's difference was $30 and the winning lady's difference was $29!

  • @Peachfanclub If I won that I'd go into Street Racing

  • duck duck goose

  • @MrDouchebagtv he does it because his late wife was an animal rights activist. and he also believes that there are way too many animals and not enough homes, and this is a proven fact... so him, being as big of a name as he is, lets people know it's smart to get them spade and neutered, so we don't have homeless animals... you're the dumb ass fag... you're jealous he's a living legend and you're not.

  • Interestingly enough, Vicky Ann's total is a prime number. Her big win surpasses the old record of $110,237 (Michael Larson -- Press Your Luck) on a **CBS daytime** game show, which was also a prime number. (Again, this is solely based on CBS daytime game shows.)

  • That is my daily salary...

  • Has it ever happened where both contestants bid under $250? Do they both win both then, or just the closest one?

  • @chimera15 - Just whoever is the closest unless there is a tie. I don't know the last time the loser was in the DSW range though.

  • @chimera15 to my knowledge it has never happened in the $250 range, but when there was an $100 range, one contestant was $30 away and the other was $29 away making that person win both showcases.

  • @coleyd - That clip is on Youtube somewhere.

  • Vicky-Ann is a total badass.

  • Comment removed

  • wow I bet Vicky-Ann pwned everybody who thought she would be over with that DSW

  • they could have had rolling credits....they had plenty of time

  • Ummm.....there hasn't been a full credit roll in years in the US. Thank NBC for that.

  • i miss bob barker :(

  • What the hell are you talking about? Someone on the crew said it's so loud in there, even B&B has called to complain. It's still very full.

  • @USFCARTWRIGHT I know this comment was written a year ago, but last I heard the ratings were about the same as when Bob hosted, if not higher then when Bob hosted. So you have a choice to not like Drew if you don't like him, but I do and I've heard the ratings have been fine with him as the host.

  • They really went out this milestone with a BANG!

  • what was the car?

  • a Doge Viper

  • for 89,000? there in 6 figures arent they

  • Uh, remember someone won a $1,000,000 on a spectacular with Carey.

  • yeah but that's not the daytime show.

  • @mrnitrous20 No he doesn't. I like him and I heard the ratings are just fine with him by the host, if not higher than when Bob hosted. So you may think Drew Carey sucks, but the ratings will tell you differently.

  • @mrnitrous20 No he doesn't. I like him. By the way, last I heard the ratings were fine, probably about the same, if not then higher then when Bob hosted. I liked Bob too. but I like Drew too and I think he is doing a fine job as host. Apparently, you may not think so, but the ratings prove it!

  • yeaaa

  • I will attempt to quantify this feat for the more stat-minded among us. For a 20k showcase, the $250 wiggle room for a DSW gives contestants a 1.25 percent margin of error to work with. However, this showcase was so expensive that her margin of error was only 0.28 percent. Impressive, indeed.

  • Very exciting!

  • OUTSTANDING!!!!

  • omg at 0:30 Yes!!!!!!!!!!

  • Family Feud is almost as good as The Price Is right, not quite, but pretty good in my opinion :)

  • God Bless Vikki Ann. TPIR is way better than Wheel Of Fortune and Jeopardy. I stand 2 people winning WOF. The Price is right is way better. Pat who? Vanna? and Alex who?

  • The Price is Right is the best show on television.

  • the first lady took the 33k showcase cuz it had a corvette in it and ended up giving her a viper to bid on. if it showed the whole thing you would have seen it

  • I believe she would have still been the biggest winner in Price is Right daytime history if she had just won her own showcase.

  • I was actually at this taping. It was amazing. First of all the lady that won was standing right next to me during the interviews. I could tell she was going to get picked just by how they interviewed her. I still can't believe that bid. Everyone in the studio was moaning when she said it including myself, and then you could hear a pin drop when he started to read off the price. Classic. I am so glad someone posted this as my room mate accidently deleted the recording before I put it on a dvd.

  • Hell of a tax burden. Not like the cars on Let's Make A Deal.

  • $33,000 showcase and then $89,000 showcase? wtf

  • Yes, but did you notice? In order for the one lady to have the 33k showcase, she had to pass the 89k one to the other lady.

  • You're right. Why would she pass on a sportscar?

  • WOW

  • That was the bid of the century that $89,000, made a BIG BID and won both showcases.

  • what is that sportscar?

  • This was the perfect start to Bob's final year of TPiR!

  • Mark Goodson and Merv Griffin created Freemantle Media Productions.

  • Don't trust Fremantle!

  • Guess what? For all of you canadians fan. The Price Is Right is moving to CTV this September of 2008.

  • Okay folks look drew is doin fine as Bob Barker replacement so i wish yall stop makin excuse's why drew is awful when in Fact he is great at it

  • I miss Bob Barker, too. Drew seems to be making fun of everyone on the show. It's really a turn off. Bob was always so nice. Did anyone else see the Robot Chicken sketch where he's neutering pets with a set of hedgeclippers? Not only did Bob pwn, but Snoop Dogg was the best sport ever about it. It was great.

  • We'll never forget Bob, but we've got Drew and the show will keep going.

  • @Godzillaman I don't like Drew Carey either! Bob Barker was the man! But this was Bob's final year in the start of the 35th season.

  • Now *that* is a Million Dollar Bid. :)

  • Wasn't there somebody who won golden road for ~80,000 and then won their showcase? They must have come pretty close to this if I'm remembering right.

  • The $1,000,000 might've been exciting, but remember ths DAYTME and $147,000 is huge for daytime.

  • They should have give her a million-dollar bonus there...

  • what the final tally on last night millon dollar showcase winner

  • $1,153,908 was Adam's grand total last night. This clip is the biggest win they've ever had for the regular daytime show.

  • Great moment.....but paltry compared to what happened tonight!

  • That's the most insane bid I've ever seen.

  • I miss Bob.

  • I recently wrote a post saying correctly jdohe about his use of the term "Showcase Showdown" and got a -2 rating. How do I get this rating? All I did was correct somebody's mistake, which is a common misconception about TPIR.

  • I just gave you a +1 for that post. You were right about the Showcase thing. There are a few people that hit the negative button a lot.

  • Take a look at this showdown, one is $30 under, the other is $29 under!

    do a youtube search on

    price is right close finish

  • What you are referring to is the Showcase. The Showcase Showdown is when 3 contestants spin the Big Wheel.

  • This show was one of the best ones in Bob's year of the show, with all sorts of excitement throughout. A perfect end to the show where 7 cars were given away!

  • With prizes and a sportscar, that's a lot of taxes and no cash to pay it off.

  • Was that a Lotus? She about got into it, and right after that, the ballons dropped. There's no way something would be that expensive without a Lotus, or a Porsche, or a lambo, or an Audi, or,. . . Someone tell me!!

  • Saturn Sky

  • NO effin way, a Saturn Sky?! That much, for a Saturn Sky? OMG!!!!

  • I can relate. I thought she bid on a Dodge Viper. Those run about $85000+.

  • That's what I was thinking...Dodge Viper! No??

  • This is an outstanding new record on The Price is right. I love the way VickiAnne bid $89,500, and made history on The Price is Right.

  • I remember this... I about $#!& myself when I saw it... Awesome moment.

  • yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss WTG

  • Was in the audience for this.

They had to pipe down the audience level SEVERELY throughout the entire episode. We made that place shake!

Vickyann, to clarify Teshawn, broke Michael Larson's 20+-year old record for CBS winnings with that win.

  • hahaha that is awesome! good for her! she was soooo happy!

  • hahaha the biggest winner on price is right!!!! hahahah

  • That was freaking amazing! When this aired I was at school and taping the episode to watch when I got home. What a terrific way to kick off that incredible season

  • hey everyone look at this guy, he puts down people more fortunate than him so he can feel good about himself....what a man

  • $147,517 is a world record for Daytime TV

  • WOW she won 147,517 dollars worth of shit!!!!!!

    That tax bill was hell.

  • No! They would have done it anyway.

  • they were going to do that anyways, the cake and baloons was for the 35th anniversary not for the double showcase winner

  • No. The cake was for 35th anniversary. I mean damn.

  • i WISH CBS will ask bob to present the mike to drew as a honour to him PLEASE CBS poeple do it it would be just.......... (no words).

  • If you're talking about Bob Barker's microphone, they already sold it on auction for almost $20,000. Just do a search for 'Bob Barker microphone auction' and you'll find the info on it, but here's the link.

  • The microphone sold on ebay is not the same microphone that Bob was most recently using. The microphone sold on ebay was the one Bob used from sometime in the early '90s (when his silver one stopped working) until a couple years ago. They stopped using it because it became unreliable. It would work sometimes and wouldn't work other times.

  • Sure. Can you can proove that! You are talking gossip & don´t know what the hell you are talking. Can you proove, anytinung!!! No. Hehe.

Save me from your cheap American gossip. Please...

  • The night time shows had some high winner

Daniel Mostad from Indiana who won $178,998 in prizes on 12/13/2003

  • wow. $147,517! tat's a lot of money

  • Whooop Whooop Whoooooou HAHA Nice 70s sound effects

  • I wonder why he said she was the biggest winner for the Price is Right "Daytime". I didn't watch all the night time airings.

  • LOOOKS fake to me

  • great bid

  • that is a good start of the seasons

  • The best bid ever on a season opener ever.

  • why didnt they make such a big deal on the LAST episode???? all the cake and lights and baloons??? the last one was so ordinary.

and wow i love the blatent spam below...

    pixiecamz?? wow

  • This isn't the finale. It was the season opener. I will agree about the blatant spam though.

  • You're right. I knew Bob wouldn't do anything to bring attention to himself leaving, but the show should've. As far as not giving away a car for every game or something, I guess you must remember that the show still will go on, and I'm not sure how successful it will be without Bob so they couldn't just spend $1,000,000 on the one episode.

  • Bob didn't want too much attention on that episode being his last show. However, they did offer expensive prizes and have two expensive Showcases. That is definitely a special event right there!

  • This was actually the 35th Season Premiere of TPIR in 2006. At the time Bob had not announced plans to retire. Remember that the final winner in the showcase on the last show in June 2007 ended up winning over $140,000 in prizes; close but not quite the record.

  • $140,235 if I remember it right. I thought she was the highest winner ever.

Does anyone know if there's a clip of the Lady who hit the $250 cutoff on the nose with a bid of $51,231 on and ARP of $51,481?

  • MR barker you are and will REMAIN the BEST (price is right) Host of ALL time

  • right when he was saying "the actual retail price is" it said the movie was over >:(

  • She got a cake! i want a cake! so, do they make a cake every episode in case some one gets a double showcase or have they just been saving that one?

  • No, it was a one time special deal.

  • I'd shit my pants.

  • i saw this one it cost so much for hers cause she had a 07 viper

  • how the fuck did a showcase worth 89k?!?

  • sportscar included

  • wow that's amazing :P

  • Now that's an ULTRA JACKPOT!!!

  • The Australian PIR has a MEGA SHOWCASE worth over HALF A MILLION DOLLARS!!

  • But thats in Australia, not in AMERICA, ok

  • I know, just pointing it out.

  • Damm thats a lot of mother f-ing taxes. bout 60g's to keep them prices.

  • I REALLY miss Bob.

  • the theme song is relaxing

  • eww

  • $147,517 cash and prizes, not just money

  • ok i feel stupid - he does do it in every show, for a animal rights cause

i guess i never actually saw the end of the show, it came as a surprise to me, especially after the biggest win ever

  • or is that something in all episodes

  • wtf is with the spaying and nudering at the end...

  • Man I love TPIR's theme song.

  • It seems like ever episode during the last few season Bob would say you are the Highest Winner in Price is Right history.

  • The prizes increase in price every day.

  • the taxes she'd have to pay on that win would be over 45k

  • No, Someone was only $29 below the price

  • yah I would take any1 else over rosie o'donnell...look what she did on The View (i know made viewership rise) constantly aruged with her co-hosts..she'd prolly argue with the contestants or something stupid

  • I would've loved to have been in on the convo btween her and Bob after the show.

  • If Rosie O'Donut is the next host, they may as well CANCEL the show.

  • I disagree. She'd do an awesome job. It'd be better than Andy Dick, who i heard is also in contention.

  • She's a fruitcake conspiracy theorist who'd run TPIR into the ground in no time at all.

  • Here we go... I read on Yahoo that Rosie may get the job. The world tilts on its axis and we plummet into the sun. >:(

  • does anyone happen to know what other prises she won during her pricing game?

  • It was improbable that she could have won on that bid, let alone winning a double showcase! Awesome!

  • if rosie gets the job, i don't see the show lasting. first thing u know it a contestent will come up and say something wrong and she'll blow up on them.

  • HELL NO rosie will spell the end of the show everybody loves Bob and everybody hates rosie...do the math

  • Rosie is such an ugly bitch she should never even get close too the price is right stage

  • Don't worry, she recently said she wasn't going to try out.

  • good fuck that ugly bitch what would ever happen to the barker beauties

  • Holy shit!

  • Well if they replace Bob Barker with Rosie O Donnell, will any of yous watch it again?

  • of course not gridmaster13

  • hell **** naw. Have a good retirment bob

  • No.......Bob Barker is awesome and Rosie O'Donnell sucks. Plain and simple.
