In the movie, Bruno is preparing the interview location and exclaims "there's no furniture, we must find some furniture", then he goes out to the mexicans and asks them "would you like to make some extra money?", and THEN it cuts to Paula entering, seeing the mexicans and being told to sit, reluctantly. Finally she runs out when they bring in food served on a naked mexican.

Either insane editing or she was drunk and forgot the real events.
