  • @sarges69 A 9.4 sold in 11/06 for $10,755 but since then a lot of high end golden age books have nose dived over the last couple years. I would expect somewhere in the $5-7k range. I sold a qualified 9 in 10/08 for $600 so a sp 9.4 could go for around $1000 or so today. It's really hard to gauge restored books. The type of resto can also impact the value. I'd pay more for a book with a couple dots of color touch than a cleaned or trimmed book. These Barks books have softened a lot at the moment.

  • do u think its worth to send a exciting comics#34 thats probaly a gd to cgc?

  • @MrEthan717 Tough one. That one has a nice war cover but in gd? It might be worth sending in but only through the least expensive tier which means you'll have to wait a couple months or so. Alex Shomburg covers are always in demand especially nice war covers like that one.

  • Disney is going to destroy marvel! Fuck Disney!

  • i love those old donald duck books there amazing

  • youre donald duck collection got me interested in disneys now.they're funny books. they're not CGC,but i keep them safe.

  • Do you try to complete full runs or do you mainly focus on getting just graded key issues?

  • I just look for stuff I like. Completing runs of the old stuff would be extremely tough and expen$ive.

  • okay as a dedicated fan to Marvel with all do respect how can you not have the first issue of Captain America?!?It's okay though i know how rare it is to find but i think you did well getting #30 that itself is a HUGE accomplishment!

  • I'm working on it but I need Action #1, Det #27, Sup #1, and Bat #1 first.

  • :D LOL

    That is funny.........Who are you?

  • What a great box you have there! So great barks-stories in those issues. I agree on the key issue :-) Scrooge is my absolute favorite.

Uncle Scrooge no. 1 too... gosh :-)

  • I thought this was a really interesting video! Are you going to make another video featuring your collection of Carl Barks' duck comics? I thought it was fascinating to see these old comics in "3-D" on your video rather than just seeing 2-D scans or photos of the covers online. I wish I had the money to afford old comics such as these, but unfortunately, I'm just a poor college student.

  • Thanks for the feedback. I only have one other duck book at the moment which I set aside in the video with another on the way soon. I might do another video with my silver age soon.

  • Cool! Let me know when/if you make the video!
