great video, but the water quality was very dirty !!!! you have to change the water more offen, and how do you know that fish will surviver after releasing it to the river ? u kept it in 1000gl tank all its life...
i've been researching sustainable sturgeon aquaculture and was wondering if a venutre like this one would be possible in a climate like the Shenendoah Valley in western Virginia. I researched aquaculture for a school paper but got hooked on the idea and have been digging ever since. Any information would be appreciated : )
@TheMrAWeaver Sorry for the very delayed response but I just saw your message on YouTube... Yes, sturgeon in your area would do very well, actually they use to live in that area historically (I do not have time to search for any information if they still do...).

@TheMrAWeaver We actually sell live Atlantic & shortnose sturgeon for research (Maryland, New York) or aquaculture (North Carolina). The business of growing sturgeon in aquaculture is long term investment, strictly regulated but also high reward if you manage to get to caviar. I am very busy in this period, but if you find interested people in Virginia with resources to start such an endeavor then I could help with expertise (paid) and selling live sturgeon for aquaculture.
