  • "If I ever made it out of this hell hole, I wouldn't sell blow, I would just sell flows..."

That line said it right there.

  • Kanye West is a modern day Dr.Dre, he makes beats, but have ghostwriters for his songs.

  • @snowdjagha

rza said in the tao that even if he retires from music, he will never stop making beats because it is just as much a part of him as breathing is. also i didn't see anyone bring up the fact that back in the day the bible was used a tool for the crown to control the serfs into paying taxes and not owning there land as it was "the word of god"

  • Whats all this talk about the bible? Hail SATAN! hahahahahahahahah

  • the one dislike is from young money!

  • jesus would knock mohammeds teeth out

  • @sh1tonwba doubtfull,

if you take the islamic image of jesus, he is another profit, like an earlier Mohammad.

Or if you prefer the Christan image, he is a man of peace and god, as is Mohammad (the same God infact) and not a whole lot of violence would ensue. Or look at it historically, where there were born generations apart and Jesus was long dead before Mohammad was even thought about.

  • @theBraxil mohammed fucked kids. pedophiles arent tough

  • @Numba1Wonder -

    100 percent correct

  • he wrote all of the song, this is the verse he had for himself

  • this had to be a different verse, cuz fest did his shit b4 the song ever took off

  • this is the best verse of the song

  • nice find bro

  • This dude is aflat out beast! Does anyone know what other songs he has written for artists?

  • im sorry but you cant try to justify the bible from a standpoint that its right because it had primary witnesses. 1. even though these witness accounts are documented, that hardly makes them true and we have no way of verifying it. 2. Primary witnesses are often the most unreliable source in any investigation. If you believe, then you just have to believe because theres really no hard evidence

  • @cpassa52 what reason would the apostles have to lie?? what would they gain from it? i am a true believer in christ and there's no doubt in my mind that He is real. you need to have faith. you have a hardened heart, so nothing will make sense to you, you wont believe it or understand it. i have witnessed in myself miracles only God could do. i havent gained fame or riches, but i've grown in something money cant buy, a relationship with God, and the work He's done in me to help serve in His name.

  • @tiff1rocks christianity is used to control

  • @Numba1Wonder well Jesus said he's the Christ.... I guess it doesn't say that he said that in the Quran? But that's just like Muhammad trying to rewrite history! I mean the Bible was written first and had primary witnesses! But that is interesting, thanks for sharing.

  • As much as I like rhymefest, Kanye sounds better

  • @IH8H8ers123 he ain't got million dollar engineers and producers editing his vocals!

  • @Kingphilosophy um, yes he does.

  • oh and the last couple of lines aren't even from original-original version. Those lines are new... the ones about osiris...

  • isnt he muslim

  • Rhymefest ghostwrote for kanye on this one

  • @wstk123 he co-wrote, not ghost wrote. ghost writers don't win grammies.

  • @kamocean they do, sauce money got one for ghosting "i'll be missing you"

  • Still pissed this verse got cut off... Dude is hands down my favorite rapper adnd he dont get anywhere near the the attention he should... He hasnt exactly made it easy on himself though

  • kanye took his flow

  • @haterz91,

Kanye's flow sounds nothing like Rhymefest not stop trying to start beef.

  • Give this nigga a deal.

  • @SVTCO

A deal? He wrote most of Kanye's music. This is the original version. Until Kanye changed it a bit. He wrote a lot of Kanye's music.

  • @CALICOTV301 yeah true that. what i meant was that he never gets radio play (i know true rappers hardly get any radio play or media play), i'm just saying that he needs to be really put out there cause there's so many people who've never heard of rhymefest and other superior rappers and that's a damn shame.

  • @SVTCO Well, I agree with what you mean, but he has ghostwritten many of the hits you know today - aside from Kanye's. In addition, Ras Kass, Rhymefest, Tech9ne, Crooked I, Talib, KRS, etc. The real MC's are too deep.

Unfortunately, too much of the new generation would rather watch a movie than read a book. Meaning, they'd rather not analyze. They rather listen to ABC music because u don't have to think too much. But fortunately, true mc's love it and do it for themselves too.

  • @CALICOTV301,

Rhymefest never ghostwrote for Kanye and he proudly said that in one of his interviews plus if he did then Kanye would be a much better rapper. Kanye writes his own lyrics and it's pretty obvious and I'm saying he sucks but he could be better.

  • @HARRYMARIA Helping someone write whether literally writing or assisting is ghostwriting. If you clearly see that it begins "You know what the midwest is..." you should know something.

Because someone writes music for someone, it doesn't mean that they'll envision is the way that person wrote it. It doesn't mean he'll be a better rapper. Some ghostwriters write considering the person they are writing for and not them.

  • @CALICOTV301,

I know for sure Kanye writes his own lyrics and Rhymefest even said Kanye did plus that dude who has actually Kanye & Rhymefest who wrote a comment on this very page said Kanye did plus the dude has been rapping since he was like 5 before he met Rhymefest. He was a rapper before he was a producer but he was signed as a producer first.

  • @HARRYMARIA He got a grammy for "co-writing" Jesus Walks.

  • @CALICOTV301,

Yeah but because it was Rhymefest's concept and some of the lines were taken by Kanye because he liked those lines. I know everything about this whole "Jesus Walks" situation and Rhymefest did not ghostwrite for Kanye and he never will because Kanye is not a producer rapper he's a rapper and a producer. He's not Diddy or Dre...

  • @HARRYMARIA Perhaps you don't know what the term "ghostwrite" means. Whether it's Rap, Television, or a Publication. If I create a line, and it's accredited to you, I'm considered the "ghostwriter." The person who isn't visible but a co-writer. A ghostwriter must remain nameless by legality. If I say a word even when we are vibing in the studio, and you use it, and I didn't feature in the song, I'm the ghostwriter. Which is a co-writer that isn't featured in the song but accredited.

  • @CALICOTV301,

So basically every rapper has a ghostwriter because alot of rappers be vibing in the studio together.

  • @HARRYMARIA If I write or SAY a line, and you use it, unless we agree otherwise, you credit me for it. We both have publishing writes to that song. Both of our names will appear on contracts. Even if I didn't appear on the song, I would be considered "co-writer." Since Im behind the scenes, in Hip Hop's terms, I would be coined to have ghost-written. Vibing is vibing. But, if I'm vibing, and I say "see how this word sounds instead of that," yes, I am now a co-writer.

  • @CALICOTV301 Dude, You're over stating the simple concept of legality. The point of this as you think. end sessionwhole complex arguement is Rhymefest wrote many of the lyrics, and ALL of the lyrics of 5 Kanye's most notable songs on his first album (and a few on his second). Rhymefest is thus his ghostwriter. simple as that. By the way, Gilly the Kid writes for Wayne. Your Heroes aren't as simple

  • @Geoblazer im not saying ur wrong. but proof?? cuz those are bold statements. im just making sure ur not another biased listener that believes the first thing they hear and tells it to everyone. WAY too much of that in this game today

  • @HARRYMARIA Now. The reason you here so many beefs and disagreeances is because what you stated. "Ghostwriters" or people fall into this same situation. They help and artist write a song on the whim, maybe no paper contracts. More of that "You're my boy, go ahead and use it!" That's until the checks cut or the grammy's are won. That's why you see so many beefs about the situation. "I wrote for so and so!" But, so and so thought it was just studio vibing and the writer shouldn't be accredited.

  • @CALICOTV301 dude stfu already your like repeating yourself, and its annoying

  • @CALICOTV301 Dude, You're over stating the simple concept of legality. The point of this whole complex arguement is Rhymefest wrote many of the lyrics, and ALL of the lyrics of 5 Kanye's most notable songs on his first album (and a few on his second). Rhymefest is thus his ghostwriter. simple as that. By the way, Gilly the Kid writes for Wayne. Your Heroes aren't as simple as you think. end session

  • @Geoblazer He seemed to not understand

  • @Geoblazer huh? what songs? I was there...

  • @CALICOTV301 he and kanye were childhood friends apparently.

  • rymefest is a beast

  • this HOT!

  • The parts Kanye took were the chorus and 1st 4 bars of the song. All those lyrics were from an old song Rhymefest and I did like a year before Jesus Walks was made. Kanye wrote the rest of the song on his own.

  • Follow me on twitter: @akaLZBeats

  • As a matter of fact, Rhymefest gave the sample to me before he gave it to Kanye. One of Rhymefest's friends found the sample and told him he would only give it to him if the producer made the beat for Rhymefest. I was taking too long to make the beat, so Rhymefest gave it to Kanye. Kanye took a while to make it, but when he played it on the phone for us, we lost it! We recorded Fest's verse at Kanye's crib, but apparently Kanye didn't like it.

  • Rhymefest didn't "co-write" kanye's version. Kanye actually took some of rhymefest's lines from an old song rhymefest did and used them cuz he liked them. Rhymefest got co-writer credits cuz kanye was being fair. Kanye wrote his parts himself. I know... I was there! I had produced and recorded the old Rhymefest song.

  • @WLZTV,

Don't you hate when people say stuff like that. Thank you for clearing things up---I'm tired of dealing with these haters.

  • hip hops a set up yep yep a set up :D

  • I actually like Kanye's version better. Rhymefest's version is good but Yeezy straight killed it.

  • rhymefest cowrote kanye's version...

  • Because the masses are more interested in nice beat than lyrical content? As Wu-Tang said "the dumb are mostly intrigued by the drum"

  • And That Is Not An Act That Is Actual Fact

  • so you're saying Kanye's version didn't have any lyrical content whatsoever? fuck outta here!

  • @Tapout2GJJ You can either say that or "Weak minds are easily decieved"

  • @Tapout2GJJ dont agree with that. so why us rza still doing beats?? fuck that right? the lrics are everything!

imo, in hip hop verything counts! not just the lyrical content. a nice beat exalts a good lyrical content!

  • Comment removed

  • This song is about Jesus and god, and yall listen to it and then trash the comment boards with foul language and cursing.

Try paying attention to the words try to learn something.

  • People don't care what the songs about, if they want to curse they want to curse. I mean no offense mate but you can't change that; here the people who curse and are disrespectful in your eyes outnumber you a million to one (an exxageration but you get the point). The most you can do is just not let it get to you.

  • "i wouldnt sell blow i would just sell flows"

  • fuck kanye he fucks up erything

    rhymefest the future

  • Rhymesfest was the one who wrote this song for kanye west but kanye change couple of thing but this was the original lyric for jesus walks. Rhymefest got a track called "stolen" it better than jesus walks hands down.

  • damm he is SOOO SICK one of the best rappers alive fuck LIL WAYNE rymefest got him on hands down

  • Nice verse before he does the original Jesus Walks verse.

  • give rhymefest his props.

if hes not the fuckin superstar he still was the driving force behind the shit.

he didnt get a grammy for nothing.

  • word, i hear that.

  • @theespankee,

Rhymefest came up with the concept, He wrote the song for himself then he gave it to Kanye and Kanye wrote some lyrics to his concept. Rhymefest was going to be featured on the song but then Kanye decided to take his verse out for whatever reason but it's because he's a bastard infact Kanye helped Rhymefest gain some Mainstream attention with "Brand New".

  • @theespankee too true .

  • na na fool milli vanilli iz da best rymer

  • why isnt this verse on the released version that nigga killed it Rhymfest is so underrated !!!!!!!!!

  • cuz his verse is better than kanyes but he's a nobody to the world

  • but rhymefest wrote the hole song .....what!!!!

  • bitch, you dont know music. i love kanye, but immortal techniques have a full line up of lyrical masterpeices. get your mind right hoe

  • plz get the fuck outta here

  • wow rymfest is freaking sick way better then that sell out kyna west

  • yeah, this was kanye west's big song that made him known but its not even his

  • True that

  • Kanye stole it, completely.

  • he didnt 'steal it', hes listed as a cowriter of the song, they worked on it together

  • Yeah, then he took all of the credit because he's Mr. Child of God, saviour of Hip Hop and all that other self-serving bullshit.

  • except he didnt take all the credit, whymefest won a grammy for his contributions for the song and is listed in the booklet as a cowriter of the song...

  • Ask 100 people about the song Jesus walks and 99 of them will have no idea who Rhymefest even is. End of.

  • what does that have to do with anything? he gave him credit.and the fact is it was rhymefest who decided the track should be on kaynes album in the first place.

  • Bullshit. If you believe that then there is no point in even talking to you, since you know fuck all about what you're saying.

  • wikipedia- "Fest didn't have a record contract at that time and he knew that if West could produce it and become famous, he would be able to gain some notoriety from it as well. Fest co-wrote the chorus and first verse with West and even wrote and performed a third verse that did not make the final cut, but is performed on his mixtape, "A Star is Born".

  • Five days ago my cousin made the Michael Jackson wikipedia say 'The star was buried with his most prized possessions such as the original white glove, the first image from the Thriller photoshoot and three young boys'.

Wikipedia's bullshit. That said, I'm just ignoring you now.

  • LMAO @ Three young boys

  • still dude your being a dumb asshole cause like... rhymefest clearly does not care, rhymefest doies not feel like kanye fucked him over clearly, because they still work together, your acting like oh man kanyes such a dick like rhymefest had no idea that kanye would get more famous off the song than him, he wrote the fucking song for him...

  • Yeah, and I'm sure Kanye West is reading these comments and crying about it.

The guy has a right to his opinion. Man the fuck up and get over it.

  • kanye thanked rhymefest at the grammys

  • i saw that... i was there

  • HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Shit ur serious!

  • kanye is horse manure man he didnt do anything well since forever

  • i saw immortal live at uconn a few months ago and he really doesn't want the publicity, all he cares about is making a difference in the world without becoming a mainstream sellout, which so far he has successfully done, rhymefest needs credit and it is well deserved

  • sounds weird with Rhymefest.

  • this is where the Ye haters are!

  • na i just like rhymefest more

  • Rhymefest is 100x the lyricist that Kanye is, his flow is muuuch smoother. Kanye is in it for the limelight, Rhymefest is making a name for himself.

  • Rhymefest show-u his-world---premier,

Which at first was his-idea, yeah,

this the real song not like kayne west'es, he didnt introduced us to this fezz-sh!t and snatch his song if it were a wrecked neckless, and to me i call that respectless, checkthis cuz prolly i'll get rejected, like a hot chick being wet and breast-less, and i dont give a damn about what you would sayyyy

cuz i know what song is the one i will use to pray. Rhymefests Jezus Walks is what Me-Just-Wants... Peace

  • free downloadable mix tape "plug city-city on my back" just go to his web site and download it... now!

  • He murdered this. I would like to hear the whole thing. :<

  • disagree rymefest's just flows out so much betta

  • damn when i 1st heard of this awhile ago i was like fuck K-West took the sample and the song and fest got nothing he could've blown off that track and Kanye was supposed to be his friend i still dont like kanye

  • nothin...he won a grammy for it

  • Obviously, Fest's verse is 100 times better Kanye West.

  • Wow! I knew he wrote it I just never checked for it. Killed it. Ye should of made a bigger deal out of homie when this dropped, I used to bump it loud and proud out the Jeep when all my BK nigguhz was frontin on the joint! Forte Greene Stand Up!

  • I think it's better that Kanye left Rymefest Verse off the track. Not saying his verse wasn't crazy..it was, It was just to hood for it to cross the way it did without him. His talent is incredible. Can't wait for his next CD.

  • Rhymefest killed this track on this verse and when he helped write the original.

  • Rhymefest IS the greatest alive

  • rhymefest is sick, i think this one of his best verses

  • That's not even it. All wrong.

He had the song and everything but gave it to Kanye. Kanye is one of his main homies.

So he did him that favor.

  • this verse would fit right in with it...

  • this is just how the music intestry is you pay your duse. Kanye had to do the same thing

  • no what happened is he found the song that kanye sampled, kanye made the beat and ryhmefest made a whole song to it, but he didnt have a record deal so kanye just used the beat for himself

  • the god dont love me bit is in man in the mirror too

  • Rhymefest "WILL" get his PROPS. Hes a conscious Brotha, and its still some what hard for conscious Brotha to get back on top, because of all the "SELF" indulged, blingged out, "DUMB" it down thugged out, in Cognito "QUEER" ass shit. Black people have stooped to a ALL TIME LOW in the last sixteen years, but Brothas like: FEST, TALIB, LUPE, CHUCK D, DEAD PREZ, BLACK ICE, KRS, I could go on, are determined to bring "AUTHENTIC" HIP HOP back. If you want the real thing back you better fight for it.

  • ahhh nice man. someone fucking understands

  • Thats your opinion, I like Immortal Technique though, if you look in my profile i have some of his work, no doubt hes got skills.

  • Had to throw his name out there for publicity.

  • Immortal Technique needs publicity over Rhymefest? Get the fuck out of here. Theres like 10 of his videos on youtube that have over 1 million views. Get the fuck out

  • tell the truth - 3 mill

dance with the devil - 2 mil

    you never know - 1.2

point of no return - 1.17 mil

and about 40 others ranging from 700k-300k views. You need to come on a rhymefest video and shout out IT because he needs the publicity? get the fuck out of here man that is some bullshit. I don't care if he is your 3rd favorite rapper. Also if you are gonna call me dumb and say im making an argument against myself...then please form a proper fucking sentence. eat your own dick faggot

  • You still fuckin dumb I aint NEVER in any words say that Immortal Technique needs more publicity than Rhymefest. So u still actin like a damn fool by sayin that. And nigga get ya story straight, I said Immortal Technique is keepin Hip-Hop alive cause some1 called hip-hop dead. But thats dudes comment got deleted. So suck mad dog dick.

  • about 2 pages back in the comments you said. IMMORTAL TECHNIQUE IS THE BEST RAPPER ALIVE then when someone replied about your comment you said "im just throwing his name out cause he needs publicity" YOU ARE SAYING THIS WHILE YOU ARE WATCHING A VIDEO 23000 VIEWS! IT who has millions of views needs publicity so bad you have to shout it out in rhymefest videos? Maybe you should comment on the actual video on hand other than how immortal technique needs more publicity. idiot

  • Listen Fuckface when I wrote that comment IT did not have that many views on his videos. And who why ur so mad that I said his name I have no idea, u prolly got beat up and raped by a preppy kid and want revenge on every1 but listen here cunt sucker I dont give a shit about you. If I shout out a niggas name hop off my dick and go on with ur pathetic existence. And u posted like 5 comments that have nothing to do with Rhymefest by replying to me so again u worthless piece of shit eat a dick.

  • yeah so basically you ran out of arguing points so you decided to say a bunch of non sense. Your mother should of swallowed you instead....and if she wasnt willing to do that the least she could do is make sure you went to school.

  • word up

  • i thought he was pureto rican

  • Nah he's peruvian check out his website

  • He actually explains the ish at the begining of the song...

Like, one day, Rhymefest found this sample, he went to the studio of Kanye, and co-produced the joint with Kanye. So then, they were like making the track, and it prolly was gonn be like : Kanye West Featuring Rhymefest : Jesus Walks. But rhymefest's verse never made the final version...

  • is this ment to Big Baby Jesus? oO O.D.B

  • "The song was co-written with rapper (and close friend of West's) Rhymefest and Mark Ronson." Wikipedia. Maybe this was Rhymefest's verses as he would write for himself...

  • ... ... Original?

  • man his beat his song he should have had a verse ;)

  • Jup, but hey, Kanye hasn't really been looking out for fest anymore, I mean, Why should concequence get features on kanye albums but fest not, he was also on a version of Gone, where he was actually replaced for consequence

  • you have to admit consequence is sick in gone, his verse is one of the best on the cd hes got such unique flow listen to "The Good the Bad the Ugly" and "Grammy Family" if you want some sick kanye/consequence

i do agree thou, i wish rhymefest and kanye did more shit

  • you have to admit consequence is sick in gone, his verse is one of the best on the cd hes got such unique flow listen to "The Good the Bad the Ugly" and "Grammy Family" if you want some sick kanye-consequence

i do agree thou, i wish rhymefest and kanye did more shit but rhymefest turned down kanyes offer f.o.r. GOOD music because he didnt want to ruin there friendship

  • wow! been lookin for this shit too

  • damn dazz tite where u find dat

  • If I told you, I would have to kill you... :P .
