Suker wasn't a pure striker. He was some kind of all around attack player because of his great technique. Yes, I know Suker finished some tournaments being the top scorer (France 98') and I know he had great shoot accuracy , but he wasn't a striker like Batistuta or Vieri.
In my days Davor Suker & Mijatovic were the biggest striking hitmen on the planet. They would have commanded such a high fee in the same valuation as C Ronaldo & Messi. Around 1996-1999 Suker was valued at £50m.
@carpdiem88, yes my firend, they were two of the best strikers in that era, Suker had a great performance in Sevilla and in Madrid only the first season. And Mijatovic of Valencia was such an amazing player, in Madird a team full of stars he couldn't reach the same level of Valencia, but he had a tremendous season leading Yugoslavia to the WorldCup 98. @cicocile, It's ok man, maybe you know better than I about Yugoslavia history, but in Official games talking about Euro 2000, and WC 1998 the country was called Yugoslavia, so i'm not into the country history, please understand my point of view.

Mijatovic played in wc 98, check out the penalty he missed against Edwin Van der Saar in wc 98, if he had scored that penalty yugoslavia could play the semifinals. MIJATOVIC PLAYED IN WC 98, I BET MY LIFE HE DID.
