  • I've been a student of this amp for a number of months.this is the 'death' rattle you may hear in the competitions voice.the engineering of this monster will be a front runner for a long, long, long time.a great buy at a little over a grand, and no plastic junk you pay twice the amount for.

  • i want this amp

  • 0:00

  • can it djent? XD

  • @sovietmudkip1 If not it's garbage.

  • @sovietmudkip1 Surprisingly, a lot of Kustoms work REALLY well for Djent.

  • You need to do a review with UK Celestion speakers. Not that crappy China Celestion speaker which this cab has! Great amp if used with decent speaker!

  • @newyorkspell Or just get American speakers like Eminence and WGS

  • sounds super compressed

  • @Pianoblacks

High gain lead and crunch is supposed to be compressed.

I dont hear any bad compression in the distortion modes.

But the clean could be clearer but I think thats from his guitar.. put a strat on that baby and you will get some better "open" tones.

  • sounds like it's got no balls

  • this amp sounds good, but at this price it sould be made in the USA NOT CHINA. It is only asembled in the US. So looking at it this way my Bugera 333 not only sounds great but it also cost a third of this amp. If I wanted to shell out $1600 I'd go made in the USA.

Kustom I hope you go down in flames with this over priced Chineese POS!

  • @robb12d Not all of the Double Cross is made in China. Some of it is made in USA, as well as it being assembled in USA, which gives you more quality control. Also, Kustom owns their own manufacturing, which is something that not all made in China amplifiers do. And the tone speaks volumes for itself. If the amp was not quality, it would not be making the rounds with Joe Satriani as Galen Henson's stage amp over in Europe right now.

  • @robb12d Finally, ALL the Bugera stuff is reverse engineered from someone else's design, the Double Cross is a completely new design totally owned by Kustom. Comparing it to the Bugera is laughable at best. I'm not saying the Bugera is crap, but they're two completely different things aimed at completely different markets.

  • this things got 12 valves! thats the most ive ever seen in an amp!

  • Where's the high-end? This thing has no clarity to it... probably just the video though

  • kustom amps... pushing the market. good stuff...

  • Im going to regret asking this but how much?

  • @Nevadatyler13 1699... not bad, but you could get a dual rec for that much

  • @PNWjib the double cross has the "double cross" feature and has 12 valves, thats 4 more valves then the DR

  • funny noise gate on his voice xD

  • I play on Double Cross through a Carvin cab loaded w/ Vintage 30's and let me tell you this setup has got plenty of low end, all you have to do is dial it in.Also he should have played on something better sounding than an Epiphone.

  • the amp sounds as little muffled actually i dont like it that much theres a low end missing i want some umph! im gonna get a bugera trirec half stack instead

  • never heard of gibson?

  • Man these vids are becoming more about pauls great playing rather than the gear ha ha.

  • is it just me, or is paul getting better??

    sweet cab, nice licks (Y)

  • PAUL IS PLAYING MY MODEL GUITAR!!!...he gives me faith that it can sound great if i practice more.

  • Now that sounds good!

  • Paul's the best

  • Comment removed

  • Holy balls that thing looks awesome and sounds great

  • Is Paul able to respond to text post? or e-mail?if so whare can i contact him

  • I don't know if it is the mic they used to record the amp or what, but it sound really thin!!!!!

  • paul is freaking insane on the guitar LOL i normally watch these vids cause of his playing!

  • @mattyboyovadanet -haha so do i.even if its gear i could give a crap less about,i like seeing what cool licks he plays

  • @chadewatson haha its good fun to watch him play these confusing looking solos!

  • Well, it looks very nice, but for that price you could get a good laney.

  • @YogSothothOfGuitars

    Hmmm laney?

  • @gunsproof They sound Good!

  • @YogSothothOfGuitars had a laney VC30 212 ,unreliable as hell!

  • @TomHappyapril Damn...

  • What kinda humbuckers does Paul use in his epiphone?

  • @kjetilslash if he didn't change anything these are standard alnico classics, i've got the same ones in my g400, they sound ok, but it's nothing comparing them to SG Special Faded ones.

  • paul riario is an amazing guitar himself

  • what was the first song..........it sound so fucking familiar

  • @davay1 , it sounds like priest.

  • @ScreamingBloodyGore uhh... that guitar made metal/hard rock its just people got really cheap and started buying deans and bc rich

  • @wasup23tube Yes!

without Clapton (UK) and Michael Bloomfield (US) Les pauls and Gibson would be long forgotten. But then both guitarists used it in a wasy never used before (Blues-rock). With then a young Jim Page, and the rest is history my friend.

  • @Ramones1234100 The Les Paul is just a signature model, its not like a fender strat, its not like an Ibanez Rg, its the Les Paul signature guitar, Les Pauls signature guitar, without him, the les paul would have never existed, and without the les paul gibson would have been forgotten, its no thanks to clapton thats for sure.

  • @JoeGuitarGuy Les (The man) and Les (The guitar) are two completley different entities. Les Paul (RIP) was an amazing guitarist (and inventor) in his own right, but Les (the guitar) was a guitar was a guitar taken out of context, abused, and turned into something new. It paved the way. So the man and his own signature model guitar: Both kick ass. Just different ;D

  • @Ramones1234100 This is very true, many people who play a les paul have no idea who les paul himself is i can a sure you that and this is a very sad fact but up until august 2009 les paul (rest his soul) was the designer of ever years les paul standard, every year a new re-issue of the les paul is released and he was there to make the little tweaks and changes to each one, so the les paul up until last year was up to his specifications so it was really still his model (I'll continue in another)

  • @Ramones1234100 the les paul is the only guitar in history to ever have customs off of it, no other signature guitar on the planet can be changed to a persons specs like jimmy pages customs is a jimmy page signature les paul signature guitar lol, no other guitar has ever had that like you cant take a randy rhodes signature V and change it because its no longer a randy rhodes signature.

  • @JoeGuitarGuy You sure about that? Les actually did have a couple of signature models at Gibson over the years but generally speaking, when you say "Les Paul" you're just talking about that single-cutaway body style, etc. that everyone recognizes as a model/spec...not so much an artist endorsement.. You don't say a "Rhodes" and think of a flying V do you? Or a "Johnson" and think of a strat-type guitar...

  • @moucon well there's no thought about it, the les paul, shape, name, and everything is his signature guitar, so even generally speaking when you say Les Paul weither you're thinking it or not you're talking about his signature model because every single les paul ever made on this planet now, then, and in the future are all customizations of his signature gibson, hell even his signature is on every single one, his signature is on jimmy's, slash's, zakk's, all of them. they ARE his.

  • @JoeGuitarGuy yea...I have never otten why so many people like eric clapton at all...now eric johnson I understand why people lik him or satch...but claption?!?!?1 I dont get it?

  • @igknightus it was all about the generation man, Eric was a very talented artist, not so much known for his skill on a guitar as much as his songwriting and lyrics, see back in his day people werent as obsessed with solos as they are now, back then it was all about how the lyrics made you feel and the idea of song itself, today everyone is looking for the legato and epic solos, music itself hasn't changed much, but what people look for in music definitely has, does that kind answer you man?

  • @JoeGuitarGuy Huh? Clapton is (he's not dead) a bluesman first... songwriter second. He brought a lot of the black delta blues playing into the amplified era... he's a great player. You're right about one thing - it's generational. Satriani et al had to start somewhere. Jimmy Page is a slop-master compared to the technicians playing today... but without him/ Claption/Beck et al there's no evolution.

  • @moucon what i was saying was clapton isn't really known in the world for his ability to play, however amazingly talented he is, but he is known for his compositions like Layla and Cocaine or Tears In Heaven, which although his playing was stunning in the 3, the ideas and lyrics of the songs are what stuck with the people that first heard it, not the licks n riffs. but im not saying in anyway that he isnt a good guitarist. Eric is a phenomenal player, but it's not what he's so recognized for.

  • @igknightus maybe because he is one of the best blues players ever.

  • @igknightus Are you kiddng? Just because he's not a "shredder" ? Go back and listen to Cream... or the Yardbirds.... Clapton pioneered a style and influenced thousands... make that hundreds of thousands... of players who came after him. Take him out of the picture and you have a very different music industry today.

  • @moucon mah...dont really care for him...i have looked back that far already...jimmi page and clapton played togeather and i do like sunshine of your love...but not a big clapton fan...sorry.

  • @igknightus Check the album: John Mayall and The Bluesbreakers. I myself am not a fan of Clarpton, but back in '66 that tone was incredible. Les Paul through a Marshall. Check it.

  • @wasup23tube Bc rich is THE worst guitar brand out there i mean all the bands who use BC rich guitars only use the bodies even Kerry King has the bridge, pickups, nut, and tuners replaced, it's quite pathetic how horrible bc bitch guitars are.

  • @ScreamingBloodyGore I play metal on that guitar all the time. Love it. Get some great heavy rhythm sounds with it. The Ibanez S series is my favorite for metal though. Even tops the RG series IMO.

  • Wow.. Is it me.. Or is it like it's only got one sound to produce? (Besides the clean and dirty channel in the end?) =/

  • wanna scoop it more

  • Sounds good for 80's metal and modern rock.

  • @themodernguitarist Sounds good for XXI century metal and non-british alike punk-rock. Add a FX rack to sharpen your distortion and then tell me that sound isn't great and a very, very well defined GUITAR sound [...]

  • looks expenisve

  • @MetalMonsterGuitar

    $1500-$1800, my friend.

  • This amp sounds pretty bad but it sure has some nice gain.

  • @domdabombabc well, he is playing an epiphone, not a gibson.

  • @foolintherain100 epiphones are just as nice man, specially those customs

  • @metelegerald yeah, i guess, good point.

  • @metelegerald if u ask me Epiphones are better cuz they sound and play Very much like Gibsons but they wont put you in Debt. plus Epiphone does alot of cool runs of guitars like the Goth series and the Prophecy Series

  • @Crazymofoinamajikbox

Gibson also does goth and Gibson also has a Diablo SG

  • @metelegerald not just as nice but still really nice

  • Nice playing, Paul!!!

  • definately for metal if it doesnt have a cleab channel

  • Good amp!

  • AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH...... idk

  • even clean sounds dirty xD awesome amp for the ones who want to play metal

  • @filrocklove it sounds nice :D a bit in a nice twangy sort of way. bet this costs a bomb :( i would love to get one

  • damn paul u definately your fretboard...awesome jam and great review as always

  • @ptdatnurpipensmkit you definitely don't know how to spell

  • @kitsune10000 grammar police strikes again

  • @kitsune10000 ur definately a trollin little bitch ass faggot HAHAHAHAHAAHAHHAHAHAAHAHAHAhH....no but seriously who cares cuz paul def nose his fretboard
