  • Same collar on my Min Pin too! That is so funny....they think they are so tough!!!

  • Lol my mini pin looks just like yours and, I bought a little spiked collar that I'm giving to him this Christmas. I thought it would be appropriate, because he thinks he's the baddest thing on 4 legs.

  • got off the tit too soon. thats why they do this... its also an action of missing mommy and no titty

  • My pinscher does the same thing hehe :D Pinscher type thing

  • That is EXACTLY what Murphy does!! I have been trying to figure out why he does that for over a year now! Thanks for the post pamcfall58; I am really excited that now I know why

  • This behavior is sometimes indicative of having been weaned too soon. It's a self-soothing behavior that mimics nursing from their mothers. As they nurse, they use their paws to knead their mothers nipples to get more milk. Since nursing is so pleasurable, they replicate that by sometimes sucking and/or kneading on soft objects. I love my Min Pin, they are the sweetest dog I've ever had!

  • I agree. My Granddad had a Pomeranian that lied on its side and did the same thing with an old Fozzy Bear doll we gave him. He would also put his front paws together, lick them, and then wash his face like a cat. I had never seen anything like it before.

  • My min pin does that too! especially when he is really sleepy

  • haha i have the same collar for my min pin

  • this must be a 'min pin' type thing. my neighbor's min pin does the same thing with toys.
