  • sheikra and griffon are pretty good ;P

  • I've been on it like... 20 times about :3 it never gets boring neither do the other rides... except for Dark Kastle... XD

  • i love bush gardens both tampa and williamsburg and been to both. but i would like to know what is the name of the song and who does it

  • Foo Fighters - All My life

  • this ride is awesome

  • this ride's first drop is without a doubt straight down concidering the second drop is about 83 degrees

  • People. If you ride it, you will know that its 90 degrees.

I rode it about a week ago, its goes straiiightt down.

  • i was there when they tested it! i have a video if it, maybe ill post it sometime.

  • this is the most awesome ride in the entire world! this is a great vid too. me and my dad luv it!

  • The guy at the end makes this video, he's the only reason i watch it.

  • yea TAMPA HAS THE BETTER ROLLER COASTERS

  • ..As if.

  • u got that right

  • who are you talking to?

  • They don't claim for it to be an EXACT 90 degree drop... it's not that serious people. Geesh, LOL!!!

  • i rode it last sunday and yesterdasy the first day it came out

  • this is just like sheikra at the other busch gardens

  • exactly I live in tampa and this is the same thing basically just a lil different at the end and like 1 foot higher LAME that bg is gonna start making almost the exact same roll coasters

  • Aren't they both Busch Gardens? Why make totally different coasters?

  • What are you talking about? Some people live closer to Williamsburg than Tampa. Besides, this ride is definitely not lame. I went on it twice in a day.

  • It opens tomorrow!

  • They Should build one on the moon (just like this one) n call it 'MoonRide'. (; Btw if Y'ALL Luv Spectacularly Beautiful & Natural landscape sceneries; White Sandy Beaches, Invitingly Clear Blue waters, Exotic Tropical Islands, Majestic Blue Mountains & flowing Rivers, Golden sunshines & Beautiful Sunsets, coupled with relaxing & Beautiful Music ♪♫♪♫ , come on over to my Humble Channel (Welcome!) Have a nice day Y'ALL! PEACE (;
  • I got to ride it 17 times today as part of media day. It is the most unbelievable coaster I have ever ridden as well as the one of the smoothest as well. The view from the front row is awesome, but the outside seats are great as well.

They have 3 trains with one more on the way, so hopefully the lines won't be too bad. But even if they are, it WILL be worth the wait.

    Great job, Busch Gardens!!!

  • U GUYS Got to ride it sunday too? I was in virginia for a compitition for orchestra and the ride opened early tHAT Day because our bus driver Dave begged them to open it. So thank him! The ride was freaking awesome! It was so scary when they dangle u over the edge then they just shoot u down!

  • Yep. You must have been there for those band/choral competitions they had going on friday/saturday/sunday. Lots of blue, green, red, and yellow school shirts all over the park!

  • I rode it sunday and waited in a line all of 15 minutes. It loads very quickly.

  • I rode it yesterday. DEFINANTLY the *best* roller coaster at Busch Gardens Europe. I loved every bit of it. The ride is sooooo smooth and not one bit jerky. The hang time at the top of the 90 degree drop is amazing, people were screaming in fright. I have pics and video to prove it was running with people on it. I rode it more than once, and wanted more.

  • I rode this today! It was awesome.

  • it actually opened today to guest fo the whole day

but it was'nt suppose to , so get there hopefully next week and you might get on it

  • my sister rode this on employee day.. 10 times.. on all angles of it..front.. and back.. and.. well.. you get the point

  • my girlriend is an employee there and has ridden it. she loves it.

  • Why are you arguing with me over the internet? I really don't care, and I don't think anyone else here cares. All I did was answer someone's question about why they couldn't ride it was it was finished earlier in the year.

    Thanks.

  • I bet CoasterDude101 is a BGE employee. Park employees have already gotten a chance to ride it. I know an emplyee there and found out from him.

  • I meant joker67 is and employee.

  • Yea park employees have been able to ride the ride already :] And it's a great ride.. If you can sit in the front I recommend it. It's an amazing view! and a great ride!

  • Yeah because why WOULDN'T you test something made of steel, nuts and bolts? I just can't figure it out...

  • WOW!!! just rode this ride today! Once in the back and once in the front.. AMAZING... The view is crazy!!

  • it opeans the 25 shit head

  • looks exactly like the shiekra in busch gardens florida

  • There are many differences and upgrades on Griffon including two Immemelan Loops and a 90 degree drop.

  • k if u are talking about differences between sheikra and griffon then your an idoit. Sheikra has a 90 degree drop, in fact, it has 2!!! this only has one and another drop that is like 70 degrees. your right though, this does have 2 immemelan loops. But sheikra is my fav cuz it drops vertical for the second into an underground pit.

  • SheiKra's second drop is only 81 degrees and Griffon's second drop is 87 degrees. Get the facts straight.

  • k it might not be a true 90 but it is actually 87!

  • No it's not, check the roller coaster data base. IT'S 81!!!

  • I thought it was 85 degrees

  • its not the shiekra and if you didn't know the name you probobly dont now what the diffrences are.

it looks a lot faster than I aticipated.

  • i just went to bucsh gardens Euro. and that ride was going to open the next week. i was so pissed

  • droop bebining? u baby

  • i cant wait to go to busch gardens! i dont care if the lines 5 hours long.......and i dont doubt it will be that long.

  • This ride's going to be sweet

  • Agreed *-*

  • I heard about the Griffon. This is a cool video of the Griffons testing

  • OMG!! BGE is gonna be so packed this year... think 'bout it: The fun card ($54.95 for the entire year), Jamestown 400th anniversary, and finally Griffon. I refuse to wait 6 hours to ride it.... I'll wait 1 or 2 weeks.. lol

  • I've never liked how Busch likes to use the Tampa park (my home park) for the first ride, then builds a better one in Williamsburg. Ex. Python<Loch Ness

Griffon>Sheikra, they get Big Bad Wolf, we get jack. They get Apollo's chariot, we get Gwazi. Get the idea? Oh well, we've still got the best Howl o Scream!

  • HAHA in yer face... lol.. j/k

  • i saw them testing...ridden everything! except that, saw them testing and was like...why do we have to wait 2 more months?!

  • You know how nice BGE looks, theres still alot of work to be done theming wise... Restaurants, Stores, Ride Scenery, Viewing area for the splash zone... the list goes on.

  • i cant fucking wait till this ride opens WHOOOOOOOO I LOVE IT

  • Opening day at SheiKra was a 5 hour wait. So expect that, on the only dive coaster in that region.

  • acutally, theres a dive coaster at kings dominion and has been for a while now.

  • hey trisotter: that launch coaster at kings dominion is definatily NOT at dive coaster. A dive coaster is a special type of vertical drop ride manufactured by B&M. The one at kings dominion is a generic air launch coaster. coasters like dragster, kingda ka, X, exc. have vertical drops, but still aren't dive coasters.

  • WTF, this is almost exactly like SheiKra in Busch Gardens Tampa. same height, same water effect, same loop design, and two verticals. Though this one has an extra loop, which is cool!!!!

  • It's not teh same height the 90. Degree Drop is 5 feet Taller

  • It's five fucken feet, who gives a shit. after the 200 foot no one can tell the difference!!!!!

  • The second drop is not a true vertical drop.

  • I'm on my way there in July and I'm so freakin' excited...hell I've never ridden Alpengeist for that matter!

  • I cant wait untill opening day. Griffon will be able to accomadate LOTS of people so then that'll probably mean shorter-then-normal lines (except the fact that it is the all most most popular ride in construction). Cant wait!!!

  • employees get to ride it May 1st.

  • any roller coaster fan would know how to spell roller coaster.

  • its all true, so we have to wait ive got no porblem waitin for it but boy it looks GOOD

  • I don't see why they can't open it earlier thats so dumb we gotta wait till May 25th They can landscape while i ride it.

  • They did that with SheiKra to meet the opening day of Kingda Ka, later that month KK went down for a month.

It was cool to see the different stages of "development" around the SheiKra area.

  • They have to test it for a month or two straight, actually. That's why it's not opening until May. Also they have to get enough staff members on hand to run it and handle the extra people. Reason 3: Marketing and advertising will have time to set in. Reason 4: They run it over and over and get stats on it to make sure it's running at the right speeds. Reason 5: They run it over and over to ensure that all nuts and bolts, and steel pieces are holding up correctly.

    Enough reasoning for ya? XD

  • GREAT JOB FERGUSONAT! I couldn't download the mov version so it's great that I can see Griffon testing on youtube!
