exactly I live in tampa and this is the same thing basically just a lil different at the end and like 1 foot higher LAME that bg is gonna start making almost the exact same roll coasters
What are you talking about? Some people live closer to Williamsburg than Tampa. Besides, this ride is definitely not lame. I went on it twice in a day.
They Should build one on the moon (just like this one) n call it 'MoonRide'. (; Btw if Y'ALL Luv Spectacularly Beautiful & Natural landscape sceneries; White Sandy Beaches, Invitingly Clear Blue waters, Exotic Tropical Islands, Majestic Blue Mountains & flowing Rivers, Golden sunshines & Beautiful Sunsets, coupled with relaxing & Beautiful Music ♪♫♪♫ , come on over to my Humble Channel (Welcome!) Have a nice day Y'ALL! PEACE (;
I got to ride it 17 times today as part of media day. It is the most unbelievable coaster I have ever ridden as well as the one of the smoothest as well. The view from the front row is awesome, but the outside seats are great as well.
They have 3 trains with one more on the way, so hopefully the lines won't be too bad. But even if they are, it WILL be worth the wait.
U GUYS Got to ride it sunday too? I was in virginia for a compitition for orchestra and the ride opened early tHAT Day because our bus driver Dave begged them to open it. So thank him! The ride was freaking awesome! It was so scary when they dangle u over the edge then they just shoot u down!
Yep. You must have been there for those band/choral competitions they had going on friday/saturday/sunday. Lots of blue, green, red, and yellow school shirts all over the park!
I rode it yesterday. DEFINANTLY the *best* roller coaster at Busch Gardens Europe. I loved every bit of it. The ride is sooooo smooth and not one bit jerky. The hang time at the top of the 90 degree drop is amazing, people were screaming in fright. I have pics and video to prove it was running with people on it. I rode it more than once, and wanted more.
Why are you arguing with me over the internet? I really don't care, and I don't think anyone else here cares. All I did was answer someone's question about why they couldn't ride it was it was finished earlier in the year.
Yea park employees have been able to ride the ride already :] And it's a great ride.. If you can sit in the front I recommend it. It's an amazing view! and a great ride!
k if u are talking about differences between sheikra and griffon then your an idoit. Sheikra has a 90 degree drop, in fact, it has 2!!! this only has one and another drop that is like 70 degrees. your right though, this does have 2 immemelan loops. But sheikra is my fav cuz it drops vertical for the second into an underground pit.
OMG!! BGE is gonna be so packed this year... think 'bout it: The fun card ($54.95 for the entire year), Jamestown 400th anniversary, and finally Griffon. I refuse to wait 6 hours to ride it.... I'll wait 1 or 2 weeks.. lol
I've never liked how Busch likes to use the Tampa park (my home park) for the first ride, then builds a better one in Williamsburg. Ex. Python<Loch Ness
Griffon>Sheikra, they get Big Bad Wolf, we get jack. They get Apollo's chariot, we get Gwazi. Get the idea? Oh well, we've still got the best Howl o Scream!
You know how nice BGE looks, theres still alot of work to be done theming wise... Restaurants, Stores, Ride Scenery, Viewing area for the splash zone... the list goes on.
hey trisotter: that launch coaster at kings dominion is definatily NOT at dive coaster. A dive coaster is a special type of vertical drop ride manufactured by B&M. The one at kings dominion is a generic air launch coaster. coasters like dragster, kingda ka, X, exc. have vertical drops, but still aren't dive coasters.
WTF, this is almost exactly like SheiKra in Busch Gardens Tampa. same height, same water effect, same loop design, and two verticals. Though this one has an extra loop, which is cool!!!!
I cant wait untill opening day. Griffon will be able to accomadate LOTS of people so then that'll probably mean shorter-then-normal lines (except the fact that it is the all most most popular ride in construction). Cant wait!!!
They have to test it for a month or two straight, actually. That's why it's not opening until May. Also they have to get enough staff members on hand to run it and handle the extra people. Reason 3: Marketing and advertising will have time to set in. Reason 4: They run it over and over and get stats on it to make sure it's running at the right speeds. Reason 5: They run it over and over to ensure that all nuts and bolts, and steel pieces are holding up correctly.
sheikra and griffon are pretty good ;P

There are many differences and upgrades on Griffon including two Immemelan Loops and a 90 degree drop.

SheiKra's second drop is only 81 degrees and Griffon's second drop is 87 degrees. Get the facts straight.
tvnewsguy42 4 years ago
k it might not be a true 90 but it is actually 87!

No it's not, check the roller coaster data base. IT'S 81!!!

They did that with SheiKra to meet the opening day of Kingda Ka, later that month KK went down for a month.
It was cool to see the different stages of "development" around the SheiKra area.
