so if you'll be great swimmer we'll see, but now you can stop it for every reason. Good luck!

  • i'm just 0.5 sec faster then 15yo girle :D

  • phew, that commentator has a sexy voice.

  • Oh dear, I remember when I was 15 I swam 200 IM, my time wasn't that bad 2:17 something (LC).After the race I went up to my coach to learn my split times and get some feedback etc.Everything other than breastroke was pretty reasonable (fly 28, back 33, free 30) but the shock came when my coach started laughing like a maniac, as anybody can tell my 50 breast was 46.

    46!!!

I hold bloody national records in fly and fs but when it comes to br my best ever is 37 (50 br SC) at a time trial.

    FML.

  • @miellikkiful yearh, my is a bit of the same, but my breast is like 48, and I have been going like 42 for 6 months ago ;-(( im trying and im trying..

  • @miellikkiful you hold national records?

  • @jonnym331 Yup, but Turkish so it's no big deal. (- . -)'

  • @miellikkiful how often did you train haha, im looking to see what it takes

  • im 10 seconds slower than them -___-;;;;

  • oh my god

  • it looks like shes kicking fly esp towards the end

  • @rideonwater2 thats what you have to do its right

  • @XspaceGraphicTuts haha.. i know

i wish i could swim breast like that =0

  • I did a 31.00 last Thursday. I've never seen anyone swim at that pace. It's insane.

  • dang, she doesnt glide at all.

  • I have a 32.50 and I'm only 14... And I dont' usually win either... :P

  • lol i got ahh 33.41 seconds in 25meter pool 50meters breast stroke its kinda hard well you should master the fast turn over fak its hard

  • My friend goes a 30 in short course yards for a 50 breast and shes only 14

  • I hit 29.78 nikkas!!

    Representing orange county!!

  • wow, i'm 11 and my time is 40.2

  • my best mate is 15 and goes 31.4

  • @dylanfahey In meters or yards?

  • @VioletTeen17 50 meters

  • btw im 34.66 now =D

  • @alboxk14 Dont get to cocky breastrock gets tricky as you get older

  • im 15 this is my first year swimming and my 50 breast is 36.56 is that good for my first year i just turnd 15 im freshmen

  • @alboxk14 dont look at it as your first year, your 15, you should be doing under 35

  • @alboxk14 Yeah, thats really good you mean for yards right? Because if your going a 36 in meters then thats just scary fast

  • In the 50 Id say you REALLY have to be relaxed, just push as hard as you can from start to goal but you have to be relaxed and dont stress. Even though its 50 metres you still have to find your grip in the water else you'll end up just tearing the water apart not moving very fast ahead..

  • In the 200s its much about finding your stroke early in the race, let the 50 go by itself, good speed but it shouldnt make you tired really. Then find your pace and try stick to your stroke counts (dont think of em during the race though), practice stroke count alot in training, helps a lot. In the 100 Id say you go almost as hard as you can - around 8/10. And always keep the same pace to stay relaxed and go fast.

  • Ima breaststroker myself and I like all of the events, and even though you are really good at the 200s you can still be good at the 50, the keyword is RELAX. Breaststroke is a stroke that needs you to be relaxed and dont think, if you tense too much you will stress the stroke which brings you becoming tired WAAAY too early.

  • Wow that's amazing. Does anyone have any advice on sprinting like that because my 200 breast is decent, but I can't sprint for my life. Whenever I try to pick up my turnover, my stroke falls apart

  • hi im new to swimming and my main stroke is breast im in 9th grade and my best time is 40 secs for a 50 yard any got any tips

  • I'm actuallly more of a butterflyer, but they key to breaststroke is .. a-your glide -long b-your turns -two hand touch -throw headback and go c-your pulldown -streamline as long as you can (with the exception of 50, although idk how you can be in ninth grade swimming 50's? Normally they cut off at age 12 in AAU and USA) -pull down both arms, count to 3 -after three.. ONE dolphin kick and pulll out Hope this helps, Maddie
  • @SaveTheChildren87

i would say besides the turns, it's more about your stroke timing and how your arms fit in with your leg along with body undulation.

  • Great Swimmer.

  • You shouldn't say anything about her stroke, if you don't actually swim breast stroke well.

I'm one of the top breast strokers on my team. It's not about how the stroke looks, persay, but how fast you can do it.

Breast stroke is all about the kick, the faster you swing your legs back in, the faster you can bring your arms back up and take another stroke.

  • Is it just me or is there a butterfly style to her breaststroke. There is so much up and down movement, i would like to see the underwater shots to see if there is any slight kick involved. As a traditionalist i dont like the style but it obviously works, it just may cross the barrier to being legal one day.

  • it doesn't matter what race you're doing, your first 50 will always be fast if you push it or not. my coach told me to take out my 200m breast at 50 percent and i still took it out in a low 32. if you try to hard on the first 50 or 25, you'll end up forcing it and choke.

  • This is in short course meters right?

  • I don't think anyone else in the world except for the USA swims yards.

  • true, i drew a blank there haha

  • Nothing lucky about the hat... Awesome swim, just look at the undulating stroke.. Breastfly?

  • She does have a peculiar stroke -- breastfly is an appropriate description. And since she just broke the world record today in the 50M breaststroke, it does sort of beg the question is this an authentic stroke or not?

  • How did you find out about this ? And what time did she go ??

  • jeez when i used to swim at about 15 i got down to like 32 -33 (im a guy), and this girl just embarasses me, shes spectacular! I hope she goes somewhere in life with this, i know she will!

  • I am 15 and i go 34.43 as my 50!

but my 100 sucks! I go 1:15! Any

suggestions on how to help with that?

  • try to keep ur stroke long, you really need to make sure you keep the same hand speed, or you will get more tired as you quicken your stroke, even though you feel like it may make you go faster

  • dont let urself get tired, and dont save up. sprint the first 50 on around 34 and try to maintain that. I would disagree with

Ibm4n, i think u should quicken the tempo as u get more tired because your kicks are what enable u to glide longer and as u get tired ur kicks become weaker. some ppl may think otherwise, but that method works really well for me.

  • I'm slightly more of an upper body person so my pull usually weakens before my legs.

  • the only 50 i have is a split time 4 mii 100 so im not sprinting or anything

but that split time is 36 or 38 i think

    and im a freshman

  • umm ..leisel jones time is 30.03 not 30.11 !

  • mine is a 36.99 haha i suck at high stroke rate, i go faster when i glide

  • lol im a 17year old guy and i cant go nearly as fast and ive been always swimming breaststroke..

anyone know what to do with the kick if like the my knee is messed up a lil, the snap kinda hurts

  • make the kick more narrow, i don't know if it will work, but it takes less effort, hope it helps

  • christ, high stroke rate not at all.

  • doubt it

  • right, and i can go a 21 in 50 fly ! :S pffft...liar

  • I suck at breastroke :/

  • I'm 15 years old and I have 38.42 :P

I know, not very good, but 30.80 is very fast :P

  • 38.42 is still really good !! :)

  • ik damn i think i have a 35.14 lol

  • thats crazy...

  • wow..

  • omg shes faster than me and im a guy! still, im 15 but anyway if anyone's interested i do 35.45 for 50 metres breatstroke.

  • HA 30 secs is like 1 and 1/2 lengths!

  • i wish i could swim like that!!!!
