Hey Shanice, I just saw that the legendary Patti Labelle declared at her concert that you should have been as big as Celine Dion, but honestly, I think she meant bigger, because you have the ability to take on the best of both world. You can rival Janet and Madonna as Dance/Pop queens while at the same time challenge the vocal prowess of Celine and Whitney. Shanice fits perfectly within that list of artistes you named, and She and Mimi are the only two whose talents go beyond simply singing, as they also write much of their own songs and for others too. You think Celine and Whitney are better is fine, but I think otherwise because neither Celine nor Whitney has the flexibility or versatility of Shanice. Patti recognised that which is why she boldly said Shanice should have been as big as Celine, who is bigger than Patti in terms of sales figures. Janet is a great dancer, but it's not as if Shanice music is like Janet, just that she could take her on. Every whistler has their own sound, I doubt Shanice has given us her all.

@Seetdeh how exactly is shanice versatile? shanice has been singing for over 20 years so i think she has given us her all by now. and i'm sorry but she's not the best artist. the majority of her songs are bland. whitney and celine not only sing better but they write much better music. madonna and janet dance better and they write better music. shanice's music only reflects whatever the music trend was at the time without adding any personal touch and ends up sounding unoriginal and dated.

Which is why it's HER version I've seen covered by international singer, even Ton has lessen her sombre tone after Shanice rendition. @bconsitt When he told you that I said the G#6 "sounded like" a G#7, what I meant was that the note sounded like a 7th octave note because of the piercing quality, something he doesn't understand.

For those of you who are not familiar with FULL HEAD whistle tone 1:50 is it and thats the difference between how she does it and how Mariah does it not to say one is better then the other but Shanice's whistle tone is MUCH harder to do Mariah's (altho BEAUTIFUL) does it false settle
