  • FAIL PEOPLE ARE FAIL

  • @McBortis i bet there are even more types of dialects than 5, i havent really counted the amount of dialects, but im prety shure there are around 10 dialects. =)

  • and i want that unique quality of life to stay that way, im sick and tired of all the immigrants that are complaining without realising that they get more than they deserve, for crists sake, immigrants gets free homes and money every month without doing anything for it and they are still complaining, they are even getting the opertunity to get a education, but still, they would rather go for criminality and fraud, they chose to come here so if they dont like it they can fuck off!

  • Avoid Europcar, especially in Norway. Thier Customer Service reminded me of the East German service. Never deposit your credit card in their hands.

  • @McBortis

Bokmål, and Nynorsk are the two different written languages in Norway... Riksmål and Høgnorsk is the old way of saying bokmål and Nynorsk. There are also more than 5 Dialects :P

Greetings from one of the Trønders :D

  • what the hell r u guys even arguing abt ...?

  • Looks pretty, but rather boring. Lots of wine sipping and cheese eating. Aren't most of your needs paid for by the government so you don't have much incentives for working hard?

  • @teahouse100 There is something called taxes.

  • @teahouse100 What the hell are you talking about! How can you say there´s lots of wine sipping and cheese eating. Norway is one of the most active countries in the world in sports! Teenagers are usually training at least 2-3 different sports and 4-5 isn´ very unusual. And the government doesn´t pay for our needs ;) We do! we pay taxes to get free healthcare, better quality of life, jobs, 12 months away from work while getting paid when you have a baby, even those who doesn´t have jobs get pay

  • @teahouse100 get your facts straight

  • @teahouse100 And where do you think that money comes from? They tax us pretty hard...

  • @teahouse100 you know, if norwegians thought that way norway would NEVER be as great as it is today, im proud that we norwegians work hard, we have worked hard ever since we were blood thirsty vikings!

  • @teahouse100 yeah and one more thing.

beer is a LOT more populare here in Norway than wine, its not France you know, so dont mix France with Norway, but yeah we drink more wine than the average american, but thats because america is a lot diferent than europe, theres plenty of countries in europe that drinks averagely more wine than norway.

Its prety populare in norway to drink british, german and danish beer, so dont think we are a wine sipping country just because you think it looks like one.

  • Wait.... We have our own website O.o

  • Is this video intended to promote tourism and immigration to Norway? If Norway really is the world's richest country at this time, then presumably they don't really need the tourism as long as the oil, the fish, and the lumber remain plentiful. And certainly there are a lot of people who would prefer to have Norway's population remain Norwegian. Why invite more problems if you can afford not to? Those people who truly desire to see Norway will go there without needing to be prompted.

  • @MagiMysteryTour Tourism is an important thing for local districts and towns across norway, how could more income be unwanted? That being said I really don't think this film is representative of daily life in norway nor of the experiences of a tourist, seems like an exercise in narcicism imo. For tourists the museums or parks, or fjords or other tourists targets would be more relevant.

Representing a country with it's artists, and success stories is elitist even in my opinion and I like elite.

  • @Alexeriks1

    Holy s-

I'm moving to Norway now. /shot shot

  • I'd love to visit Norway someday o/ Though I need to do save quite a bit.

  • @asdfbooi First off, in order for people to understand your message, I will have to grammatically enhance it.

"Too bad Norway will be populated by black people only soon. The black race is taking over the country with their black penises."

Now, time to discuss. First off, why is this a bad thing? You gotta understand that things aren't always what they seem to the normal man without any insight. At first glance, it may seem that they are all a bunch of law breaking maniacs-

  • @GreenrangeRemix Statistically third world immigrants are far more likely to commit crimes, and in my experience only about 2/10 are mentally healthy.

Immigration has gone way too far, admittedly It's good in healthy amounts but i believe that the majority of the population should indeed be the descendants of Norwegian/Swedish/Dutch/whatever people, who created and defined the culture and traditions of that particular country.

  • @Arnebananlolo I don't agree with that thinking for the following reason: You say the majority of the population should be the DESCENDANTS. Why? They didn't create and define the culture and traditions.

(Which have to be justified as good first btw, and as a Norwegian I don't agree that all Norwegian traditions and norms are neccesarily good.)

Basically you are buying into the idea of "inhereted right", which is originally a religious idea. If you are religious then case closed, I'm not.

  • @GreenrangeRemix

how the fuck is it a good thing? niggers ruin everything. I fucking hate niggers. I hate Somalia rapists!

  • @asdfbooi -, however, it is quite the opposite. Racism is a crime today, and as you may have noticed, the term "nigger" is thus not generally accepted by the masses due to it's offensive past. Every day, white people commit crimes of which immigrants would never even think about doing. You would have to look hard to see an immigrant in Norway actually complain about their life situation. On the other hand, people like you still manage to pull this crap straight out your arse-

  • @asdfbooi -To cut the crap and get to the point. You have no clue about what you are talking about, are you? Are you really afraid that the Scandinavian population is going to die out? Why? Afraid of the "perfect race" to be mixed with "dirty blood"? You realize that what you are thinking right now was the very mindset that belonged to a very famous man, even to this day; Hitler, right? Then again, I understand that you are merely a troll on the "internetz".

  • @GreenrangeRemix Are you really in favor of such mass immigration? Am i misinterpreting something or do you think it's a good thing to turn the people who created that culture and country into a tiny minority?

Fuck multiculturalism, whichever culture and people were there first should be dominant.

Also, I'm amazed you wrote 3 replies to that one 12 year old's comment, geez.

  • FLAUT!

  • i have been in norway and it was amazing!

but too many blonde babes lol...

  • @amarria100 well, welcome to NorwayxD

  • @amarria100 Too many blond babes :P ?! Sure you don't mean sweden x ) ?

  • @LFH323 Both Scandinavian countries ^^ They are both known for their blond women, but Norway is more known to be NATURAL blond and have blue eyes :))

  • i think tha producers of the video should also include the most popular norwegian band MADRUGADA.Norway looks like paradise anyway....

  • Norway seem like a very beautiful country and someday I want to visit. :))

  • @RainOrShineFun i live their and its an oppgrade to usa see my videos ps!.

  • I am a Norwegian American who has always loved and supported Norway. I was stunned when I was on the train from Oslo to Bergen and saw spray painted on a train station that we passed "f**k the USA. The majority of people were friendly, but in Oslo, Bergen and Lillehammer, I was laughed at, and heard nasty comments made about me in Norwegian and English. I was shocked! I don't think that I will ever go back again!

  • @xdemmons

I am surprised by your comment. I have never been to Norway myself but why do you think they were making fun of you?? Was it based on race/colour, your accent, your clothes. This is not the idyllic view I have of Norway but like I said i have never been there. Sorry you had such a bad experience.

  • @Delisle4 I was surprised to be treated that way...My mother is Irish and French, my father's side Scandinavian. I have been told before that I look like Tom Selleck, to give you an idea. My clothes seemed to be what set them off.. A Colombia jacket, Levis jeans, Nike sneakers and a Boston Red Sox ballcap. My cousin from Oslo thought they might think my ballcap was funny, but they sell them there and I saw others wearing them. If they didn't like it, Is that a reason to be rude?

  • @xdemmons

Wow, that is really sad to hear. It seems that the style of dress is what set people off. How do people dress in Norway?? Is it really that different?? You are right, if you do not like the way a person is dressed just keep walking by, why make the effort to be rude. Makes no sense?!?

  • @Delisle4 They were into Banana Republic or Express type of clothing, and everyone wore black coats. Some men wore bright red pants and little scarves around their necks that you wouldn't catch most straight American men wearing. I heard the comment "oh it's a rock and roller" made in a sarcastic tone from some college age dudes. Young girls, high school and college age made the most repulsive attacks, laughing hysterically. This is not the same Norway that my family left years ago.

  • @xdemmons

This is nuts!! If you were talking about some small hickville in the Old South, I would not have even responded to your comment but Norway!?!? What the hell happened?? What do you think has caused this change?!

  • @Delisle4 It makes no sense to me, and left me a little shocked to be truthful. The majority of Norway's population is polite and well mannered, but I was treated rudely 7 different times in 7 days. Like Madonna said once, "you can get 1,000 fan letters and it is the one piece of hate mail that you remember." I won't condemn a whole country for my experience, but I don't think that I would ever return.

  • @xdemmons Im sorry you had to have such a shitty expierience in norway, some norwegians can be really small minded :( but I hope you were able to gain som good experiences from your trip as well :)

  • @NorwegianStory Thanks for saying that, you are the first one to even acknowledge what happened. Overall I had good experiences...My family in Lillehammer is very friendly and welcomed me there with both arms. My cousin Tom in Oslo stood on his head to make it a nice trip. The scenery was beautiful and the majority of people nice. It just took being laughed at or have comments made about you to lose focus on what you came there for. unfortunate.

  • What is the name of the song at 0:20 - 1:00? And who is the singer? I like the song!

  • @CountryCollection87 I don't know for sure, but I'd guessed a song by Mari Boine, the woman viewed at 0:26. Left hand upper corner.

  • I love the video. My daughter lives in Oslo with her husband. They just got married and met him in EPCOT. I love my Norwegian son in law. I love the video because now I am more familiarized with is culture.

  • Man you portray us as something like eskimoes...

  • just legalize pot and this will be the best place to live in the world.

  • @Thomash89

We got a history of hard drinking. We would probably get more healthier if we had legalized it, but no such debate is ongoing atm unfortunately.

  • iv meet lots of people from norway and they all tell me its not cheep to live there ...but it seems like a lovely place ...

  • @leemeires true, our capital city, Oslo. is the most expencive place in the world (fact)

  • @NorwegianStory yer im a brit but iv lived in thailand 6 years england so expencive as well thats why i live here its so cheep ......

  • Someday I will see the midnight sun !!! Algún día veré el sol de medianoche !!!

    A Colombian.

  • Man you can't get anymore peaceful than this country

Damn humans are violent by nature how do norwegians tend to stay peaceful and rich I dont understand

  • @snajamh It's not that peaceful now that we have naively imported too many muslims to our country.

  • @snajamh we have oil that we own. we dont need to bomb contrys to get oil. :P

    i am from norway btw

  • @shaitshait123

    lol........ thats great

    I really admire your country

  • @snajamh thanks man i admire my contry too :P Where you from. i think i am going to studi in america a few years from now

  • @shaitshait123 you're telling lies, look for the article in Aftenposten and you will see that Norway bombed Lybia recently and made lots of profits on the Libya crisis. Norwegians, take your fucking mask off! enough of these lies about better country, bla, bla. Enough is enough. Norwegians are the most arrogant people in the world. They're brainwashed by their government into thinking that their country is the best. One day oil will end

  • @vergettigrego dont like my goverment either i am like a peace man. they say it works but it really dont

  • @vergettigrego True, We norwegians are to naive . . .When the oil is no more, well then you know whats gonna happend!

  • @snajamh It`s easy humans is not violent in nature,.but you can be manipulated to think so,.then it leads to fear,.and when people are afraid they do annything to feel safe,.and then they sign there rights away,.Im seeing that in america now,.if you ask a question ageinst something be it poletics or schools and you are a terorist! It breaks my haert to see america faling in to a police state,.Wake up America. You are being manipulated by the forces that JFK warned you about,.Peace and love fromN

  • @Dukenable These forced are far to dominant and powerful in the world society. Capitalism is great for many purposes, but in the big picture it's a banker's market. At least the one we see today. I'm though happy to see more and more enlightenment troughout the world of internet.

I'm glad we have a independent and public owned central bank in Norway! That's the key to democratic capitalism.

  • I love my country.<3

  • Cold...dark...expensive...boring....cold...did I mention cold?

  • @janet928 ..... ???? are you sure you been to Norway ? if so you must have had your eyes closed ....

  • @janet928 lol sounds like fun except expensive

  • @Alexeriks1 because you should be able to live off your sallery, and if it's not so you can live off it (up to the standards of Norway) it's underpayment. But there is no law stating a minimum wage only agreements within' the organizations.

  • @Alexeriks1 the minimum wage does not exist within the law but within agreements from LO. So you have to be organized for it to apply to you. So no, there is no minimum wage in Norway unless you are organized and a lot aren't.

  • @Alexeriks1 considering 33% tax and the sick high prices in Norway it's not too bad with 1000 dollars in America, but I agree, we live great due to our tax system.. Schools, healthcare etc.

  • @Alexeriks1 despite your good education you should know that there is no minimum wage in Norway, lol. But everything under 100kr is unacceptable if you're over 18, at least should be.

  • @Alexeriks1 No, no, it's not 7500 - 8000$ a month, are you freakin crazy? Divide it by 2 and you'll get an average number.

  • The following is a COMPLETE lie:

Norway is strongly committed to promoting peace and participate in international peace efforts on many levels.

  • Except for the subjective artistic ideals and poetic licens of the commentators opinion of Norway (mostly at the end), it was very good informationell video. Thank you.

    ~Olav Norseman

  • Bra video! Den kan gi mye kunnskap til folk som ikke vet så mye om Norge :)

  • HOLMENKOLLMEN

  • if you are going to Norway go to Trondheim <33

  • vikings are BADASS. Norway is a model country

  • Truthfully, I've been thinking about leaving America for about 5 years now and am seriously considering one of the Scandinavian countries.

I wonder what the immigration requirements are... Off-topic question; How does the average citizen benefit from Norway's oil exportation? More funding for schools/universities, public transport, etc? How does it work?

  • @xRawlins

Norway has good public transport compared to lot of the states of the US. There are buses all over the country, and both trains and airplanes can take you from Kristiansand to Honningsvåg.

  • @xRawlins First and foremost, any immigrant to Norway is required to learn the Norwegian (Bokmål) language. You, as an american does however have the advantage that most norwegians understand english and speak it too. A high education is also a really good shoe-in, then again, we do certainly have colleges and universities where you can get that anyway. As far as beraucracy goes, i dont know the exact thing you have to do.

  • When I leave America, I'll be going to Norway.

If they'll have me. D: They seem elite.

  • Norway i'm coming!!!!!!!

  • Bourge aausslandd XD haha

  • I love Norway! country of Óðinn!

  • Man, actually I agree with you. The grammar is hard (I think German is worse, but that is probably because I'm Norwegian.) I, as a Norwegian, often thinks it's hard to understand some of the dialects in this country. And I think it's stupid that we should have 2 official written languages. It's hard to learn, and I don't WANT to learn to write it anyway-.-

But, beside that, I'm proud of being Norwegian. I love my country! (But it would be great if the winter wasn't that cold and long -.-)

  • Omg people are just jealous because we are so fucking rich! :P

Stop spamming shitt about our country! I beelieve that ure guys that are spamming, you are from africa or whatever

  • @Tstorma There are about 5.5 million inhabitants in Denmark, and Norway had a high standard of living 30 years ago too. Check ur facts ^^

  • @Tstorma it amazes me how little you know:)

  • @snusabo what about africa ?

  • @snusabo Oh cmon no one ever complains about ur country because their argument is invalid <3

    Cheers from Mexico.

  • No tahx!!!

  • I could use some global warming up here in northern norway! it's -27 degrees outside! -.-

  • u mean -27 celcius.. its a big diffrence

  • @Manglelapp Hey man, You got to remember that 2/3 of youtube use farenhet and -27 degress celcius equals about - 32 farenhet. Sincerly a Norwegian viking living in the United States

  • Awesome, great view into the norwegian culture, was afraid it was going to be 5 minutes of raindeers in the begining there but.. :)

  • if you like city lives move to, ''Oslo'' ore ''bergen''

but if you are an country person, move to Northern-Norway

  • norway is the best contry to live in. its not hard to get a job .the most popular job is oil i think

  • nope.. (:

there isn't many who wants to work in the oil industry, i'm afraid.. at least not norwegians, even if people comes from other country to work with oil here..^^'

norway is as any other country, i think.. when is comes to work, that is..

and i think that regular office work is as popular as any other place in the world.. ^^'

  • Now i'm living in Italy....i would like to go to live in another country ...for example Norway.....

Could someone tell me(people who live in norway...)it's hard to find a job ?what's the most popular job, some information)

Thank's a lot to that person who will help me)

    sorry for my english:-/ (((((

  • yyyeeeeeaaaahhhhh noorwayyy

    Regards,

    MFANorway

  • @Linnlinn92 you could download it with kickyoutube or youtube downloader. Just google ''download youtube videoes''

  • If immigrants keep coming , there will be no more huge fat wages in the near future :D

Oslo is full of africans, arabs and other asians... :|

  • i meant norwegians

  • @dangermous1968 Exactly!

  • @dangermous1968 most vikings where traders.

  • @dangermous1968

I don't think you are wrong. Many who are involved in the UFO/Alien movement talk of how the Pleidians settled in Sweden and Norway and still live there today. One more feather in their cap I guess.

  • Possibly the most peaceful place on the world?

  • robertjohnson487:

We norwegians can be kind and peacefull persons, and ofc as there is world wide mean persons. It seems just like you got unlucky and met the wrong persons. So please before you say something like that try to think a bit more. Me personal is verry peacefull when it's about new faces. And i think it's great that people show interest in our country! :)

  • I got a message from robertjhonsen487.

    He said: fuck Norway.

everybody else who have gotten a message like that thumbs up

  • his a troll

  • why all this rage toward Norway?

  • @Piian Just jealousy what else?

  • indeed...

  • Realy, Norway is the only country in Europe that interests me, and I hope to live in Norway one day (I know lots of people say that), but until then I can just watch beautiful videos and dream :)

  • Yes, it's wuite beautiful here :-) I live near Oslo :-)

  • Unfriendly!! Their the most peasfull people in the world. Didn't u hear the part about pease making!?

And please next time u leave such a hatefull comen't, explain why?

  • I love this video. :)

BarracudaBlur, flats and houses are very expensive, especially in Oslo.

  • Hello,

I love this video as much as I love Your country. I'm from Slovakia and in few years I wanna move there. Yet didnt any steps (like language lessons), but I'm looking forward to it.

  • I see stengevarsel is speaking about jobs for these who wanna work, but is this meant only for usual workers, for example like in bars, restaruants, administration, etc? At the moment, I'm studying @ two colleges and wanna go for external postgraduate @ Cambridge. Im studying film production and marketing communication, I would like to do something in marketing agency, mb commercial production, but not exactly film production. What do you think?

  • Every working man coming into your country have free language course? Thats awesome :) What about living? Flats, houses... Are they easy to or are they expensive? Thanks!

  • Barracuda, yes, normally one would associate foreign workers with labour such as construction, etc., especially since workers from your region are willing to work for lower wages due to lower cost of living in your country/area, and also because your region has highly skilled workers.

When competing for jobs in the academic arena, or other areas requiring higher education, this advantage usually disappears, since competition for jobs comes from the entire Schengen area.

  • If your mowing to Norway, welcome :D

What kind for a person are you?

a city person, or like a person like like to live on the country?

If you are a city person i wood sugest Oslo or Bergen. Werry nice places!

If your a country person i suggest Northern-Norway.

ps: In northern norway it is a werry beatifuel northern light!!!!!!!!

  • people just think we norwegians are crazy.....but were not that bad, Its reidiculous how its gotten to the point where nobody can trust us.....LIVE ON FELLOW VIKINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • my impression of norway is that they forcibly sterilize gypsies!

  • Wrong impression. Ever heard of eugenics? Google it. Fun fact: Teddy Roosevelt was a eugenics supporter.

  • That happend in the dark ages of western medicine 50-60 or more years ago.

  • detter så jo bra ut:P

  • As when we were Vikings in Brittain, the munks did not trust a norseman easely.

  • Jeg elsker Norge xD such a beautiful place... and I like Norwegian language and culture, too... think I'm going to study your language at the college :) but, though I really, really, like you very much, I think that I couldnt live in Norway for more of a month or two, just being a kind of tourist. But, yeah, I really like you :) Jeg tror at nordmenn er gode, hilsener fra Serbia

  • Thx, I hope you give a better impression of Serbians than what the common view is in the world. The "secanje's" of genocide and crimes against humanity is still fresh in many peoples mind. You could change your country into the the next Norway. Small steps. Hilsen fra Norge. Lykke til!

  • Times sure are changing and peace will overcome violence. That about crimes is just one side of the Serbia, other, the brighter, is being stronger and stronger every day. Norway is great example, in the early years of 20th century, one of our intellectuals of that time, miss Isidora Sekulic, visited Norway and was writing about hard situation over there (she actually wrote a book called Letters from Norway), and times changed and Norway is one of the best places on Earth now.

  • herregud kor monge rasistiske komentara da va her! skjerp dåkke, norge er ikkje eit rastisk land!

  • Heller rasist en landsforæder.

  • jævla frper...

  • Takk=)

  • @zantokors Enig!

  • I Guess we do rely have it nice over here ^_^

I`m proud to be a Norwegian! Hail from "Fredrikstad"! ;D

  • God dam it, it's cold here!

  • ja, vi elsker dette landet,.im pround of being a norwegian

  • one friend told me that norwegians are very into nationalism. she sayd that they dislike foreigners very mutch :o thats very bad cause i would love to move to norway. Im lithuanian tho

  • That really depends! I'm norwegian, and I don't have anything against foreigners at all! :)

  • Many Norwegian dislikes lithuanian peapole because they do a lot of burglaries i Norway:(

  • but its not fair to judge a man by his nation's deeds :/

  • no, but its easy.

  • Then it is up to that man to prove he is not like his nation.

  • if you mean proving by living an honest life then ok. but its kinda harder when everyone else is prejudise

  • Thats the diffeculty isn`t it, if to many of youre people do bad things you are seen as an kriminal until the opposite is proved.

  • when people are not narrowminded they dont judge one person by the place he was born in

  • If i see someone from Somalia i don`t trust them like i wuld do with an Norwegian. They have to do more to convince me. I don`t call that narrowminded. I call that realety. Something else wuld be naive i think.

  • No but the impression of the majority of that place, I have met a few good, but not many. Just like people in Nambia looked sceptical on me when I was there. Its only natural.

  • Yeah but tell that to the peace and love hippies=D

  • Well said.

  • some are, but you'll always find racists in every country. Most of us are grown up and welcoming to new cultures and people. but sometimes we can get a bit nationalistic :P for example, almost every breathing man or woman in Norway was uptil a few years ago convinced that a norwegian had invented the paper-clip. it was in the dictionary, and we even spread it to other nations! now that most of us know it wasn't true, I must say i'm a little embaressed :P

  • What didnt Norway invent the paper-clip.

    No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

to bad but we still got our chees cutter

  • They exploit us? All the western civilizations are exploiting them! The west controls the world bank, and therefore also the global economical system. We buy recources cheap, and exploit them to make a lot of money here. Because of this, the third world are incapable of gaining a stable economical system. They are poor because of us.
