  • Every time...every time I get chills.

  • So. Here's what I'll be needing: a full week of beautiful summer weather at my cabin by the lake, the trilogy in book form, my best pipe tobacco, my 14" churchwarden pipe, and this full soundtrack. Yep. That'll do.

And the swell at 5:53 made me tear up.

  • WTH. I watched the whole thing once, then I clicked on a video on the side, thinking it was a different video, and I watched it again.

  • There's so much win in this concert/soundtrack/trilogy... its almost unfair.

  • haha I was so into this 8:12 scared the shit out of me.

  • 45:42 - awsome! this gives me the feeling that in the end everything would be fine....

  • who the fuck disliked it, what on earth made them chose to hate it?

  • So fuckin great! Listening to this music makes me feel that I have to get a horse and attack those orks at Pelennor!!! :D

  • @Naruto5367 It's called conducting. He's telling the orchestra the tempo, dynamics, and emotion to use. Why else do you think he would be up there?

  • when was this? *.*

  • So many shivers o_o

  • why does the leader wave his arms like hes on crack

  • @Naruto5367 He's just getting into the music with his conducting. My music teacher does the same thing.

  • @Naruto5367 Thats for the people who are playing the instrument to follow it. they then know when they must play or how high and low.

  • I started falling asleep, then Howard started randomly talking and I was jolted awake.

  • what is the music at 35:10?

  • *Lean back in your chair/sofa/what ever you are sitting in close your eyes and listen*

Tolkien, Howard and Peter all three of you are brilliant!

  • @UchihaTobias98 Thumps up if u agree

  • epic

  • I pity you EpicXsc0pez, I pity you for your ignorance and for the inability to love one of the finest works of all time. The detail woven in the histories, languages, and lands of middle earth is unsurpassed by any. The tales of Arda bear the weight to move men to tears, and hold the earth under their spell. The films spared no time or expense to represent the magnificence of the original, and thus succeeded. Just as professor Tolkien spent his life creating the world that now belongs to so

I have never heard music wich is as expressive as this symphony. It gives me so much power and feelings in the same moment.

Thank you Howard Shore, you're a God!

  • I am sure this is not just great music. If not for the movie we'd probably not even know this music.

  • SO AMAZING.

  • 24:00 Rohan :)

  • trop trop puissant !!!!

  • I wonder why people feel this need to mix so different, ilogical themes =P

  • This music may well be the final clarion call to Western Civilisation to wake up & resist the real Saruman of this world - the Global Financial System- Helms Deep was overrun in 2008 with the planned launching of the Global Financial crisis-the true terrorists that should be brought to justice are the Nazgul Neo Conservative dual-citizen war mongers & their proxy US politicians who are the best government money can buy !

  • @MalThorgan This music is no way a final clarion call to western civilization. It is just one very small piece of impressive music, a piece of Art put together by a very clever composer, like a painting in sound.

  • Haha, they say Mooshoo! 10:10

  • I SO want to learn to play this on my violin! This is ahmayzing! I especially love the lighting of the beacons and the part in the Shire!

  • Es increible, tiene tanta emoción... una total obra maestra!!

  • that kid at 30:00 OH MY GOSH! FREAKIN BRILLIANT!

  • Howard Shure has proved to the world that he is a great composer of music, full of innovations, beauty & drama. It is time he left the films behind & became a true musical composer just imagine what his symphonies, overtures, concertos & operas would be like, as he could push the boundaries of musicology like all the famous masters have done in the past. His name would then live for ever.
