proud of his grand am, GOOD...but dude if you are going to show it on video with thousands of people watching it, you could it at least clean up their body.....by the way mine its a 99 grand am GT and well i got to say.. pontiac rule...good car anyways men..
i love my old grand am my mom blew it up one night so now i found another one and im buying it never dought these little cars theyll open a bag of whop ass the little camaro down the strret found that out
does any1 no where i can get performance parts 4 a 1997 pontiac grand am gt it has a 2.4L twin cam. I cnt find nothing 4 the life of me. That would be cool if any1 could help me out.
Really? I haven't had any problems with this vehicle, it has just over 175 000 kms on it and still going strong... it's over 14 years old and is only starting to show the signs of aging, small things like the gas cap cover pops open once in awhile but nothing serious
Hey thanks, I appreciate that. This is an older video but once again thanks, if you click on my channel, there is the updated version with newer photos.
I love how jawnuhh says they ain't rich... the combined total for those pieces of machinery is probably around 120 000 if not more. That's just modest.
jawnuhh stfu lol, your more like a 16 year old spoiled little brat. At 16, try to get a job and see how long it takes you to buy a grand am. I'm sure his grand am means more to him than your "land rover range rover" because he actually had to work for his. W O R K... look it up.
Hey, I have a grand am. It DOES deserve recognition. I bought mine brand new, in 2001, for less than 15K. It has auto., ABS, DOHC engine 150HP, and four doors. In addition, it has been perfectly reliable. Try getting all that from any other car for that money.
we're not rich, but we have a 2009 chevy suburban, a 2004 bmw z4, a 2005 mini cooper, a 2007 cadillac escalade, and then there's my car which is a 2005 land rover range rover.
my dad's a lawyer. most of your parents probably pump gas if you drive a grand am.
not rich hey, just have this and this and this and this... and ahahaha. AND for your information, my mother has a career in the banking industry and my father is a civil servant, but I worked my ass off until I was able to afford a car with out my parents buying me one, I am sure you got your's for your sixteenth birthday, probably worked as hard as whining that you wanted a vehicle.
haha rofl. you dont know shit jawnuhh. oooh i would love to meet your spoiled rich ass. "we're not rich, but we have a 2009 chevy suburban, a 2004 bmw z4, a 2005 mini cooper, a 2007 cadillac escalade, and then there's my car which is a 2005 land rover range rover" haha ya your dumb. not rich eh? the range rover isnt even your car its your parents. till you buy a car all by yourself then you can talk about something being yours and then you can take pride in what you got.
i love my Pontiac grand am it has some balls and i mean it i raced a 2006 Toyota Tundra and won and also kept up with a turbo charged Chevy HHR now that's some balls there
i have a 95 grand am se 4 door. motor is unknown for series. it is a 3.1litre..... made in jan of 1995.now i had to order a gasket set for series 1&2.$300.00cad.OUCH!!!parked it due to heater core dying.good cars.
nice car. yea i gotta give it 2 the grand ams they are a well built car cheap 2 buy good on gas cheap parts and the power 2 weight is amazing. i have had 2 so far a 94 and a 96. n i loved both of em. n there is a slight problem with the head gasket goin out on em currently have a head gasket goin out on mine but... 3400 heads fit on pretty well and u get a nice performance boost off it so check into that if u need new heads.
Nice car i might be getting a 95 se coupe with the v-6 and am planning modding the engine. There seems to be a problem with the head gasket in most of the 90 grand am has this happened to u where u had to replace the head gasket yet. if so where did u get it from and how much did it cost u
grand am is a very fast car and there are some after market parts you can install like after market headers fuel assembly i got a a 92 Sports edition sports coupe 4 banger w/ a duel overhead cam w/ after market headers, rollerrockers, air induction entire drive train.. cam shaft and allthat,exhust/muff,Fuel Delivery, 5 speed high preformace trans with short shifter it hits 372hp at 7600rpm i also have a 92 celica GT w/ a 3200 turbo exhust
The Interior Brings Back Memories. I was a young teenager back in those days. I used to destroy all of the kids in their Honda Civics. It was so funny to destroying all of my ricer friends.
How many of these morons complaining about American cars did almost no scheduled maintenance. Guess what if you dont change the fuel filter for 100k miles something will break!
nice car i have a 92 4dr 3.3v6 and the 3 speed trans. STOCK it does 0-60 in 5.8 sec and tops out at 138 STOCK! thats faster than any civic or accord (its faster than a basic v8 mustang in a street course)
Yeah sorry, here are the mods: Taylor Racing Wires, Bosch Platinum +4 Racing Technology Plugs, K&N Cold Air Intake, Flowmaster Racing Muffler, MagnaFlow Racing Cat, Dynamic Tuning IAT Sensor, KYB Sports Shocks, Sprint Lowering Springs, Powerslot Slotted Rotors, Kobe 17" on 17" Nexen W Rated, custom interior
grand ams are great cars my 96 grand am se has 236,000 miles and still runs like new always starts first time even at 7 degrees farhenhiet (its a 2.4 liteer 4 cyl) and still pretty fast can blow away import stock
Thats funny my first car was and currently is a 93 Grand Am SE coupe with 82,000 on it. I did not get it from my grandfather, but I did get it from A Grandfather.
so i really liked what you did with your car and video showing it, so i decided to make one really similar to it. wanted the same effect. ha i hope you enjoy watching mine and not mad that i copied it slightly. =/
Thanks, well I have 145 000 kms on it, so that is about around 90 000 miles. This is quite an old video, as there are many more upgrades since then. The suspension is brand new and lowered, exhaust system is redone, the intake system was upgraded...yeah it's a nice car, but just wish I had the cash to really treat her good! Thanks again
i think after the 80's GM and Pontiac kind of lost track of what they should of done with the Grand AM, kinda made it into an every day economy car...that looked like a race car... sure the old 3.1 and 3.4 GT's where alright...but common' ATLEAST drop the 3.8 in there... i wanted Grand Am's to live up to their name
my sis has a 95 in whice she intends on adding some mods of her own... im not a huge fan of those wheels on there but im picky in that sense... other than that though its definetly a pretty grand am. nicely done
i used to have a '94 that was blue-green with all power and v6, it wasn't souped up like that, but i loved that car. especially the dimming lights, too bad i lost it in '96.
i hate to pick on someone else's car, but how could someone like that blue on everything? then again, i'm all about subtle interior modifications, i would've used stainless steel or carbon fibre accents.. throw a GT body kit with front foglamps on there, it'll look times better than with the stock SE body. to each his own.
I would love to all that, but a college student and for every thing I have done since this video and up to this video has costed me money and not "Mommy and Daddy's" money. I have worked my ass off saving for school and for what you see and a few mods since, so I am pretty happy with what I have...thanks for the comment though, appreciate the constructive criticism! Also that is a far future plan also to throw on a GT kit...
NICE grand am my dad died and left me his old one and i just got me a job to start work on it like most ppl all my friends say its junk and it was beat anything but i know as well as im sure you do that with proper fixing up a grand am can beat some of the best the 1st time i drove the car i out run a honda i was wondering if you had any good site where i could order some parts for my car its a 92. by the way your grand am kicks ass dont matter what anyone thinks!
your car looks like a "clown with a disability" got ahold of a can of Kmart spray paint. Go to the junk yard replace all the stuff you ruined, sell the car, move to another state and assume a new identity and never look back cuz in a few years this is going to haunt you!
I think you are the one with the "disability" - Are you blind? I dont know were you think he has "ruined" the car - I actually think it looks better. And if American's werent so fucking irrogant, they would realize that Canada has Provinces, and not States - Fucking dumbass!
They aren't much now but back in the day those cars were nice for there time. the 3.3 v6 had plenty of power to run with and even beat ALOT of cars back in the early 90's.
Great video man. I have an 04 Grand Am myself and IMO they deserve ALOT more attention. Starting to work on mine myself. Good lookin car though my friend!
These cars are overlooked, man. The V6's and quad 4's were faster stock than a shit load of other cars back then. And what about the '85-'91s?? The HO Quad 4s back then had 180hp and did the 1/4 mile in low 15's stock--faster than a lot the camaro z28s, trans ams, and stang gt's back then. It's funny when my little brother's "POS Grand am with 250,000 on it" smokes Preludes, integras, and even some BMWs. ha ha
Stock Fox Body Stang's cracked mid 14's stock. The Z-28 with the 350 T.P.I. was right behind that. The Quad 4 was a good design that was executed poorly. It was hard to get those motors to push high HP and stay reliable.
I said "a lot" not "all." Iroc Zs came with three different v8s, not just 350. Stock GT convertibles automatics did 15.5 or higher. Not really a fair argument anyway since the Quad is a 2.3L and the others in question are 5.0L (4.9) and 5.7L. I mean come on...but I do agree with you about the reliability---my dad's 87 stang gt and my gramp's
88 Lincoln Mark VII LSC both caught on fire in the engine compartment though, so...
I think he meant to say 305 TPI which was a common engine in those older camaros and firebirds. The 305 was SLOW and from what I hear also an unreliable engine - HO quad would smoke it anyday esp in a small car like the GA. I think they also put the 350 in the camaro and that would probably beat a HO quad. 2.8L V6 lol forget about beating anything but a saturn.
Funny you mention the fords catching fire - when I was a kid my parents had a '91 aerostar that whent up in flames as well. Also our van was under the ignition switch fire recall that affected lots of late 80's - early 90's ford/linc/merc cars. Thats when we all switched over to GM and never looked back.
Great vid, but I would have liked to see it actually perform and maybe include more models other than just a walkaround of yours. Thanks for the great idea though, it's really great. :D
proud of his grand am, GOOD...but dude if you are going to show it on video with thousands of people watching it, you could it at least clean up their body.....by the way mine its a 99 grand am GT and well i got to say.. pontiac rule...good car anyways men..

350 T.P.I. right behind??? Aren't they faster? You drive a fox body huh? :) Hey I like those cars alot, but aren't the Camaros quicker with a manual?
white80z 4 years ago
