We called the police many times for his many violations of the restraining order. We got a wide range of reactions from police. Some sympathized with us and others thought we were wasting their time.
@Glovefullavasoline Unfortunately yes. I have a friend with a felony conviction on his record and he had to learn all this when he tried to get a bowhunting tag and a hunting license. About all he can do is get a fishing license.
Also, I had a neighbor boy get arrested for discharging a firearm in the city limits when he was shooting squirrels off a powerline with a BB rifle. He was originally charged with a felony but pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor. He was on probation until he was 18.

@Glovefullavasoline Not in Idaho. Idaho defines a firearm as anything that can propell an object with mechanical, electronic, chemical, compressed air, or magnetic force. Look up the definition in the Idaho statutes. So by definition in Idaho a pellet rifle would be considered a firearm.

A psychologist studied our case file against him and told us to stay away from him. He called him a "dangerous psychopath" but the judge still didn't do much. Two days on work furlough - after all those death threats. This town is a backwater.
Did you report him to the police? Shooting any type of gun, even pellett or BB guns at a person is against the law. he would have been arrested. Even standing out there with a gun making threats is a crime, it's called menacing and punishable by law.
i would take a silenced 22 rifle with a nice 6x / 12x / 24x zoom lens and shoot at him if hes going to do that shit. if the cops aint gonna do anything to him, then hell, would they do anything to you?? think not!

Actually the moron finally moved away. A judge finally looked at all of our evidence (after four years of court appearances...) and decided to through him in jail if he was found guilty in the upcoming trial. The moron decided that moving was a better idea. Our lives have been peaceful ever since.

Did you notice how methodical he was with loading, cocking, placing and firing the weapon. Very methodical, infact he handled the gun the same way exactly everytime, even when placing the gun to fire on the target. You might be dealing with a war vetran. Or someone with rifle training, because he is very smooth with his actions. Make peace with him if posible.
It looks like he was putting the pellet into the barrel, like you said. It definitely worked anyway. Dirt and leaves would fly when he shot within a couple feet of us. And, of course, the cops didn't care or believe us. They thought we were just the other half of the Hatfields and McCoys.
Remedy? Lookup George Hayduke on google!
