  • @MindsClear THANKS so much for taking the time to see this video and for speaking out!

  • Im so sorry.. I know what its like to have a mental disorder. I have social anxiety disorder and it so hard going through life everyday when no one else you associate with knows what its like.

  • @jesssicaaangel jessica I have that as well as my other disorders so I know all too well the pain of that. Trust me when I tell you. please stay in touch and thanks so much for speaking out - Much Love, Miguel!

  • Wow.Very sad.I have heard of stun guns not working in the past. This was the worst outcome I know of as a result.Rest in Peace Papa.Your body of flesh is done but you continue, not only in spirit but in the hearts and minds of those who love you.

  • @timw1959 Tim thanks so much for speaking papa - I appreciate that. Chukwudi's story is a story that has sadly enough been shared by many others in one respect or another. These lives are now coming to life once again via media so that awareness and perhaps over time - change may come to help give a better out come for those who may become symptomatic in public spaces who live with Mental Illness when we are encountered by the police. A thousand thanks for your time and attention!

  • wow this was a very moving tribute for your friend. RIP

  • @meditateORdie thnxs so much. May I ask how did you find my page or this video? Please let me know. Thanks so much!

  • @soymiguelalejandro23

No problem. I was looking through the favorites of someone's page and clicked it thinking it was an upload.

  • @meditateORdie excellent so glad that you stopped by!

  • Rest In Peace Papa x

  • this is true...when its anyone else theyre calling like a thousand cops,or throwing you to the ground or putting their knee in your neck..dont know why they were only holding his arms...and those officers were probably out of shape...as most Nypd officers are lol..RIP chukwudi

  • This is sad to hear that stuff like this happens

  • @bansheeboy1982 It's heartbreaking coz most likely could have been prevented.

  • @soymiguelalejandro23 exactly ,but cops dont use proper procedures all the time.

  • @bansheeboy1982 yes and too many times it costs us our lives.

  • yes sir

  • thats very true. how in the world do they get there in time to help these people?

  • wow. i am not even sure how this got by me that i never saw this on the news. this is sad. but thanks for taking the time to remember him and also to expose the truth about this that people need to see. wow. i am really speechless.

  • @THEMICHAELLONDONSHOW I am grateful that you took the time to learn a bit of him. Every time some one does he lives on even further... May Chukwudi remain in the bosom of the Father always and finally have the rest and peace that he did not have here on earth.

  • Thank you so much for this video. Chucky was a co-worker friend of mine. I appreciate how you've pointed out his many accomplishments. He lived an every day life, had friends, family and knew how to make people laugh. Unfortunately this incident took him to his final resting place, but his life was certainly not in vain. May we all come a step closer to loving each other pass what we don't understand and learn how to help people in their mental reality, not what we consider 'normal'.

  • I'm glad you made this video. Mental illness can happen to anyone at anytime. I like how you described a psychotic break as having a nightmare when you are awake. In a psychotic break a person isn't oriented to time, place or person. This is so sad.

  • @mia0899cs Thanks so much Cindy I know that you are mental illness is a subject that you are passionate about and I wanted to share this story with you. It is so very sad and this was most likely totally preventable. C'mon 4 officers with a man who is in full blown psychosis and he is throwing them around like rag dolls. This was just unbelievable. I am working on a bigger related project. I will send you the filmvideo * a new word I just came up - with as soon as it is completed. Thnks again

  • @mia0899cs I'm sorry my bad typo - I was trying to say that I know that you are passionate about mental illness and those afflicted receiving proper care because of your professional medical background. I really appreciate you watching and commenting. Thanks a million! Hugs, Miguel!:O)

  • Thank you for making this video. I hope you will send it to various mental health groups, because it is a great illustration of the inadequate training police (and society) receive about mental health. Stay strong.

  • @BohemianBirth Graciaa papi. This video is posted now in so many places that I cannot tell you where it is not playing. I am so grateful that others took the message of this video which began as a seed and have

taken and planted it where it is that I could not. My soul yet grieves greatly for this dearly beloved man who lost his life due to no fault of his own - while he was ill and allegedly in the hands of those who are specially trained to help us in times of crisis such as this.

  • I like your statement at the end about becoming a friend to the mentally ill. Because we don't know how one conversation can change a person's whole perspective about ending their life. I agree the NYPD could have handled the situation differently. It's sad that this intelligent young black man took his own life due to his illness. Great dedication video!!!

  • @kooljam05 thanks a million papa. much respect. shame on emergency response services of NYPD however.

they are supposed to be well trained to help us and on several occasions they've KILLED us. Like with this poor boy. It's just awful because this could have totally been prevented. More on this in projects forthcoming...

  • I will say that was sad, looking at this smh

  • @TyrelleNelson It still hurts to this day because it should not have happened to him or any one.

Thanks for reaching out with this comment papa. I appreciate it very much.

  • @soymiguelalejandro23 No prob bruh

  • So sad .. There should be better mental health services for Black and Ethnic Minorities . I live in London and we have the same problem with young black men committing suicide ..

  • @ThePrototype288 Thanks so much for stopping by to share those good thoughts with us Papi. It is so very sad. May God rest the souls of your friends that you lost as well. I read your comments on my guy eastside's finest review of Marsha's song. Suicide is real and I survived it twice. We def need more effective services in our communities of color.

  • @soymiguelalejandro23 Cheers ... I am just amazed how a unwell brother broke free from four officers .. Us brothers and sisters of color are so fucking mean to one , each other .. Quick to criticise one and another and put things under wraps .. We just need to chat to one and each other .. Be open minded and wise up .. Everyone is different .. Mental illness in not a curse or a sin .. It is real .. In London (and the UK) so much suicides - No prevention at all ..

  • @ThePrototype288 Ay - I take it that - well let me actually not assume any thing. Let me ask you before this world wide audience the reason why you believe that there is not enough mental health services in the U>K> and or if there are any even just a few why you feel that the blacks there do not or cannot take advantage of them. We def need to have more perspective on these things from across the pond. In America with Blacks & Latinos Mental Illness is still seen as taboo esp for the men.

  • @soymiguelalejandro23, Damn man that's very sad unfortunately we never discuss issuing like this in the black and Latino community because most of our people thinking they are faking it, or trying to be funny. We don't take issues like this serious enough because we as people consider that being weak or simply thinking someone is putting on because they can't physically see what's going on or it's not in the bible. It the same way for the LGBTQ community. Things need to change. R.I.P CHUKWUDI

  • @reddbro7TV thank you so much papi for blessing this conversation with your thoughts and insight to this crisis that has been taking place for many many years with in our communities but only now is beginning to come to light in a more constructive manner. particularly as it is happening directly under the noses of those who be so ignorant and arrogant as to deny it's very existence.

  • @soymiguelalejandro23, Your welcome. I think is conditioning of both the blk & Latino community. We don't talk about HIV/ AIDS (unless it affecting black women), Mental Health, LGBTQ community, education(for men), and everything what people think that's wrong for the black community always place blame on the white man which have nothing to do with our community. Our people see that as a weakness or they say thing like "get over it", or man up". I think it's sad we can't talk about issues.

  • @reddbro7TV you are dead on right about this... the floor is officially open and the time is here. I am pursuing my passion and I know that you have renewed your passion and commitment to discuss the things that matter the most within our communities. I love your broad range & the way that U bring the topics that U do forward. You have been given the gift. For this time my passion takes me in this direction - however I know that we both do this work from our hearts. I Sent U a 2nd video.

  • Thats sad bro. Great video and im glad to see that we have people like you in this world that will take the time and make a video for someone that was a wonderful. I hope this video inspires people to reach out and help one another.

  • @Hellnback005 thanks so much for that I pray that it will hold true. This is a life that should not be forgotten.

  • Aye Papa this still hurts me to know that this happened to you and that they couldn't save you...*cried again* Please Mi Gente let's do more to reach out and support those who we may be aware of who are living with a mental illness. You can help make a difference today!

  • wow this is so sad.. n surprisingly I never heard of this tragety.. its so shocking... but this video for him was done so nicely miguel... may his soul rest in peace...

  • I'm up watching the video this morning and still my heart breaks... this did not have to happen... this should not have happened. What went wrong... how did we fail him? We may never know.

  • Thanks for the video Miguel. I, being a survivor of two serious attempts, know the pain of being suicidal. I am almost in tears feeling the pain of what Onyenwe must have been feeling and thinking at the time he jumped. If only he had reached out before it got to the level of psychosis where he had no control. I pray everyday that I never get to that point because of my mental illness. Peace.

  • @baaadpuddytat This story breaks my heart in a million pieces because I don't think that he was trying to kill himself. I honestly believe that he may in fact have been in the midst of a strong delusion. He may have thought that he was escaping the police by swimming to safety and did not comprehend the distance that he was leaping. It brings tears to my eyes to think if his mind snapped back after he hit the water - if he survived impact and if he was swept into the Atlantic Ocean. :O(

  • @soymiguelalejandro23 yeah, I have pondered that too. I am sure he did not survive the impact. If he did he would have been unconscious and not in pain when he drowned. It is sad that his body hasn't been found. His family must be devastated. It absolutely breaks my heart too.

  • Till this day, his body has no been found, the last I heard from the recent reports online.(correct me if I'm wrong)

Looking at his beautiful; handsome pics you uploaded in this master piece vid you put together while knowing some of what he accomplished in his life made my eyes watery just now. The fact, this brother is no longer with us and that this tradegy was so close to home, makes me even sadder that maybe if I knew him, I could have helped him in some way.

    If I only knew him : (

  • @keshawn888 thanks for these heartfelt comment papa. You know I knew of this story from earlier but for some reason the Spirit impressed me very strongly to do this video at this time. Why not earlier?

This is surreal horrendous scary saddening mind blowing and more than I know how to put into words.

I plan to make a private vigil in honor of him in the days ahead for him. What tears me up is not knowing what he was thinking just before and during his leap.

  • @soymiguelalejandro23

You're welcome fam. You said "What tears me up is not knowing what he was thinking just before and during his leap". You and me both. I feel you!

  • @keshawn888 and in this is what we may never know. I would love if there is some footage available I'll search you tube to see if there is an interview with Police etc that may say what he may have said if anything during the pics you see as he was struggling or as he was preparing to leap. As far as know at this time I am the only person who honored him here and that makes me just as said that this beautiful man's life was not honored in a greater way!

  • @soymiguelalejandro23

Exactly. Thats why I have so much respect for you and hope to meet you, inperson someday. I too noticed you're the only 1 that has paid respect to Brother Onyenwe. Many are clueless or don't care, smh

Unlike others I am familiar with on youtube, YOU always focus on the positive; helping or reaching out to others in need or who may have taken their lives because of being bullied or not having anyone to help them when in need of LOVE & compassion! I admire that of you!

  • @keshawn888 thanks a million for that and I too look forward to us meeting in well in the days to come.

    Your spirit is priceless Keshawn!

  • All I can do is cry when I look at this because no one was able to save him.

You don't have to know someone personally to care about them.

No one deserves this no one... I am so sorry papi that this happened to you.

I hope that your soul is finally at rest ... with God your maker.

Love Always your brother, Soy Miguel Alejandro!

  • @soymiguelalejandro23

ThankU so much 4 paying respect to this Brother, Miguel. I'm sure those who TRULY LOVED him, would appreciate the beautiful piece you put together in memory of this man and I'm sure HE does too : )

You make me smile; just knowing there are other people out there besides me, like YOU who actually have a heart & care.

Love you, Miguel<3 and I feel his Spirit is in Peace; no longer suffering the horrors of this world, along side my uncles n aunts who passed away.

  • Wow, Papi, I don't remember here about this on national news. How sad. The way the mental ill are treated in this country is shameful

  • now I'm going to cry... It's stuff like this that should make the world come together and stop violence. WE SHOULD ALL COME TOGETHER AND SAVE THOSE IN NEED.

  • @DiamondJewels330 THAT'S it we must come together - please share this video it may help to bring more awareness... thanks mami you are a true jewel! :)
